Smoke purred again, leaning against her.

Twili smiled, holding Smoke close and scratching his back.

Smoke mewed, arching into her touch.

Twili hummed, nuzzling against Smoke's head with her nose.

Smoke mewed again, batting at her nose.

Twili pulled back a bit, moving to tickle Smoke's stomach.

Smoke purred, squirming a little.

Twili grinned, continuing to tickle the kitten.
Derlik was finishing up his work there, looking down at Nik.
"How you holding up?"

Nik was quiet, and just shrugged a little bit. "Fine." He replied softly.
Smoke mewed, nipping faintly at her fingers.

Derlik nodded some, careful to not jostle Nik.
"How does a drink sound?"
Twili twiddled her fingers at Smoke, smiling.

"Mm… good, unless your plan is to drug me." Nik replied, looking at him and squinting a little bit.
Smoke batted at her fingers.

Derlik held his hands up.
"Why the hell would I drug you?" He asked.
Twili looked up as she heard Derlik coming closer, still playing with Smoke.

He shrugged. "I don't know." He replied, eyes flicking away.

Derlik sighed softly.
"I promise I won't, if that means anything to you."

Nik nodded faintly. "Alright." He said softly.

"Alright, then let's go get those drinks." Derlik made his way over to Twili and Smoke, smiling some.
"You two coming?" Twili looked up, smiling a bit with a nod.

"Do I get to be full-size for the drinks?" Nik questioned, still seated on Derlik's shoulder.

"If you'd like, yeah," Derlik said, looking down. He offered his hand to Nik, Twili standing with Smoke in her arms.

Nik took Derlik's hand as best he could. "I would like to be big, yes."

"Alright, then." Derlik carefully lifted Nik up to set him on the pavement, touching his cheek with one finger. Soon enough, Nik was standing next to Derlik.

Nik shook himself faintly once he was upright, giving Derlik a faint smile. "Thanks." He said softly.

"You're welcome," Derlik said. He smiled back, glad to see Nik was able to give one. "So, shall we head to the nearest bar? I know one close by that's more upscale."

Nik nodded a little. "Yeah, sure. Sounds good." He said, looking up at Derlik.

Derlik nodded, turning to walk to the left. Twili followed, holding Smoke in her arms. She looked back at Nik, offering a small smile.

Nik followed Derlik, returning Twili's smile with a small one of his own. Smoke mewed faintly, purring.

Twili gently pet Smoke's back, holding him close. Derlik glanced back to check on the two, then continued down the road to the bar he had mentioned.

Smoke kept purring, leaning into her touch. Nik was quiet as he followed Derlik.

Derlik came to the door, opening it for Nik to let him in first. Twili hummed some, waiting to follow Nik in.

Nik went inside, glancing back at Derlik.

Derlik offered a small smile to Nik, motioning for Twili to follow after. She did, moving to sit in a booth. She offered a small smile to Nik, still holding Smoke.
