Arthur screamed, tears starting to flow down his cheeks.
Nik frowned faintly in his sleep, shifting a little.
Arthur screamed, tears starting to flow down his cheeks.
Nik frowned faintly in his sleep, shifting a little.
Derlik looked down when Nik moved, letting go of Arthur.
"You're lucky," he hissed at the small man, "that I don't want to wake him up."
Arthur was sobbing faintly, shaking.
Derlik let Arthur fall onto the boulder, hand falling on top of him to hide him from Nik should the man wake up.
Arthur yelped as he hit the boulder. Nik shifted faintly, pressing closer to Derlik, but didn't wake up.
Derlik pressed his thumb into Arthur's mouth to finally shut him up, perhaps a bit too hard. He wrapped his other arm around Nik again, relaxing.
Arthur whimpered faintly. Nik let out a faint sound in his sleep.
Derlik closed his eyes, fist coming around Arthur to lift him up again. Back to the pocket, where hopefully Nik wouldn't notice him.
Nik shifted again, pressing closer to Derlik's warmth, unintentionally burying his face in Derlik's shoulder.
(dsgdbkfjhsbdkjfh accidental cuddles are one of my favorite tropes and idk why lmao)
(Accidental cuddles really are the best though-)
Derlik let out a soft breath, smiling just a touch when Nik pulled closer. The god wrapped his arms around the man once more, resting his head on top of his. He wouldn't wake Nik up, not after the night he had. The snuggling wasn't a helping, either.
(especially because when the cahracters (Nik in this case) wakes up, he's going to be so embarrassed lmao)
Nik relaxed again at the gentleness, letting out a faint breath, but didn't wake up or pull away.
(Yessss so embarrassed XD)
Derlik was quiet, moving his hand up to run through Nik's hair. He smiled, relaxing himself. This was had he had wanted. He wanted Nik to feel like this all the time, not just when he was alseep.
Nik shifted faintly, leaning into Derlik's hand, and slowly beginning to wake up.
Derlik was still smiling when Nik was waking up, keeping silent as he rested with the man in his arms.
Nik eventually blinked his eyes open, looking up at Derlik for a moment, uncomprehendingly, before he remembered.
"Good morning," Derlik said, yawning softly. "Did you sleep better?"
He nodded faintly. "I…yeah."
"I'm glad…" Derlik hummed, offering a faint smile.
"How are you doing now?"
"Better." he said softly, shrugging a shoulder a little bit.
"That's good, then." Derlik was just happy to get an actual response to his question.
He nodded a little, pulling away a little bit. A faint blush had managed to creep onto his cheeks at waking up like this.
Derlik let Nik pull away, a sweet, tiny smile on his face as he spotted the blush.
Nik rolled onto his back, looking up at the sky and rubbing his face.
Derlik let his arms fall from around Nik, turning himself to look up.
Nik let out a faint breath, rubbing his eyes again.
Derlik was in a much better, nicer mood than Nik's first few days here- it was nice.
Nik wondered for a moment where Smoke was, but figured the kitten was fine.
Twili had brought Smoke back before dark, just like Derlik had asked, and was curled up and sleeping with him in the nearby woods.
Nik sat up, running his hands through his curly hair and taking a deep breath.
Derlik looked over, arms at his sides.
"Ready for some breakfast?"
