"Me? what are you on?" Eric said with frustration to Roxy now, "2004? It's 1981! I think you are the one that's high!"

@Tired-but-passionate

Reed scoffed under his breath. Okay, guess she doesn't have anyone to call.
He had his hands on the steering wheel, tapping his pointer finger and also feeling frustration rising in him. He took a moment to comb his fingers through his curly, bright blue hair. He could hear the other band members muttering in confusion and impatience.
"Roxy, there's a newspaper under the seat. If you can't somehow remember what the date is, look in that newspaper and remind yourself. Now, I'm going to start the van and get out of this gas station. I'm assuming you don't know anyone you could call." He looked over at Eric. "She clearly won't be safe on her own. Do you wanna kidna- I mean, take her with us?"

@CWPoofToxicRush

"I know the date. January 13, 2021. Jesus, I know I'm sleep deprived as fuck, but I'm not stupid." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. "I just got out of class, and I was trying to procrastinate my homework."

"She's out of her mind," Eric answered, "might as well take her with us." He got in the shotgun seat and handed the newspaper to Roxy. "Alright princess, today is January 14, 1981. Whatever act or game you are pulling on us, it's not funny anymore. We struggle to get by because of who we are and now you are close to putting us close to the edge of throwing you out while this van is still moving."

Zach used sign language to talk to Eric about Roxy. Eric answered back and told him everything through sign language also. Zach didn't have a problem with his hearing but he was mute. He lost his voice when he was 10 and hasn't spoken a word ever since. "The random girl is gay," Zach gestured.

"Why should I know this?" Eric gestured back, "and how do you know?"

"She's not acting like the other women in the crowd we saw at our first gig. She feels out of place."

(He's one of those people who just knows by looking at someone)

(My gaydar doesn't even turn on. Alright, so Zach is mute, he brought the snacks, and he is a walking gaydar)

@Tired-but-passionate

"I'm gonna start the vaaan," Reed teased. "Alright princess, you're coming with us, I guess." He caught Eric doing sign language. "Wait, did Zach say something?"
He put the keys in the ignition, and the van stuttered to life. Reed brought the van out of the gas station and waited before getting on the road, looking for an opening. For now, cars and buses passed by, blocking the road. He sighed.

@CWPoofToxicRush

Roxy looked out the back window, biting her tongue. "I'm not your fucking princess." She said, honestly questioning her sanity. Wait… 1981… NO THIS IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO BE GAY FUCK FUCK FUCK MOTHERFUCK OF A SHIT FUCK-

"I wasn't calling you MY princess. I'm just calling you that in general," Eric said as he was looking for an opening in the traffic, "there's an opening coming in a few feet." He looks over at Zach to see what he was doing. He was talking to Mathilda about Roxy. "Is she your type?" Zach gestured.

(Mc'scuse me? You have a list of fictional sons? I have never heard of that in my life)

Deleted user

(I'm not judging you in any way. I was just a bit confused since I never head that)

@Tired-but-passionate

(Do we want to just have one person control a different band member or are they just free to be used by whoever? That is unless someone else wants to join)

Reed nodded in acknowledgment, turning the wheel and getting on the road. He learned the hard way to keep his eyes on the road, so he just decided to leave Eric and the Roxy girl to their bickering. Turning his head slightly, he called, "Hey Zach, could you pass me some chips?"
He heard the crinkling of a plastic bag, and glancing down he saw the bag of chips next to him.
In the back seat, Mathilda slumped in her seat, with one foot on the driver's seat in front of her. She talked as she gestured back to Zach.
"She cute, I guess, but I don't know," she shrugged.

@CWPoofToxicRush

Roxy looked out the window, watching the scenery she's seen in hundreds of pictures pass her by, playing with the rips in her jeans. This is a dream. Instead of astral projecting, I fell asleep and now I'm dreaming. There is no way this is real-

(That sounds like a great idea)

Zach tapped Eric on the shoulder and asked him to translate so he can talk to Roxy. "Alright," Eric said with a small sigh as he puts the sandwich he was going to bite out of. "Hey princess. Zach wants to talk to you, but since he can't speak, I'm going to translate for him."

Zach started to make gestures and Eric started to talk. "I know I'm not having a real conversation with you right now with Eric translating for me, but why don't we get to know each other. I'm Zachary Chen. I joined the band just last year."

@Tired-but-passionate

They came to a stoplight and Reed took a moment to break open the chips. He popped one in his mouth and said, with his voice muffled by the food in his mouth, "And he's the greatest keyboard player I've ever met!"
Mathilda waved at Roxy, her expression flat. "Mathilda Valdez. Joined the band just after Eric and Reed started it."

(It's alright, don't worry about it. Everyone has that kind of day)

Eric took a bite out of his sandwich and started to chew. As he was still chewing his sandwich, he started putting chips in it. Eric started to speak after he swallowed, "listen Gothilda," a name he calls Mathilda, but she dislikes the name, "sandwich making is an art only a few people can master. You have to calculate the number of ingredients you want in your sandwich, along with how to blend all of them cleanly and evenly together. Am I right Reed?"

@Tired-but-passionate

Zach had smiled and blushed in acknowledgment of Reed's compliment, signing, "Thank you." Reed smiled back, seeing him sign through the front view mirror. Then he cocked his head at Eric before turning back to the road; they were moving again. "Who said anything about sandwiches?"
Mathilda rolled her eyes at Eric. They've had this conversation before. "Stop calling me that. And c'mon, why do you need to be a master to properly make a sandwich? They're just sandwiches. What really matters is the flavor."

Deleted user

"There are different flavors in the ingredients," Eric kindly argued. He was about to add something to his argument but saw that Roxy was unhappy. "What's wrong Roxy?" he asked, "are you feeling homesick or did you eat something that was on the floor of this van? This van isn't the cleanest. No offense Reed."
