"Good. Ari and Enrique are ready, we're just waiting on a go-ahead from my dad." Lucien said.

He nods and smiles a little bit. "Alright." He pressed a quick kiss to the others cheek before leaning into his arms again. Today was a good day, that was for sure.

He smiled again, happy to be able to leave and get married.

(alright!)

They were about halfway to their destination now. They were all on horseback, even René, who had his own horse and typically rode near his brother.

Aki was anxious since he had rarely ever traveled away from his hometown, even though his master had always left. He rode on the other side of Lucien, his eyes soft as he watched the road in front of them.

Lucien did his best to reassure Aki whenever the other man got anxious, a soft smile on his face whenever they spoke.

Aki was grateful that the other was willing to listen and talk to him. He'd talk quietly with Lucien to help ease himself, and that usually helped him relax. Lucien always helped him relax really.

Lucien smiled over at him. "So how are you doing?" He asked softly. "I know this is a lot."

He smiled softly. "It's nerve wracking. But… I'm excited." Aki's tail flicked back and forth. "Do you think… We can explore? Just for a little while after the ceremony?"

"Mhm! We totally can, if that's what you want." He replied, smiling over at Aki. "That sounds fun."

Aki beamed at that and nods excitedly. "That sounds wonderful then!" He says cheerfully, seeming a bit more at ease now. His anxiety had lowered a bit since he and Lucien were talking. So now he was able to enjoy the trip a bit more. The thought that he was going to get married soon sent shivers through his spine.

Lucien smiled back, happy. They were getting married. And, because of his own dual citizenship between the two countries because of his mother, the marriage would be legally binding in both countries, since both countries recognized same-sex marriage. His mother's country had recognized it for longer, but his birth country had recognized it for a few generations now.

(I cannot take anything seriously with what the "friends" have done to the forums. I almost had a stroke trying to read one of my replies - oof.)

Aki hopped off his horse for a minute so that he could walk for a bit. His legs were becoming stiff from how much riding they had done today. He was able to keep pace since they weren't going very fast, a bright smile on his lips as he walked.

(broo same here. I read "same-yiffy wiffy marriage" and nearly had a fucking breakdown lmaoo)

Lucien looked down at him. "You know, if we started running these horses, we'd leave you in the dust."

Aki huffed, "Surely you wouldn't do that." He teased, glancing up at Lucien before leaping back onto his horse and pouting a bit. "I just wanted to stretch my legs!"

(yes of course he is XD)

Lucien laughed quietly. "Well, we wouldn't have. I was jut making the comment that if we did, you'd be left behind."

He laughed as well, a small chuckle filled with warmth and amusement. "Yes, I suppose that's a fair point." He shrugged a little bit and smiled.

He grinned, leaning carefully over to kiss Aki's cheek. "Mm, I love you."

Aki grinned and kissed his cheek in reply, a sweet sigh leaving his lips. He took Lucien's hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it. "I love you too darling." He released his hand and gave a relaxed sigh.

Lucien hummed a little, leaning against him for a moment.

He smiles. "Do you want to ride on my horse for a little while?" He offered, tilting his head a bit.

He laughed a little bit. "Oh. Mm, maybe? I probably shouldn't be leaning across the gap like this, I'll fall." He straightened, looking over at Aki.

Aki nods and slows his horse. "Leaning on a gap like that is indeed dangerous." He laughed a bit before stopping his horse completely.
