(They've probably worked with each other on missions for the rebellion - I feel like Arlo's fought on his side from time to time even though she's not devoted to the rebellion in any way..)

Raising both eyebrows in subtle surprise, she nodded. "Right. Let me guess, assassination? No, you don't have enough kit to do it well. Infiltration, then. Meeting up with a contact? Don't leave me in the dark like this, Tamra."

@firestarter

(Essar's outside in the city. Everyone else is on the ship.)

(Oh, duh. I'm so smart… ;P)

(Shhh, you're okay, don't worry about it)

@firestarter

"Ah - right," Arlo amended. "Very delicate situation, I'm assuming. We can talk via private comm channel - you still have my comm frequency, right?"

@firestarter

"Oh, tell me you haven't gone soft in your rebellion years… wait." His last sentence registered in her head. "You aren't? Ah, what happened, vod? I know I never was anything more than a mild sympathizer, but you… you threw yourself into that cause." She tilted her head, as if it would help her understand a bit better. "You look tired now. More so."

@firestarter

This guy, she thought with a fond exasperation, always knew how to drag her into things. Huffing goodnaturedly, she nodded once. "Okay. I'll bite, Tamra. But you'd better make it good, yeah? I was in the middle of a ten minute break from adventure." She leaned down and picked up her heavy repeater, slinging it onto her back. She took a step back, gesturing to him in a well, lead the way sort of fashion. "Oya manda," she enthused.

@firestarter

(It's a Mandalorian phrase - it's a sort of cheer, you know, often said to pump up Mandos. It's an emotional, solidarity-like sort of phrase. It comes from "oya!" which means "let's hunt/hooray/go you/etc." It's my favorite mando phrase tbh)

"Well, it sounds like there are a ton of places to start from. How about this: if you're not about to kill someone, what are you doing? I like to have a dossier before I take part in a mission, but for you, I'll settle for word-of-mouth recaps." Arlo followed closely, glancing over the different faces, alert as always.

(Yuss! Thank you! I'm a Mado enthusiast so this is great!)
"Well, I've currently got a crew and we're just kind of going to screw the empire a lot, but we received a distress signal from a kid who figured out her parents are deep in it with the senator di'kuts, so we're rescuing her."

Shiloh noticed Winter's conflicting expression. "What's wrong?" she asked worriedly.

@firestarter

"Ahhh - altruism. I like that. Very honorbound Supercommando of you - it does me proud. So it's just a quick hop over to her place to get her out? That's manageable. I'd like to shoot a senator." Arlo paused, realization flickering in her eyes. A slow half-smile found its way to her face. "Well, vod - you may have left the rebellion, but you haven't left behind its ideals."

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

"Yeah, but I had reasons to leave." He paused. "This is the place." He said, gesturing to the walled country house. "We need to check what they've got for security and how best to get in."

Elias saw tears start to fall from Winter's face. He got up, and sat beside her, and put his arm around her. "Shh. It's ok. I know this girl is trying to connect with you somehow, and she's breaking you mentally. I'm here. It's ok to break. It's ok to let your guard down here. I got you…"

@firestarter

"Hm. Rebellion screw you over? I wouldn't have trusted them, vod." She looked up at the walls enclosing the property, whistling lowly. "So, this. What's the plan here? Scale the wall and… what? Got blueprints of this place?"

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

"Yeah, kind of." He said as he scanned the wall. "As for plan, right now I'm just doing reconnaissance and no, I don't have blueprints." He looked the wall again. "I'm going to quick climb up and see what we're dealing with, and then we head back to my ship."

@firestarter

"Copy," Arlo replied, turning and hefting her repeater into prime firing position. "I'll keep watch. Let you know if anything goes wrong. Be quick, now."

Elias was comforting Winter as best as he could. He knew that the girl they were trying to rescue wouldn't respond. He felt it too. He felt brief moments of panic, but never what Winter felt. He hadn't felt pain from the girl yet. Maybe she had a closer bond with a female than a dude…

@firestarter

She huffed out a laugh. "I'm Mando, Tamra. No one is going to question you about your big gun if they feel that you're going to use the big gun on them. Imperials don't look twice - I've been on their payroll more than enough." A pause, before she added, "though for one job, I had to smuggle it in an instrument case. Coulda used some pistols, but this thing is my child."

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

He chuckled. "Hardly a child. Kids require a lot more care then a weapon. Trust me." He peeped over the top of the wall. A stately garden was situated before him. He pulled out some macronoculars. The garden didn't have any alarms, or the house. But there were guards. The house was stately too. Very open and sprawling. Lots of windows. He climbed back down.

@firestarter

She hummed. "Ah, that's right - you have experience, don't you? It would have been an honor for me to have a child of my own, but ever since my cyar'ika was killed… it never felt right. So," she said, patting her repeater, "I adopted." Arlo glanced behind to peer up at the estate he was casing, waiting for him to finish up. "How's it looking, then?"

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

He landed. "Looks pretty tame. We've dealt with way worse. There's guards, but it doesn't look like there's much of a security system. If there is, my droid can hack pretty much anything she puts her mind to."
(Arlo wouldn't know Hi-5 since Essar found her after he left the rebellion.)

@firestarter

"Knowing you, vod, I'm sure your droid is quite the character, hah." Arlo replaced her firearm on her back, rolling her shoulders. "So, then, what? Back to meet the family, reconvene - and then we form a plan and strike. Right?" She looked back at the estate. "I'd love to take some guards on about now. I can wait, though."

@firestarter

(Alright, I'm heading to a meeting in about 10, 15 minutes, and it'll take me 1 1/2 to 3 hours to get back, depending.)
