Mia continued to hum, which eventually turned into a soft song. She ran her fingers through his hair, quiet. It was so much better now, without Astral on their minds.
Mia continued to hum, which eventually turned into a soft song. She ran her fingers through his hair, quiet. It was so much better now, without Astral on their minds.
Simon was glad, thankful to put the god out of his mind, even if only for this moment. He closed his eyes, listening to the song.
The song was simple, with a story to it. How the children in it would spend the day in a field of flowers, and the nights in pools of stars.
It sounded nice, Simon let himself picture it in his mind. It made him miss Earth, wishing he could run wild and free like those children.
It was just so sweet… Mia couldn't help but wish for it, too. To even just see the stars again, or to be in a field.
((fuckin Astral let them go vibe I stg))
Simon would give anything to be in a place like that right now. To be somewhere so peaceful and be able to run free.
(Like they'll let Astral close enough to take them to earth again)
Mia would have too. When the song finally was done, Mia closed her eyes, letting out a sigh.
"Lord, wouldn't that be nice…
((get your logic away from me))
“Mhm…” he nodded. “I haven’t run around somewhere in a long while. Or just taken time to stare up at the sky…I was always too busy.”
"Me too," Mia agreed. "It would be so nice."
“Yeah..there’s so many things I regret doing and not doing now that I’m here.” He sighed softly. “Oh well..”
"Yeah… but, at least we're okay for now, yeah? We're not being hurt, and we'll be able to do something for ourselves.
“Yeah. I really am glad we’re not being hurt. So, so glad….from my experience, that’s normally what would be going on right now.”
Mia nodded.
"Mine, too. It's… strange, almost." Mia let out a breath, lightly resting her head back.
Simon nodded in agreement. “Yeah….it is really strange. But I’m glad for it.”
"Me too. It's so nice…" Mia smiled softly, her fingers going through Simon's hair.
“I hope it can stay this way. But it also makes me kind of nervous you know? I'm always sort of worrying that he's going to come back at any moment." He said, leaning into her touches.
"I am too. Still, we've got to stay positive, yeah? He hasn't shown any signs of doing that yet, so we'll just have to be careful." Mia kept up the gentle touches, glad to see Simon enjoying them.
“Yeah I guess you’re right…just gotta be careful.” He echoed, letting out a content sigh. Things were good for right now, and that’s what was important.
"I'm sure things'll work out," Mia said, nodding to herself. "We can do this." Stay positive. Giving in to hopelessness would only hurt them more.
“We can do this.” Simon agreed. He knew they had to try and stay positive. If they didn’t believe things could get better, what was the point in going on?
Mia offered a smile, managing a chuckle.
"It'll be nice, to have our own lives." She settled down some, hugging Simon a moment.
“Yeah it will be…what would you want to do? With your own life?” Simon asked, looking up at her.
"Well… I'd like to be able to settle down. Just… really, just live a normal life. Maybe find a wonderful woman to live it with." Mia smiled softly at the thought. Of being back with her lover.
“Aww that sounds really nice.” He said, smiling at her. “I hope you can find someone to make you happy.”
"Me too… what about you? What do you want?" Mia looked down, offering a small smile in turn.
His smile faltered for a moment. “Ummm I don’t know. I’ll probably just end up somewhere peaceful by myself. I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to try and find anyone else.”
"Yeah, that makes sense… We'll keep in touch, though, right?" Mia smiled, fingers moving again when Simon's smile faltered.
“Of course we will! I need someone to talk to so I don’t get bored out of my mind, right?” He said, a bit of his smile returning.
"True! It'll be so fun, to hang out like that." Mia grinned slightly, hugging Simon.
“It sure will be.” Simon agreed, hugging Mia in response. “I’m looking forward to it.” It was nice, making plans, even if there was a good chance they wouldn’t happen.
