"FIne, leave." James went to his room.
"The things I do for that boy…"

Lio sighed as he walked through the empty hallway. It seemed like it was filled with photos and paintings on the wall. He suddenly heard his sister talking to someone in the library. H walked in and saw another person. "Sister? Who is this?"

Peregrine glared as the other girl approached. "Depends. Who's asking?" She replied, reaching for her sword. "And what even is this place? I was just walking through the forest." The swordswoman's sharp, yellow eyes bored into the other's as she spoke.

James flopped on his bed and thought about that castle. He thought it was cool, personally he had always been interested in exploring. Not that he had much time to do that, him being a prince. So James decided to go back. Besides the Dark Kingdom didn't look so bad and evil. So he took his horse again and rode all the way there. He stopped at the treeline and looked at it. It was so beautiful.

She turned around when she heard Lio's voice. "That's what I'm trying to figure out. She appeared out of nowhere and she still hasn't told me who she is and why she's even here. Maybe she has to do something with the horse they spotted near the borders of the kingdom."
She then turned to Peregrine when she started to talk. "My name is Vanessa Varcos, princess of the Dark Kingdom." Her eyes went down to the sword. "I don't think you'll be needing that. This, where you are right now, is a palace."

"JAMES!! IT'S TIME FOR DINNER!" He roared.
"James?" He looked in his room.
"Dammit…" He said, going after James. He caught up to him.
"James…"

James carefully and quietly got off his horse and headed inside the stable. He adored horses and gasped once he saw a colt with it's mother. The mother reared but calmed down once he knelt down. Then he got into the stable and pet the colt and the mother. He gave them some sugar cubes out of his pocket.

"JAMES!" He shouted, behind James

James turned around and saw his father. The mother reared again knocking James down. "Ouch!", James touched his head but calmed down the mother. "Father….stay where you are and be quiet….. You startled them.", James whispered.

"James… You are in so much fucking trouble when we get home." He said, looking at what James was doing.

Lio stared at the swordsman. "I agree with my sister. If you dare use that weapon in the palace you'd be killed." Lio shrugged. "These roles aren't mine. It's my father's." He looked down, sighing.

"James… stay on guard."

"He has a point. I doubt you'd want to be killed. If I may, you said you found the palace by walking through a forest, right? Why were you walking through the forest in the first place?" Vanessa asked. She swore that she heard two voices coming from outside the palace…

James rolled his eyes, "Why are you so afraid? Anyways, I have come twice and they haven't found out."

"because we are in enemy territory! Who knows what they will do if they find out?" He whispered

James shrugged, "They don't seem that bad. Besides," he pointed to a window that showed books inside, "they have books so how bad can they be?"

"Is that your only reason why you are here?" He asked

"So a woman can't walk through a forest anymore?" Reluctantly, Peregrine let go of her sword. She scoffed at Lio's comment. "I'd kill them first. Palace guards aren't as strong as people make them out to be."

"Now, James, be quiet! And we can leave without dying…" He whispered

James stopped walking, "What do you mean? If you are suggesting there's a princess I long to see your out of your mind." He looked away. While that was the truth he had heard of a prince here. But he had forgotten about that until now.

"Oh, please. I know you're gay." He said, whispering

"Well, of course, they can. I was just curious, that's all." She rolled her eyes at Peregrine's comment. "Bold of you to assume that the Palace guards would be the one to kill you." She looked at her brother. What should we do Lio? Obviously, we can't tell father. Who knows what he'll do to her if he finds out she managed to get into the palace. I think it's better if we get her out of here."

Lio shook his head. He quickly shifted his head to the window and saw the Prince and the king of the Enemy side. "Vanessa! Get over here! Enemies in our territory…" He hissed.

"GODDAMMIT!! WE'RE LEAVING!" He said, grabbing James, and leaving

"Well, of course, they can. I was just curious, that's all." She rolled her eyes at Peregrine's comment. "Bold of you to assume that the Palace guards would be the one to kill you." She looked at her brother. What should we do Lio? Obviously, we can't tell father. Who knows what he'll do to her if he finds out she managed to get into the palace. I think it's better if we get her out of here."

"You want to get rid of the swordsman or the enemy? What will we get more reword out of?" Lio chuckled.

James was surprised his father knew but quickly hid it with a smirk, "Yeah right. Like I need anything else to make me different from the rest of you."

James drew away from his father, "Im done of doing what you say!"

The swordswoman rolled her eyes. "Those two," she muttered. "Why am I not surprised?" Peregrine glared in their direction, stepping back as to not be seen by them. "They're everywhere."

She ran to the window and peeked out. Sure enough, the prince and king of the Light Kingdom were outside, in a conversation. "Well, if they're trying to ambush us, it's not going to work. You would've thought they would have been more sneaky and not just be standing outside a window." She thought of it and smiled a bit. "The enemy, of course. The swordswoman may be a threat to us, but I don't mind her." She paused and looked at the swordswoman. "You know them?"

Lio jumped out of the window and landed on his knees. He started chasing after them. "Hey! Wait! Why are you here!?" He yelled out to them while chasing them.
