I just wish that when I tell someone that I want to spend time with them, that they would realize that it can't be made up to me by just buying me something. I want your fucking attention, time, and presence. Not some kind of material replacement for it. Is that really too much to understand? I don't care if you can't spend time with me or don't want to spend time with me, but giving me something "to make up for it" just really does nothing for me except make me more upset than I already was.

other people just have different love languages
I’m guessing yours would be quality time? I’m sure theirs would be gift giving
don’t get mad, they’re just trying their best to make it up to you in a way that makes sense to them
you can try to kindly explain that you don’t see gifts the same way as they do

I just made chocolate chip pancakes but I made too many and I have to eat them all so now I want to throw up

Me, writing at 2 in the morning: Eloquent sentences with descriptive language, abstract plot devices, foreshadowing and obscure references to old myths and legends, every single character has at least four motifs attached to them, every color is symbolic, is this chaos or genius, experts are baffled.
Me writing in the middle of the day while I'm wide awake: Has written half a chapter in three hours and spent most of that time laughing bc I spelled 'Your Grace' as 'You're Grace'
