He picked her up and put her to bed

She was snuggling with her stuffed animal bunny, still feverishly warm.

He fell asleep beside her

They slept for a good, long while, and then, outside, it began to storm again. There was a sharp clap of thunder and a white scar of lightning, and rain beating the windows, and wind howling at the door, and Nyx woke up.

Vozzie woke up too

"Listen to the rain," she murmured.

"Sounds nice."

"I've always loved the sound of rain… we almost never heard it when I was growing up…"

"I know… I've heard rain so many times… But it always sounds nice."

She smiled and wrapped an arm around his chest. "Vozzie?"

"Yes, Nyx?" He asked. D2H was asleep

"We should probably plan the wedding some more."

"Yeah…" He got on his laptop.
"I was thinking we dress up the men in Rafter suits… And the Women in Rafter dresses. Cheap, I know…" He said.
"And we'll have roses and… What's your favorite flower?"

"…I don't really have one… but lilies smell nice…"

"Roses and Lilies!" He exclaimed. "And how many people are coming?"

"Phoenix… she's the only person I know, really… and maybe some other government people too…"

"I know the entirety of Paradox Vortex is coming too…"

"Oh." She peered over his shoulder at his computer.

He was making seating arrangements

"We're having it at the Celestial Council, right?"

"Correct. Why do you ask?"

"Just making sure." She relaxed back into the pillows. "Who's your… oh, what's it called… best something-or-other…"

"Best man? I don't know yet…" He admitted

"That's okay. I don't think you're required to have one or anything." She leaned against him.

"It's only a thing because Wedding were basically first come first serve in terms of the Bride, and that if thw Groom was mortally wounded, the best man with a sword could fight for him."

"Really? I didn't know that."

"It's true." He told her.

(I'd tell my fiancé, but then he'd get ideas)
"Cool. What other wedding things do you know about?"

"That the reason brides wear white is to show off status, not purity."
