(It’s alright, life is mean sometimes)
“He did.” Franziska agreed, scowling. The prosecutor, of course, wasn’t even surprised anymore; she’d already seen maddening things for hours since she arrived here. Though, what she did look surprised by was that the strange man came back.
She glanced at the others, then raised a brow. “I think we’ll be fine. We have at least two people who can use magic, and we have me.” Franziska confidently placed a foot down in front of her, tugging her whip.
"Hm." RinRin says. "Plan? Or just brute force if it attacks?"
"Hm… I have no plan, or magic… that i can use. I do have a few knifes.."
“I have an idea. I’ll use my whip to overwhelm its senses- I’ll aim for the face and try to herd it where it needs to go. You.” She pointed at Rin, “you will help me, using your weird magician powers.” Franziska continued, pointing at the skeleton. “You will find weak points and stab those.” The prosecutor pointed to Hildegard, “You will obviously use your stick magic. And you, Ms. Fey… I’m not sure if you have any abilities that are useful in a fight, so do what you do best and cheer us on and tell us where to strike.”
“But if any of you have any better suggestions…”
"Oh alright," Maya said with a sigh. "Obviously, channeling a dead person or being accused of murder for the millionth time won't be of any help in this situation, so, yeah cheering you guys on it is!"
"Honestly, that sounds like an excellent plan to me, and if any of you have any other suggestions, then speak now or forever hold your peace," Hildegard said as she took out her wand from the pocket of her ministry robe and grinned, ready to attack the griffin dragon creature. Her grin slowly faded as what Maya said seemed to register in her brain. She blinked and turned to Maya. "Wait, what do you mean by being accused of murder???? How are you so nonchalant about this????"
"Meh, it happens. A lot. I've…gotten used to it by now. Nick, though…well he and Mr. Edgeworth are absolutely tired of it by now." Under her breath, she mumbles, "Please, whoever wants to frame me for murder next, can we maybe not? My friends and I need a break. A really long break, preferably." She knew full well her prayer was unlikely to be answered or heeded, but hey, it's worth a shot.
"Hm." he nodded, standing at the ready.
"It sounds good to me." Varuni pulled out her knifes, and the green light in her eyes grew bigger, encompassing almost her entire socket.
(who wants to write as the draffin?)
(not me)
"Why thank you." Franziska bowed, looking incredibly pleased with herself. "It's almost like I'm amazing, or something."
Crossing her arms, the woman added onto the conversation. "I can attest to that. I was the prosecutor for one of them, my brother was, as well." She nodded, turning to Maya. "You need some kind of-" She waved her free hand in a vague gesture, "-restraining order for murder."
(who wants to write as the draffin?)
(I could if nobody else wants to. I'll also need you to give a description-)
(its a griffin dragon hybrid. i just thought of something dangerous, i didn't think about a description. You can make your own if u want.)
"I don't think a restraining order is going to work," Maya responded with a roll of her eyes. It seemed she needed something magical to stop her from being falsely accused, as normal things have failed to work. "But, I mean, what are the odds of me being accused of something like murder in the middle of nowhere? it's just us, this forest, and the creature that's currently charging toward us."
Varuni nodded. "No legal trouble in the forest. just beasts and monsters. and us, i guess." She said, sliding daggers out of their sheaths, and sliding them into her leg, between the bones. they stayed there, secure.
“Yes, I realize that. I was joking.” Franziska muttered, squeezing her shoulder past her poofy sleeve. She seemed to be feeling a little awkward, probably because, like she said just a minute ago, she was her prosecutor once.
She glanced at Varuni with a confused look; “Okay? You just slightly changed what Ms. Fey just said.”
"… i was agreeing." She muttered, looking at Franziska. "that thing cant kill me, so i'm helping you cause i feel like it. might not want to change my mind" she said softly.
“I honestly couldn’t care less if you help us or not.” Franziska deadpanned, “But if it comforts you in any way, my intention was simply to point out that what you said wasn’t how you make proper conversation, not insult you.”
RinRin rolled his eyes at the argument. "This is ridiculous," he muttered to himself. He teleported above the monster and fell, elongating his dagger into a claymore sword, pointing the tip towards the beast. The blade punctured straight through its heart. RinRin twisted the blade, and the beast stopped moving. He walked away, sure that group was hopeless. He went further out looking for something else to kill. Maybe they'll be done by the time they realize the monster is dead and I'm gone.
(Dude…)
(Hm? I was thinking there's another from the opposite direction, charging them)
"Sorry, i didn't mean to… sigh I haven't seen people for about two hundred years… i'm a bit out of practice." Varuni noted, setting her had and satchel aside. "The first is dead, but theres another charging from the other way." She said, the green in her eyes shrinking a bit afterword.
"THERE'S TWO???????" Maya yelled as she turned to face Varuni. She opened her mouth and then closed it. "Well, I suppose there's just one, but how are we to know there isn't an entire herd of draffins charging towards us?? What if they can just sense where we are by smell???"
"You know, Miss Fey has a point," Hildegard said. "We know nothing about this creature, except that it's a mix of a dragon and a griffin….that's the size of an elephant. I just hope we'll be able to defeat this creature without killing it, if possible."
RinRin walked through the trees, teleporting every so often. One time, he accidentally teleported into a pack of wolves. He stood dead still, only intending to attack if they did. All the wolves backed away and the alpha came forward. He understood it in his mind. Who are you and where have you come from? the wolf said. RinRin morphed into a timber wolf equal in size to the alpha. He communicated back to the alpha, I'm just a random stranger passing through. I mean you no harm. In fact, I believe we could benefit from each other. I wish to make a proposal.
What kind of proposal? the alpha asked.
If it's alright with you, I would ask to become the alpha. I can feed your pack at least twice as much as they've been able to scour. In exchange, I request your companionship and combat skills and strategy. RinRin answered.
Thrice the food and you have a deal. We have had a difficult few months with little food. Alpha responded.
Deal. Have you a name?
No, you may name me if you wish.
Alpha. RinRin said. He morphed back into his human form. Follow me. We shall seek out your first good meal in months.
He started walking in search of a large boar or something.
(rinrin isolating himself XDDDD)
Once Franziska noticed the absence, she groaned, frustratedly grasping at the air, but inhaled, trying to calm herself down. No time for anger. Why wasn’t anything going her way?? “Okay. We’re down a member. That’s fine. We still have the woman with the god-stick. And at least there’s only one, now.” She muttered. This place, and these people were breaking her. She was not used to this level of chaos. Oh, how she longed to be back in the courtroom.
“We don’t. We might as well have a tracker on us, for all we know,” she replied, not even trying to sugarcoat it. “So listen up: We need to make sure this thing doesn’t rip us to shreds. So get into position, and don’t waver from the plan.” The prosecutor announced in a slight militaristic tone. It (unsurprisingly) seemed that she had a knack for giving orders/bossing people around.
Varuni nodded, eyes adjusting again. "I don't think there are any more that we didn't already know about." Varuni whispered.
(Heya! Can I join? I’ve been looking older a roleplay and this seems to be my style)
(Ack that was a typo- for not older)
(Of course! Feel free!)
