(Of course!)
(Nice!)
Maya looked up at Franziska and a frown appeared on her face. She seemed….familiar. She felt like she should know who this girl was, but no matter how hard she tried, she didn't have a name to go with this new, yet familiar face. She smiled and used the whip to pull herself up. "Thank you," she said and brushed off any dirt from her kimono. "So, uh, I was kinda training near a waterfall in my village, and then there was this huge earthquake. I kinda fell into the water and the next thing I know, I'm surrounded by thousands of trees! I've been walking for hours trying to find someone." She paused. "Hm, I wonder if Nick would believe me if I told him about this…." she trailed off, realizing something. Turning to Franziska, she says, "Hey, ah, have we met before? You seem really familiar for some reason, and, well, you even know my name! Not many people do and I don't think you're one of Nick's clients either."
RinRin jumps down, cracking the ground. Fortunately, he's in a dimension of his own creation, so nothing is actually destroyed. "Hm." He rises into the air, opens a portal, and flies into the real world. He reaches out with his senses, searching for any beings worth his attention. He felt a group of individuals. Humans. He flew towards them, hoping he could get there before they left. He spotted them and hovered for a little bit, waiting to see if any of them noticed him.
Franziska didn't understand why Maya frowned, but chalked it up to their somewhat rocky relationship. But then she smiled? Well, she wasn't exactly an expert on human interaction, so who knows. The prosecutor plucked a twig out of Maya's hair and flicked it to the side. "I see. A similar thing happened to me as well, oddly enough…" She huffed thoughtfully.
Okay, now she was very confused. But she answered anyway. "Well, I wouldn't say it was a very formal meeting, so I suppose I should introduce myself with a bit more grace." She did her signature curtsy, "Franziska von Karma, that is me." She smiled confidently, puffing out her chest while she looked down at the shorter woman. "If you don't remember me by appearance, you likely remember me by this;" She turned, whipping a tree, which dropped a branch. (Franziska watched it like a cat that just knocked something off a counter.) "And no, you don't remember me as a client. I'd die before I'd let Mr. Phoenix Wright defend me."
It seemed she was too busy talking to the purple-adorned woman to realize anything was above them. Plus, the canopy probably helped to obscure him.
the SKELETON (shes a skelly guys) Looked up, noticing the entity. she didn't trust it. people here seemed content on ignoring her though, so she didn't bother saying anything. she did, however, continue watching the entity.
After about half an hour, RinRin realized they were deep in conversation. Being careful not to make a lot of noise, he teleported onto a branch about 15 feet from the group. It seemed like the focus was mostly on a woman dressed entirely in purple. He started listening to their conversation, but he couldn't make any sense of it.
Varuni looked straight an Rin, but still didn't say anything.
Maya watched as Franziska whipped the tree, and watched curiously. She couldn't say for sure that she completely remembered her, but there was a sort of recognition there. "Huh, yeah, I do remember someone with a whip…but the rest is….sorta fuzzy. Like….if the rest is…I don't know, locked away?" She shrugged, and Hildegard noticed that the girl didn't seem to be concerned about her possible memory problems.
Hildegard turned towards Varuni, who was looking straight up at a branch. She walked towards her and stopped, sensing…something. She looked up and blinked when she noticed Rin. "Er guys, it seems we have another newcomer…"
"Oh, perfectly alright, I'm sure you'll get your memory back." She replied. For some reason, Franziska wasn't at all angry that she didn't remember her, only slightly frustrated. This prosecutor really was an emotional enigma.
"Great. More people." She muttered, squeezing her weapon. Franziska looked just about ready to whip the branch the newcomer was standing on. But she didn't, because hospitality or whatever.
RinRin glanced at the skeleton. Then he saw a girl look up at him, then another. "Hm." He jumped off and floated down. "So, what's going on?" he says casually, sensing the girl with the whip's desire to use that whip on him. He throws up a mind shield, invisible to the eye. He summons his staff, and leans on it casually, defying standard physics.
"Huh. is anyone going to acknowledge my presence yet, or am i just going to stand here and be ignored?" Varuni asked noticing the mind shield. being magical, she could see most things that normally couldn't be seen. she didn't bring attention to it though, instead just kinda… being there.
"I mean, I saw you, I just wasn't sure if you were capable of speech, considering your lack of warning to my presence." He smiled. "I know you know I was there, and I knew you were here. I nodded my head like 'what's up' but you didn't respond."
"i didn't notice." varuni noted, her eyes dimming a bit. "I'm Vai." she said, offering her hand.
RinRin shakes her hand. "RinRin. Good to meet you, although I'll admit I never thought I'd meet a living skeleton."
"Apologies for not saying anything when you arrived," Hildegard said to Varuni. "I was a little distracted, and I have to admit, seeing a living skeleton…well…was perhaps less than pleasant. In our world, the closest thing to living skeletons would be Inferi. But they're dead people that were brought to life using Dark Magic. They're more mindless zombies than skeletons…"
Franziska scowled, tugging her whip. She felt something was off with this man. She glanced back at Maya to study her expression, silently trying to get her opinion.
But seeing as everyone else was at least tolerating him, she got out of her defensive stance, though still had an untrusting sneer. Looking at the skeleton, Franziska raised a brow, she didn’t understand why she was upset. But she turned her attention back to the newcomer a few seconds after.
"Need something?" he asked the girl with the whip(not the nae nae XDDD). He tried to pry into her mind, which usually wasn't hard, but she seemed to have some sort of mental barrier. She had been scowling at him, and he kind of wanted to know why.
Varuni 'smiled' at Hildegard. "Its quite understandable. I am from this world, but from deep underground. the rest of my species died off thousands of years ago. I am quite lucky he didn't get me then, and hasn't found me now." Vai said, the green light in her eyes completely diminishing, as she did her equivalent of a smile. (its more of a sweeping sign with her hands as her mouth just opens and closes, and doesn't move any other way.)
“No.” She replied blankly. (Shut up lmfao-) If he could see the barrier in his mind, it would appear as a massive semi-translucent blue gem, surrounding a reflection of Franziska herself, her back turned to him. He shouldn’t take any of it personally though; Franziska isn’t exactly friendly to most people, and said ‘most people’ don’t really understand why. She just has an odd aggressive aloofness to her.
(I didn’t mean literally-)
"Hm." he turned back. He heard a rustle in the bushes 20 feet away. "Something's coming," he says. He jumped, did a backflip, and vanishes in a wisp of red smoke. (similar to how dracula from Hotel Transylvania does it, but with a backflip and no bat)
Franziska did not look happy. Well, more than usual. “And the coward left us here to fend for ourselves.” She huffed, looking around, her whip at the ready, making sure everyone was out of range. Honestly, she probably wanted there to be a fight.
RinRin appeared on a branch 10 feet behind the whatever-it-was. He saw a creature that was as big as an elephant, except it looked like a mix between a griffin and a dragon. RinRin summoned his staff and a Rinusa Blade and teleported back to the group. "It's very large," he says.
(haha sorry, we had no electricity all Sunday and most of Monday)
Maya's eyes widened at Rin, and then she watched as he vanished. She blinked and frowned. "Did he…just…"
"Leave us alone without any explanation on what was coming our way?" Hildegard supplied.
Maya turned to the witch and nodded. "Yeah, that.." Though Maya was also a bit surprised about the guy's disappearance. Perhaps, he was a magician of sorts. Moments later, Rin appeared, and Maya crossed her arms, eyeing him "What is very large?"
Varuni was just standing there, confused.
"The thing in the bushes," he replied. "It's as big as an elephant, but it looks like some strange griffin x dragon hybrid." He frowned. "It's still several hundred feet out but it's charging towards us like it knows we're here and wants to kill us all. I don't know but that thing looks dangerous."
Varuni was just standing there, confused.
