“There isn’t a problem. I recommend that you mind your business.” Somehow, she wasn’t phased by the fact that this woman was a skeleton.

Varuni frowned. "I wouldn't need to intrude on yours if you were nicer to people." She turned to Hildagrid. "Are you alright miss?"
That was probably a bad decision. As that comment had completely undone any bit of calmness that Franziska had regained.
Hildegard narrowed her eyes at Varuni and frowned. "I'm fine, thank you very much," she replied in a curt, cold voice. "Though, I am afraid you might have just made an enemy…." She trailed off and tilted her head to the side, thinking of something.
(I'm tempted to add one of my star wars oc's or a canon character🧍)
(Do it.)
Varuni glanced back. "not a very good one.." she muttered turning back to Fran. "I apologize, i seen to have misread the situation." she said, holding out her hand
The prosecutor looked at Varuni’s hand in disgust, as if she was holding ten giant worms. “I’d..prefer not to make any sort of physical contact with you.”
Varuni rolled her eyes. "you have bones inside of you, whats the difference?"
"Oh, please. I'm not as shallow as to judge you by appearance. I'm judging you by your actions."
"Well can you blame me for checking to see if your company was alright? i heard arguing and a whip crack. You would probably assume the same thing i did in my position. and besides, i apologized for my mistake." Varuni was speaking in a polite tone.
The prosecutor scoffed and muttered something in German with a hateful tone, squeezing her whip tightly whilst glaring at Varuni. Yep. Still angry.
"I hope you will forgive me. i truly am sorry." Varuni kept her hand up for another moment.
“Like I said, I will not be taking your hand. But your sincerity…will suffice.”
"Alright. that will do." She turned to go
Franziska raised a brow as the skeleton left, then glanced at Hildegard with a slight frown.
Getting the fire started after clearing any flammables, she sat down, legs close to her chest, sighing.
Varuni sat down nearby, writing something
Hildegard sat down on a rock and watched Franziska do whatever the hell she was doing "Hey, Fran…ziska…" She definitely wasn't about to call her Fran. Absolutely not. "You mentioned you had a brother before, is he like, a prosecutor like you?"
(I recently started playing ace attorney and i kinda wanna add Maya to the RP 🤔🤔🤔)
The von Karma raised a skeptical brow at Hildegard, looking her up and down, likely trying to judge if she should even respond. She decided that she might as well, hesitating before replying with a flat "Yes." Another pause, and she continued, "Yes, he is. 'The Demon Prosecutor' they call him. I, personally, don't understand the title, I see nothing 'demonic' about that man, other than his signature dark raspberry red.”
(Do it.)
(just decided to drop her character info before i go to sleep. i'll write a response to yours tomorrow. dunno if this is going to be early justice for all maya (there's a high probability that it won't since I'm still not done with rise from the ashes), so maybe just Maya a couple after turnabout goodbyes)
Name: Maya Fey
Age: 17
Gender: female, she/her
Race: Human
Appearance: Maya has blue eyes and long black hair with bangs on the front. Her hair is partially tied up in a topknot with a purple band, with two large sections (or small, it depends) of her hair draped over her shoulders, and decorated with two large beads near the end. Sometimes, the rest of her hair is tied with a purple band. Maya wears a purple kimono, dark-colored wooden sandals, with the thong strap of the sandal being purple, and a necklace with her magatama with four orbs, which represent how far along in her training she is.
Background: When Maya was two, her mother seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth after her mother had been deemed a fraud after a trial was concluded. Her sister would later leave Kurain Village and forsake her position as heir to become a lawyer and find out the truth of the case that caused their mother to disappear. She kept in contact with her sister over the years and even kept important evidence safe for cases Mia was investigating. In September of 2016, Maya was accused of murdering her own sister, and Phoenix Wright defended her, which started the friendship between the two. After the trial, Maya became a co-counsel to the Defense Attorney. Maya helped Phoenix with two cases before returning to Kurain Village to continue her training, as she thought she was useless and not of any help to Phoenix during the Miles Edgeworth trial.
Other: She really really really likes burgers (or ramen, really i think she loves both). R.I.P to Phoenix's wallet considering he's the one that pays for all of those meals. (my own personal heacanon which won't be mentioned in the roleplay at all, but after miles pulls THE STUNT, maya and miles occasionally talk shit about nick and discuss the steel samurai and other related stuff. they're besties fr.)
(YESSSSSSS)
(And don’t worry, you can mention the bestie-ness of Miles and Maya if you want- I’m pretty sure everyone headcanons it)
Varuni didn't pay any mind to the others. she wrote some things down, and then began reading.
"Hm," Hildegard replied as she grabbed one of the herbs from her basket. She tore off a petal and ate it. "Demon Prosecutor, it does have a certain ring to it. To earn such a title, he must really be feared and respected in court. And he must be really well at his job as well," she sighed as she continued to eat the petals. She thought of the magical world's court system and grimaced. It was absolutely corrupt, with most defense and prosecuting attorneys caring less about true justice and more about getting their desired verdict. "If only we had competent prosecutors such as you and your brother." She paused and then added, "Competent defense attorneys wouldn't hurt to have either."
There was a sort of bang coming from the forest, and then it was quiet. She jumped slightly and turned around, her eyes narrowing as she watched the forest. Something was off, she could feel it. Something was in the forest. Though whether it was something with the intention to cause harm, she wasn't sure. There was another bang, and this time, Hildegard heard a muffled curse coming from the forest. It sounded…. human.
She turned to Franziska and looked at her blankly. "Please tell me you heard that as well." There was a sort of desperate edge to her voice as she said that. Perhaps she didn't want to be seen as insane in front of the prosecutor. Even though explaining that she comes from a place filled with magic was enough for an ordinary person to view her as insane. Or perhaps she wanted confirmation that she wasn't hearing voices and that indeed sounded like a human being.
Varuni had looked up at the sounds as well. she seemed startled, and she got up quickly, walking towards the forest.
Franziska watched the witch with slightly tired eyes, giving that somewhat amused exhale as she spoke highly of Miles. “Ah. I’d agree with you there, he’s honestly the smartest fool I know.” The prosecutor stayed silent when Hildegard talked about competence within the law. In ‘her world’ crime ran so rampant that they could only have three trials per defendant. And almost every legal worker had some kind of skeletons in their closet, and as much as she didn't want to admit it, included herself.
But before she had to comment, she also heard the noise. Franziska, divertingly enough, did the exact same thing as Hildegard, quickly turning around and glaring at the forest. The prosecutor slowly nodded at her question, focusing. When she heard the voice, she slowly stood up, glanced at the others, and started creeping towards it. She had a feeling that this being wasn't aggressive, and even if that wasn't the case, and it wanted to bite her arms off, she had her whip, which trailed behind her quietly.
(maya: i don't bite people !!!
phoenix: you definitely do
miles: yes, i can attest to this)
Hildegard watched as Franziska moved slowly toward the voice and groaned internally. Honestly, going toward the voice in the first place could possibly turn out horribly wrong for them, but at the same time, it could turn out alright. She stood up silently, and watched, not trusting herself to take a step further.
"Stupid earthquake, stupid forest," a female voice mumbled. She could hear it clearer, as the being moved towards them. It seemed that whoever was there was unaware there were other people around. The voice made a noise out of frustration and kicked something. There was a yelp and then the person tumbled into the little clearing before falling onto the ground. She glared at the tree root she had tripped over and mumbled the word stupid. She pulled her leg from the tree root and her eyes fell on the group a couple of feet away from her. She blinked. "Oh," she said, and then a realization hit her. "Oh. Oh. OH! Finally, finally, I found other people!"
Franziska, with as much confidence as, well, herself, slinked forward, tightening her hold on her whip. She paused once she heard that the voice was coming closer, visibly perking up, looking back at the witch with wide eyes, whipping back around (haha) as she heard the yelp.
Stepping back as the woman fell in front of her, she saw a familiar medium in a quite embarrassing situation. She looked down at her and coiled her whip, and instead of striking, Franziska offered it to the woman, so she could pull herself up. If Hildegard caught a glimpse of the prosecutor's expression, she would find that she looked… happy, despite no smile on her face, likely because she's only seen her with two previous expressions- smug, and grumpy.
"Ms. Maya Fey." She mused, looking down at the new arrival. "I never thought I'd be so happy to see your face again." Judging by, basically everything, she seemed to know this stranger, enough to (as mentioned earlier) gladly help her up. Already, their personalities seemed to clash, and yet, they had a faint similarity. Any gossip-loving person would definitely pry into their familiarity.
Varuni, after taking a quick look to make sure nobody else was in the forest, turned and smiled at the newcomer. "What were you doing in the forest, pray tell?" She asked. she didn't know the newcomer, but recognized her, as if she was related to an old acquaintance. who knows? Varuni has met millions of people.
(you still doing random people joining?)
(Yep)
