"Really?" Where in the world could she have gotten money? She's ten! He opened the door, confused.

Jelleh gave Lloyd the bag hoping he would like the present.

A bag? He opened it and pulled out the hoodie. "Oh! Er, thank you, y-you really didn't have to, it's okay! You guys would have found out at some point. Unless there's another reason?" He rarely received gifts, most likely because he never told anyone when his birthday was and didn't really have any friends. He did appreciate the gift, he was just unsure of the motive behind it.

Carter sat back down on his bed. Did he really want to do this? He sighed. It wasn’t a choice of want, it was something he had to do to keep Lloyd, Jellah, and Edlin safe. He stood up and walked over to Lloyd and Jellah. “Don’t look for me.” He said quickly before brushing past them and walking towards the front door.

"I'm gonna have to go back to Michael soon. She got a text, Meet me at the usual She turned around, "bye"she said. (Brb plz don't do anything without me)

(Okay. Lloyd's totally gonna follow her lmao)
Lloyd nodded and waited until he heard the door close before changing into the new hoodie and following Jelleh. Luckily, as an angel, he could walk almost silently. He was incredibly light, and could take very light footsteps. He made sure he was just out of her sight, walking along a few yards behind her.

(Wait but Michael is meeting Carter at their old point, how is he meeting Jellah?)

(Idk, she always meets Michael there I guess….?)

I arrived back at the apartment after a long day of searching for a job and filling out applications. I knew I might not get hired but I need some kind of income. I open my purse and pull out my key. Swiftly, I open the door and walk in. I shut the door behind me and walk to the living room. I see that both bedroom doors are open so I walk over to see if anyone is home. I duck my head into each room and see that no one is there. Hm. That's strange. I wonder where everyone went. I walk over and sit on the couch and start scrolling through my phone. "Well, second day and I'm already home alone." I say out loud with a sigh. "And now I'm talking to myself. Great." An hour goes by and still no one is home. "I have to do something." I exclaimed while standing up. "I'll make some food." I take a step and suddenly there's a huge pain in the back of my head and I collapse on the ground. In my mind I can see Carter. He's driving and he looks worried and almost afraid. Then my mind jumps to Jelleh who is walking fast almost like she is trying to hurry but doesn't want to look out of place by running. Finally, my mind zooms in on Lloyd's face and then to the hoodie he's wearing and boom! Everything goes black. I open my eyes and find myself staring at the wall. This kind of thing has happened to me before. I've seen people running and people crying but I always thought it was daymares. At least, that's what my mother always told me. But, there's a difference. This time I'm left with the feeling that I need to do something now and I've only ever gotten the pain in my head one other time. When my father died. He was murdered when I was 6 years old. I had a vision of a gun, then blood, then my father's body on the ground. The next day the police showed up at our door and told us the news. My only question is why does this happen to me? Why do I get these visions before, before bad things happen. I know what is happening now! I'll figure out what is going on with me later but I need to find Jelleh, Lloyd, and Carter now! I jump up and grab my purse. "I have enough money in here to get me anything important." I said to myself and ran out the door. I don't really know what to expect but maybe this is why my mother made me take fighting classes and self defense classes when I was younger. I jumped in my car and started it. I don't know where I'm going but I'm sure that I do somewhere in m mind. I just have to figure it out. I pull out of my parking spot and start zooming down the road. "I have to find them."

(I'm sorry it's so long. I figured it was time to add in some back story :D)

Lloyd couldn't help but feel that something was off. Where is she even going? Where did Carter go? Why would I decide to follow her? I could die out here! He glanced backwards. Are we being followed?

I think I see Lloyd I think to myself. "Speak to him!" Says a voice. "What? Who's there?!" I say frightened. "Just think about what you want to say and who you need to say it to and it will work. Trust me." Said the voice again. I almost recognized the voice this time. "You can do this my little spark." Says the voice. Little spark? I gasp, realizing who this voice belongs to. My mother! "Mom! Is that you." I say in a panic. "Yes, my little spark. I know that this doesn't make sense but we will figure it out together. I promise." She says with a smile to her voice. "Now do it." She says quickly. "Yes mother." I say. I think hard about Lloyd This is me, Edlin. Don't be frightened. What is going on? And where is everyone? We need to talk. I can pull over if you would like to get in. I repeat this in my head over and over. Finally, I feel a sense of release as if that was the feeling of the message leaving my mind. I clear my mind and wait for a response. "I hope this works." I say aloud.

Jelleh went up and looked around. She was there, but Michael wasn't. She felt the world around her change, I must be far away! She looked forward. Michael was there….

Lloyd was startled by the sudden voice in his head, coming to a halt. Is that… Edlin? Do you need something? What's wrong? She doesn't know I'm an angel, does she? Can you hear all my thoughts?

No, I can't hear all your thoughts, only the things you want me to hear. I have a bad feeling about Carter and Jelleh. Also, I had a–a vision. I'm pulling over, get in. I repeat it in my head and think about Lloyd until my mind releases. I pull over to the side of the road just in front of Lloyd and put it in park. "Hurry!" I say aloud to Lloyd while knowing full well that he can't hear me. There's something going on and I don't like it.

What in the world?! His eyes widened, and he was incredibly confused. How did you even know where I was? Lloyd got into the passenger seat and put on his seatbelt.

"I'll explain on the way but we need to catch Carter." I say as I pull back onto the road. I explain my day to him. I tell him about the job search and explain what happened when I got home. I explained the pain and the vision and the visions I've had in the past and I even tell him about my father and the vision that that caused. I told him about my mother telling me how to speak to him through my mind. I looked at him for a moment "I know that it's a lot to take in. I don't fully understand it either. I'm sure that I'll figure out why this is happening but all I know right now is that Carter is going to need us." I exclaim. We pull up to a stoplight and I get the sudden urge to check my phone. I pull it out of my purse and glance at it. It read I'll explain everything soon my little spark. I love you. It was from my mother. I smiled and looked up at the light. Green, perfect. I put my phone away and pushed on the gas. Crash! Suddenly our car was spinning and there was glass everywhere. I didn't know what was going on then suddenly everything turned to slow motion. And words appeared in my mind.
"A deed's been done

I spoke the words getting louder and louder until I was yelling. And suddenly we were back to the stop light. I watched the light and saw it turn green. I went to hit the gas but hesitated. Suddenly, a huge blue truck went zooming through the intersection. I look over at Lloyd. "What was–did I?–Did I do that?!" I asked in a panic. I push my foot down on the gas and go through the intersection in shock.

"Are you okay? You kinda… I-I dunno, zoned out? Then started yelling?" Lloyd looked concerned. "Well… um… you told me about your thing, so I should probably tell you about mine. It came up earlier, while you were gone. Um, it's… I'm… I'm not human, okay?"

"What the……" She said as Michael looked down at her with disapproval, "Your time is up."
