I started learning Egyptian Arabic, but I stopped. I should start again.
On one of those native languages Disney song things Aladdin was in Egyptian Arabic and it sounded wrong.
Considering that Aladdin isn't Egyptian, it makes sense
If we go by the original story he was Chinese iirc. But that’s bc China was used as A Land Far Away.
Few things are more entertaining to me than watching Dom catch up.
Glad to provide such a service.
i just started reading the jibaku shounen hanako-kun manga and i- i don't know why i didn't start reading this sooner hhhh-
Why is duolingo teaching me to say 'I am not an elementary school student'
Like,
Ah, yes, the 5'5 elementary school student with a deep-ass voice and constantly tired eyes who swears all the time, this is a classic mistake made in everyday life and I must be able to correct people

duolingo is weird ngl, i haven't used it in months because i felt like some phrases that were being taught might not be all that necessary

Also, Duolingo's like
You have a 2 day streak! 1 more day until a 3 day streak!
Like, I came here to learn Japanese, but thanks for the kindergarten math, I guess

yeah that's also why i stopped using it-
and when it tells you when you missed a few days and it tries to make you feel bad by saying that you made duolingo sad-
like, excuse me, trying to guilt trip me into learning more norwegian isn't gonna make me want to learn more norwegian
Nothing better than the feeling of finishing assignments that have been overdue for two weeks ☺️ About three days before the quadmester (two if you’re not counting today) ends
I fogot my clothes to change into for band so I had to race home. It takes me 12 minutes to get home, and I made it there in 8… Needless to say, Winter was going 75 in a 35…..

I love that feeling, but quadmester? Are you in America? I've only ever heard it called a term lol.

oh no no no no
Quadmester is what they use for schools in Canada (at least my province) during the pandemic
The way it used to work before COVID was semesters in which there was only two of them (four classes per each semester, accounting for eight classes total in a school year.) with quadmesters you have two classes per each -mester, meaning there are four quadmesters in total (hence “quad”mester)
We occasionally refer to it as a term but generally its semester or quadmester.
I suddenly got the random impulse to say "I'm going to eat you" out loud to nobody
If any of you have short horror ideas let me know. I can try to make it into a small aspect of my book.

Add some physocological cryptids in it. It'll spice up your horror book.

I meant drown drown, like water but possibly? No now I'ma think about it!
More people drown in the desert than die from dehydration, so…
It’s actually pretty common with things like flash floods and whatnot, because there isn’t any place you can go to escape from water in the desert. So yeah, it’s not unheard of to drown in a desert. From water. As drowning in sand..quicksand, maybe?
