(I'm gonna stay. If I do leave, I either felt useless to the entire rp, felt like I killed it, or I somehow recreated my personal life problems that I'm using role play as a distraction from. Cam is loosely based off of me from her personality, issues, and coping mechanisms. I have a much better relationship with my family, though. The demonic reputation is also shared between us… Hah… I can do a crazy while being influenced by negative emotions character well because I basically am one. Again, she's loosely based off of me, but with more dramatic things here and there for backstory purposes and reasons for her to be there.)
(Honestly, projecting is so valid, I do it all the time.)
(Anyways, do you want another Cam moment?)
(Go ahead, if you want to!)
(Okay!)
Cam completely refused to say her name or even go inside. She only sent a glare that was even worse than a death glare towards Mr. Enfield and growled, a bit louder this time so he'd actually hear her. She continued to stand outside, her arms crossed. She wouldn't go in there. She didn't need to be there, so she wouldn't go inside. She refused to be held against her will like this. She felt like this was unnecessary, as if she was being held captive. The thoughts only made her growl louder. She was on the verge of attacking, barely keeping herself from doing so, her reputation proving itself there, showing that she is not to be messed with.
Maisie stopped and glanced outside where Cam was still standing. She hadn't even moved one bit since the others had gone inside. She quickly walked back outside and stood near the door, looking at Cam. "Are you coming or are you going to stand there? Go ahead and stay there all night if you want, it's obviously not my problem, but it'd be better if you come inside. I know what you're thinking. You don't like him, neither do I, but look, at the moment we're all stuck here and we can't do much about it."
"I don't just dislike him…I want to murder him…" Cam growled underneath her breath, shaking a bit from all of the rage. She then broke her glare and turned to Maisie. "I was trying to find a way out of here. I'm sure that none of us belong here! There are so many things wrong with this place and who's running it just because of the motives that it has! I thought that I could find my escape and get as far away from here as possible, but that doesn't look like much of an option anymore… I don't want to give in, but where I'd end up if I ran away is worse, seeing that my disappearance would be noticed.. No point in continuing to stand in the rain, I guess." She sighed in defeat as she stepped inside, fighting her thoughts of rebelling.
Jax finally entered the building, looking around at the darkened house. "I don't wanna stay here," she mumbled. "'s creepy." The girl was shaking less now, but her hands still trembled as she adjusted her mask. "Wanna go home."
(Terribly sorry for not being here… I was in trouble for something oops. How should I hop in?)
Reuben yawned a bit as he came out of his room. He'd heard some people talking that he didn't recognize. "Mmm… hullo?" He called out sleepily, rubbing at his eyes and wandering slowly down the stairs to meet whoever was there.
Maisie turned around and looked at Reuben. Oh, you have got to be kidding me. An actual child in this hellhouse? She sighed and walked to Reuben, trying her best not to be rude to him. She didn't want to scare the boy away. "Hi there. What's your name?"
"I'm Reuben! But you can call me Ru instead if you'd like." Reuben smiled brightly and held his small hand out to shake Maisie's. "What's yours? And when did you get here? Who are all the other people? Are they nice?" He asked the questions in quick succession, not really giving Maisie any time to answer between them.
She looked at the hand and hesitantly shook it. She had to wait for the little boy to finish before having time to answer any of his questions. She looked around and noticed the creepy old man looking at them, and she got closer to the boy, as if not wanting the doctor to hear their conversation.
"I'm Maisie. We arrived a while ago. Maybe ten minutes ago. I don't really know who they are, they haven't really introduced themselves. As for your last question, from what I've seen they do look nice."
"Okay! We should go say hi!" Reuben kept a hold on Maisie's hand as he wandered over to the group. "Maybe they wanna be friends!" He brought himself into the group of people and looked around at them all curiously, wondering who he should try and talk to first.
“Ah, yes, Ru. Lovely to see you showing your little cherub face. Everyone, this is Ru, he will be staying with us for the time being, and we shall be very kind to him as he has had a very hard life.” Enfield said sweetly, voice dripping with honey and buzzing like a hive. Emile nodded swiftly, not wanting to disobey the man in the slightest.
"I have?" Reuben seemed confused at the comment about his hard life. He just figured he was here because his dad was very busy. The nice people had come and taken him away and told him that he wasn't supposed to be entirely taking care of himself, and then he'd been brought here. He shrugged a bit and tugged on the sleeves of his oversized hoodie.
Jax nodded as well, waving in Ru's direction. "H-hello, Ru. I'm Jax." The girl's voice cracked, and she let out a small gasp and was quiet. She, too, reached out her hand to shake the boy's, hoping that her own wasn't trembling too hard.
Reuben liked up upon hearing the girl's voice, his face brightening when he saw her. "Hi! It's nice to meet you!" He shook her hand eagerly, struggling to keep his sleeves from tumbling over his small hands. "Did you just get here with everybody else?" He asked. "I haven't seen the other people in a while… I'm sure they're fine, though!" He chirped innocently.
She looked down at Ru when he mentioned that there were other people in the house. But what worried her more was the fact that he had said that he hadn't seen the others in a while. Which made her think that something fishy was going on. "There are others? How many? And how long have they been here?" She asked Ru.
"Uhm… I dunno, actually…" Reuben considered for a few seconds. "They come and go. And I'm not very good at counting… there's been a good amount, though. But this house is pretty big and some of them are pretty shy, so maybe they just stay in their rooms a lot." He shrugged a bit.
Maisie quickly glanced at Dr. Enfield and frowned, then she looked back at the little boy with a smile. "Ah, I see. Do you think we might be able to meet them? And how long have you been here? You look like you're nine or eight, so I'm guessing you couldn't have been here for so long."
"I'm eight!" Reuben grinned up at Maisie, seeming quite pleased with himself. "And I've been here for um…" He counted on his fingers for a moment before remembering that he didn't know how to count. "A couple months, maybe? I'm not sure."
"Eight, huh? That's great." She said as she ruffled Reuben's hair. "Couple of months, then. Do you like it here? And is the staff friendly?" She asked. In all honestly, she was asking more questions than Reuben himself or her little brother. "I'm sorry for asking these many questions. I'm just curious, that's all."
"They seem pretty nice!" He chirped in reply, although his description of a nice person varied wildly from the average person. He sort of just thought everyone was nice regardless of how they treated him. "They give me food and stuff."
(I thought this died. I also kinda thought I killed it, but that's my mind.)
(the creator of the rp deleted their account ;-; and I'm not sure about the others. If y'all are willing to continue this, then that be cool.)
(I am willing to continue this. For the little bit that I wrote, I had fun. Sorry if my character's unlikeable, though.)
(I have a couple of characters who are similar to yours, personality-wise, so it's all fine.)
