Arwood froze and grabbed Austin’s arm stopping him in his tracks and holding up his hand for silence. He wanted to put out the light but knew it had already been seen. Sliding past the two men, he moved silently forward, he could see a small shape just outside the torches light. “Hello?” he called taking another step forward, eyes squinting as he tried to make out the shape and grip tightening around his sword hilt.
Austin had to use all his willpower to stop himself from going absolute apeshit. Once Arwood let go, Austin bent over, panting.
"Jeez Austin, you good?" Felix patted Austin's back twice and backed off, not really sure what to do.
"Yeah- Yeah I'm fine." Austin panted. "Was just holding my breath for a minute unexpectedly."
Austin straightened up and held up his hands when Felix tried arguing. "I'm fine, honest. Lets just get to the end of this tunnel."
Austin looked back to Arwood. "It's fine. Em would do the same thing." With that, he slid past the man and began walking at a brisk pace, impatient to reach the end.
When the group got to the end, the light from Austin's flashlight revealed a lever stuck between the boards of wood that made up the walls.
We made it to the end. There's a lever in the wall. If it's a way out we'll try and come back to get you guys. Austin shot the text to Mel as Felix yanked on the lever.
The wall in front of them slid to the side with a grind, leaving the group shielding their eyes from the light. Austin stepped out into the light, finding himself in…
A room full of weapons.
"Aw, for fucks sake, it isn't the wine cellar?" Felix moaned.
"We weren't even walking downhill idiot."
