“Mm, probably should.” Melissa hummed softly, mindlessly tracing circles into his chest. Looking up at him, she gave him a weak smile, kissing his cheek before resting her head back on his shoulder.
“Mm, probably should.” Melissa hummed softly, mindlessly tracing circles into his chest. Looking up at him, she gave him a weak smile, kissing his cheek before resting her head back on his shoulder.
"I'll… um… I'll go do that, then. I'll be back soon, I promise." Lucas gently returned the kiss and then got to his feet, seeming a bit unsteady. He made his way out of the bedroom and into the bathroom so he could shower. When he noticed all the marks and bites on himself, he paled and gasped sharply.
Melissa watched him walk off, she gave a worried look as she started to sit up. When he had got into the bathroom, she stood up fully, picking Cody up and starting to head downstairs to make breakfast for him. She hadn't heard him, otherwise, she would have checked on him.
Lucas came out of the bathroom about twenty minutes later, wearing a black turtleneck to cover his neck. He headed into the kitchen, running his fingers through his hair and still looking pretty pale.
Melissa heard him coming down the stairs, turning when he came into the kitchen. "Hey… you okay?" She asked softly, coming up to him after noticing the turtle neck. "I- I mean, obviously you're not, but still."
Lucas shrugged a bit, seeming uneasy. "There's… there's marks all over me." He replied quietly. "L-Like, bite marks and stuff. Some of them deep enough to break the skin… I guess that's why I'm so sore, huh?"
Nodding a little, Melissa held his face in her hands. "Yeah- probably… we should probably… probably take care of that, shouldn't we?" She stated softly, rubbing her thumb over his cheek.
Lucas closed his eyes and leaned into Melissa's touch, trembling a bit. "It… it makes me feel sick to look at them… I-I don't know if I want to know what else she did to me."
"Then you don't have to find out…" Melissa whispered in reply, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "You don't have to ask, and it can just remain a mystery. There's no benefit in knowing anyways, it would only make things worse in my opinion."
Lucas nodded a bit, hugging Melissa and hiding his face in her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Mel…" He whispered. "I-I'm so sorry this happened… hopefully they'll get her and arrest her and she won't bother us anymore…"
"Why are you apologizing to me?" Melissa asked, rather confused. Pulling back again, she tilted his chin so he was looking at her. "Why would you apologize for something like this? Especially considering it's not even affecting me like it is to you? You don't have to apologize for someone else's wrongdoings, Lu."
Lucas looked up at Melissa weakly. "I-I thought you might be upset with me… I… I should've been able to fight her off. I should've been able to outrun her, I just… s-she grabbed my arm…" He held up his left arm; the one he had badly injured a couple months before. "It… hurt a lot more than I expected. Then she forced whatever it was into my mouth, and I… I-I don't remember a whole lot after that…"
"Lucas… I would never be upset with you over something like that. I'd be concerned, or worried, but never upset." Melissa insisted, loosely wrapping her arms around his neck. "I love you and want you to be okay. You couldn't control the situation, so it's not your fault. Alright? Don't go blaming yourself for what she did to you."
Lucas buried his face in Melissa's shoulder again, holding tightly to her. "I-I just… I really don't want there to be any misunderstandings with anyone…" He sighed shakily. "Like… like if I have to go to court, I don't want anyone to think that I wanted her to… to do any of that… Normally guys are on the other end of situations like this, so they might not even believe me…"
"I'll go with you," Melissa whispered, resting her head on his. "If they don't believe you, I can speak against her. Your boss can speak against her, and my dad can too. It's four on one." She insisted as she held on to him tighter.
"Mm… t-thanks, Mel… I… I mean, she'll have to get arrested for something, right? She drugged me and she's been stalking me… physically harassed me. And I'm a minor, so… even if they don't believe me on the other stuff, the stalking, harassment, and drugs should be enough…"
"They should be. And if it's not, well then something is wrong with the justice system." Melissa whispered, kissing the top of his head before starting to pull back. "I don't want to push your problems away, but you should probably eat something. Dad told me you threw up last night, so you probably are running on an empty stomach. It might help your head too."
"Ah… okay…" Lucas's stomach growled a bit, almost as if on cue, and he sighed softly. "My head still hurts… the shower helped a little, though. This whole situation is just a mess, honestly…"
Melissa gave him a weak smile, taking his hand and leading him over to the table. "It is, and I'm sorry…" She whispered, sitting him down before going and grabbing him his breakfast. "You want tea? That might also help."
"Y-Yeah, sure…" Lucas sat down at the table when he was led over, sighing and running his fingers through his hair. "I love you…" He murmured.
Setting down his food, she gently kissed his cheek with a soft hum. "I love you too," She smiled softly before going and making him a cup of tea. "You want a specific type of tea."
"Not really… any kind is fine." Lucas sighed softly and quietly started to eat, anxiously tapping one foot on the ground.
"Alright, if you're sure." Melissa hummed as she started on it. When she had his tea made, she brought it over and set it down beside him before hugging him from behind. "You okay? Is there anything I can do?"
"I'm as okay as I can be, I guess…" Lucas closed his eyes and idly sipped at his tea. "Just… stressed."
Melissa nodded a bit, resting her head on his shoulder as he sipped his tea. "Can I help?" She asked softly, rubbing her thumb over his knee.
Lucas shrugged. "You're already helping. You… you made me tea and stuff. And you're talking to me." He yawned and drank more tea.
"Mm… well I mean, is there anything else I can do?" Melissa hummed softly, nuzzling against him some. "I'm happy to help you…"
"Mm… I dunno…" Lucas rested his head against Melissa's shoulder, sighing softly. "I just wanna chill… don't wanna go outside…"
“Alright, we don’t have to.” Melissa hummed softly, standing up and offering him a hand. “C’mon, why don’t we go to the living room? We can chill in there for a while.” She hummed softly, kissing his forehead.
"Mmkay…" Lucas took Melissa's hand and got to his feet, taking his tea with him to the living room. "Do we have to do anything today?"
