"Mm…?" Lucas looked up when he heard Melissa's voice. "Hiii… welcome back, love…" He murmured softly.
"Mm…?" Lucas looked up when he heard Melissa's voice. "Hiii… welcome back, love…" He murmured softly.
Melissa gave him a weak smile, kissing his forehead. “Hey, how are you feeling? Any better?” She asked softly, sitting on the floor besides him.
"A little better, I guess… still got a headache, but doesn't hurt as bad as before." Lucas yawned a bit and sighed.
"M'sorry honey… is there anything I can do to help?" She asked softly, holding his hand loosely. "More medicine?"
"Yeah, sure… we can give that a go…" Lucas shrugged a bit, holding a little tighter to Melissa's hand.
Melissa gave him a weak smile, waiting a couple seconds before getting up. “Do you have something to wash it down with?” She asked softly, disappearing into the kitchen.
"Not at the moment, no…" Lucas rested his head on the arm of the couch, pressing his neck against it in hopes that the pain would lessen from it.
“Alright… is water alright?” Melissa asked, grabbing medicine before grabbing a glass from the cabinet. “Or do you want something else?”
"Water's fine, yeah…" Lucas replied softly, closing his eyes as he tried to relax.
Melissa hummed, coming back into the living room with his medicine. “I’m sorry you’re not feeling good… I wish there was more I could do.”
"It's okay, Mel… it's not your fault." Lucas accepted the water and pills from Melissa and swallowed them with a soft sigh.
“I know, but still…” Melissa sighed softly, playing with his hair gently. “I want you to feel better.”
"Mm…" Lucas set the glass of water down on the coffee table and curled up on the couch again. "How was work?"
“Meh… tiring. Fine I guess.” Melissa shrugged, sitting at his feet. “But I mean, I didn’t get yelled at or anything. So I guess that makes it good.”
"Yeah, I guess so… I think I have to work tomorrow." Lucas sighed softly and reached out to take Melissa's hand.
Melissa glanced over to him, smiling weakly as she laced her fingers with his. “Mm… well, if that’s the case I should let you sleep, shouldn’t I?”
Lucas shrugged a bit. "I can stay up a couple more minutes… gotta wait for the meds anyway."
“Right…” Melissa nodded, rubbing her thumb over his knuckles. “How was your night? Besides the headache, of course.”
"Besides the headache, fine, I guess…" Lucas shrugged and gently kissed Melissa's cheek.
Melissa nodded some before resting her head on his shoulder. “Mm, good…”
Lucas nuzzled against Melissa tiredly. "I love you, Mel…" He murmured softly.
Melissa smiled softly, leaning into him. "Mmm, I love you too… you're wonderful." She hummed, curling up even more.
Lucas smiled weakly and rested his head against Melissa's. "I'm glad you think so, love…"
"Mm… yeah, of course." Melissa hummed, giving his hand a light squeeze. "You're a fantastic guy…"
Lucas gently kissed Melissa again, his cheeks lightly flushed. "Thank you, Melissa…"
Melissa smiled softly at him, nuzzling up against him some more. "Mhmm… you feeling any better?"
"A little, I guess… better now that you're here." Lucas smiled tiredly up at Melissa.
Smiling in return, she kissed his forehead. "I love you…" She whispered, burying her face in his shoulder. "I should probably head upstairs, so you can sleep."
"Okay… love you too, Mel. G'night." Lucas yawned and curled up tighter on the couch, humming softly.
Melissa gently petted his head before starting to make her way upstairs. “Love you, Lu… sleep tight.” She hummed, before heading to her room.
