Arthur sobbed again, still whimpering and crying.
Arthur sobbed again, still whimpering and crying.
Derlik was quick with the next side- in out, in out. He tied the thread off, pulling the leftover and the needle away when he finished.
"See, that wasn't so bad! Look, you can even close your mouth still. You got to have some reward for listening, hm?" Derlik cooed, thumb and forefinger taking the man by the chest and lifting him up.
"My happy little toy~"
Arthur sobbed, whimpering desperately for mercy, unable to talk with his lips sewn up.
Derlik ran his fingers over Arthur's cheeks once, still smiling himself.
"I'm going to make you regret everything you ever did to hurt Nik."
Arthur whimpered, wanting to protest that he had never been this cruel to Nik, he had never done something like this. Never left any visible scarring like this.
"And I'm going to hunt down everyone else who hurt him," Derlik continued. "And then I'll make them regret too, and you'll have new friends to keep you company."
He whimpered again, shaking his head desperately.
"Nik is mine, now," Derlik said slowly. "And I'm going to destroy everyone who's hurt him." Derlik glared down at Arthur, squeezing some.
"I'm going to break your mind like a twig, I'm going to make sure you can barely remember your own name, let alone how to hurt someone like you did Nik."
He sobbed, shaking his head a little.
"And no one can stop me." Derlik pulled Arthur right up to his face, his breath washing over the man. He squeezed again, tightening his grip on the man's chest.
Arthur cried out, whimpering and squirming.
Derlik held Arthur there like that for a moment, then let up.
"But, for now," the god said, "I'll just let you think over what I'm going to do to you. If you're creative enough, I might even go easy on you."
Arthur whimpered again, shaking his head faintly.
"Then again, if you think up something I like, I might use it, too." Derlik lifted Arthur to his jacket pocket, holding it open.
"You'll just have to hope, I suppose." Finally, Derlik dropped the man in, grinning wickedly as he put his toy away.
Arthur whined and trembled and whimpered as he was dropped into Derlik's pocket.
Derlik let go of his pocket when Arthur was in, patting it lightly. He stood, stretching before starting back to the boulder and Nik.
Nik was quiet, still curled up on the boulder.
"Hey, Nik," Derlik said softly, moving to sit down. "You were really shaken up earlier. How are you doing?"
He shrugged faintly. "I don't know."
"Well… can you try to guess?" Derlik looked down to Nik with concern.
Nik shrugged again.
"Alright, then…" Derlik looked away. Nik didn't offer much interaction, did he? The god had his back to Nik, poking his pocket. He knew Arthur would always be fun to fuck with.
Nik was still trying to calm down, come to terms with running into Arthur, and stop remembering everything Arthur had done, foremost among those being the scars on his stomach.
Derlik let out a breath. And Arthur dared to think he'd never left a mark on Nik. The god looked to Nik again, letting out a soft breath.
Nik was still curled around himself defensively.
Derlik let out a breath.
"Hey…" the god gently set his hand on Nik's shoulder. He really did just want to help.
Nik glanced up at him uncertainly.
"I'm going to make sure you never run into anyone who's hurt you like that again." Derlik offered the smallest of assuring smiles. "You're gonna be safe…"
He shrugged faintly, closing his eyes for a moment.
It wasn't helping. Derlik really couldn't get through to Nik, could he?
