(hey… Just checking to see if you want in the project pm after what went down in the threads…)
It felt like someone had just shoved a stake through Astral's heart. He didn't deserve Simon's trust…
Astral stayed quiet, still managing to smile just as sweetly for the human.
((okey but like….what if Simon did try to kill himself at some point like after the pregnancy))
(omg why do we torture ourselves like this, let's do it ;-;)
((Those dot dot dots make me nervous dude. I think I know what you’re talking about but I’m not sure))
Simon smiled up at him before burying his face in Astral’s shirt, he smelled essentially exactly what you’d expect the sun god to smell like. He giggled softly, just getting comfy.
((fook yeah :’) also sorry dude I responded like right at the same time as you lmao))
(nah, the whole sustained a bit of a bummer, and I'm figuring people will be turned off since the hype was crushed so early with the drama, I totally understand)
(and don't worry I figured lol)
Astral put his hand on top of Simon's head, smiling. He held the man close, face going back to his hair.
"I'm always gonna want to keep you safe, no matter what happens," the god murmured softly.
(( :/ that sucks dude. And thanks for asking but I’m not interested in helping out atm since I’m just really busy and I don’t think I’d actually be able to help much XD))
He nodded softly. “Thank you.” He mumbled, the sound muffled by his face still being pressed into Astral’s chest. Because of course he believed that Astral wouldn’t and hadn’t hurt him.
((What drama went on? I must’ve missed it :/))
((What drama went on? I must’ve missed it :/))
(I got overzealous in defending the whole project and ended up being a teensy bit, actually apparently a lot a bit, rude.)
(Yeah… and I totally understand that, I'm still doing the RP purge to get things off my plate ;-;)
Astral wouldn't hurt Simon, not ever again. He just… hoped, that one day Simon would forgive him. He knew it wasn't going to happen, though. Astral hugged Simon again, holding the man close protectively.
Simon closed his eyes, somehow already feeling exhausted despite having just woken up. He yawned quietly, shifting around on Astral’s chest.
"Tired still?" Astral asked, humming some. He stayed seated at the table, rubbing Simon's back with one hand. How long would it be until the human realized what was happening to him..?
“Mhm…” he said, sounding annoyed at the fact. “It’s probably all of those sleep deprived years catching up to me. I haven’t been anywhere safe in awhile..so it’s also just easier for me to sleep here.” He said, rambling a bit.
"I see… well, then, perhaps we should set aside times during the day for naps." Astral's tone was a bit teasing, but he offered a smile to Simon all the same.
"We just have to make sure you don't sleep too much, that can be as bad as sleeping too little."
He laughed a bit. “Maybe yeah. That sounds nice.” He looked up at Astral, still curled up into the other man’s chest.
Astral offered a small, sweet smile, finally wrapping his arms around Simon to hold him in place as Astral stood.
"I really am so glad you're finally safe here…"
Simon nodded, not breaking eye contact with him for once. “Me too….” and he did feel safe, and was glad for his friendship with Astral.
Astral rested his forehead on Simon's, smiling softly before he pulled away. He didn't want this to end, not any of it. Still, he knew the only way he could possibly keep this safe, and… he couldn't. He just couldn't… not to the child.
Simon…really had no idea what to call this. But what he did know was that he liked it. He liked that Astral wasn’t trying to pressure him into anything, and that Astral always checked to make sure that things were okay with him. The way Astral was with him right now reminded him of someone else. Someone he’d known a long time ago.
Astral kept Simon close, shifting him over to one arm to pick the donut box up to put away. Once everything was cleaned up, he looked to Simon.
"What would you like to do now..?" he asked gently, his hand going to rest lightly on Simon's.
He shrugged, being careful not to somehow fall out of Astral’s arms. “I don’t really care. Whatever you want to do, I’m fine with.” He smiled up at him.
"Mm…" Astral thought a moment as to what they should do that day. He made his way out of the kitchen, both arms going back around Simon to keep him secure.
Simon leaned into Astral, closing his eyes since he was feeling a tiny bit nauseous at the moment for some reason.
Astral patted Simon's back lightly, taking him out into the living room. He cupped Simon's cheek lightly, holding the man close as he sat down on the couch.
Simon opened his eyes to the now familiar room once he felt them stop. The trinkets in the room still freaked Simon out a little, but definitely not as much as when he’d first gotten there.
((mmm back at it again with angsty ideas is if Astral’s solution to Simon being severely depressed is to just take away a majority of his memories of like…everything.))
(Omg if that happened… You know the rp I have with Caustic Faust with these gods? That, that would happen, and the ramifications of Simon getting Shattered… A n g s t but also hurt/comfort in a really strange way while Astral helps Simon heal?)
Astral offered Simon a gentle smile, running his fingers through the human's hair.
"How are you feeling?" Astral asked, voice gentle. While the god was in the room, no one trinket dared to give Simon dirty looks.
((o o p? Idk depends, we have enough angst on our plates with how they’re going to raise le child with Simon refusing to talk to Astral))
He leaned into the touch, smiling softly, but it faded a bit at Astral’s question. He shrugged. “Tired. A little bit nauseous too but it’s probably nothing.”
(I figured, yeah, was don't need that much drama. I think this is an idea to skip/save for later)
Astral's eyebrows furrowed some when Simon mentioned being nauseous.
"Well, you could always have some medicine to help with that," the god suggested. Really, he was worried that this was exactly what he thought it was…
