“I doubt you will… I’m sure it’ll be just fine.” Melissa hummed softly, curling up in his arms. “Do you wanna just continue to lay here, or do you want to do something else?”
“I doubt you will… I’m sure it’ll be just fine.” Melissa hummed softly, curling up in his arms. “Do you wanna just continue to lay here, or do you want to do something else?”
"Laying here is fine… it won't be long until we leave, anyway." Lucas shrugged a bit and rested his head on Melissa's.
Melissa nodded a little, burying her face in his shoulder. “Mkay… love you darling.” She hummed softly, kissing on his shoulder.
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas returned the kiss and sighed. "It's almost time to go now, love."
"Mmm… well, we still have time to cuddle," Melissa mumbled, nuzzling against him with a slight hum. "I should probably go check on my dad, and make sure he knows."
"Mmkay… you could just text him if you wanted to." Lucas rested his head back on Melissa's.
“That’s true,” Melissa hummed softly, curling up closer to him. She held on tightly, glancing up at him. “I’ll probably do that later.”
"Mm…" Lucas nodded a bit, closing his eyes and falling quiet for a while. He was content to stay like this until they left.
Melissa quietly ran her fingers through his hair, kissing his forehead as she did. Eventually, she sent a text to her dad, still humming a bit.
Lucas kept his eyes closed and allowed Melissa do do whatever she wanted, only looking up when Mr. Brennahan came downstairs.
Melissa had let her thoughts wander as she laid there, not really noticing when her dad had come. "You ready to go, Lucas?" He asked softly, smiling softly as he pulled on his coat.
"Yeah, I'm ready…" Lucas replied in a soft voice, getting to his feet with Melissa. He started trembling a bit again once he was standing, but kept walking anyway.
Melissa glanced up at him, seeming a little startled before she got up. But after a couple of seconds, she realized what was going on, coming up and loosely wrapping Lucas in a hug. "Alright then, I'm going to start the car, you two might want to grab coats." He hummed a bit, pulling the keys from his pocket with a slight nod. "M'kay dad… we'll be out in just a minute."
"I'm fine, Melissa…" Lucas sighed softly, closing his eyes and stopping when Melissa held onto him. "I just want to get this over with. It's definitely not going to be fun today. I'm sure I'll be fine once it's over…"
"You still have to put your shoes on and grab a coat," Melissa pointed out, kissing his cheek before stepping back. "And I agree. I'm sure you're just jittery for the most part. There's not much I can do to help then, I'm assuming."
"Right… I'll get our coats…" Lucas headed over to the closet and pulled on his coat before bringing Melissa's over. "Here you go."
“Thanks honey…” Melissa hummed after slipping her shoes on. Pulling the coat on, she leaned over to kiss his cheek. “I love you,”
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas took Melissa's hand and headed out the door with her, keeping a tighter grip on her than usual.
Melissa have hummed softly, letting him hold on however tight he needed to. “You’re gonna be just fine, darling.” She hummed softly, holding onto his arm loosely.
Lucas nodded weakly, getting into the car with Melissa. "Right… we're ready to go now, sir." He said softly to Mr. Brennahan. "I'm sorry for the wait…"
"It's alright, Lucas." He hummed a bit, setting his phone aside as he looked up at them. "You two okay?" He asked as he pulled out of the driveway. Mellissa nodded a little, glancing over to Lucas.
Lucas nodded as well, keeping quiet as he held onto Melissa. He was anxiously tapping one foot on the floor of the car, and he still seemed uneasy.
Melissa gently rubbed the back of his hand, trying to help him relax. She gently dropped her head on his shoulder, glancing up at him as they drove. Nobody bothered to talk as they drove.
Lucas looked up when the car stopped and sighed, reluctantly getting up and out of the car.
Melissa quietly followed along beside him, fidgeting with her hands as they headed up to the building. She didn't say anything to him, just staying at his side to hold onto his hand.
Lucas kept quiet as well, not really having much to say. He led Melissa into the building and kept her close to himself as he headed up to the room he was supposed to be in.
Melissa hesitated before gently pulling him to a stop at the door. “I- um… I probably shouldn’t go in with you. But- I um, I’ll be right out here if you need me. Okay?”
"R-Right…" Lucas paused for a moment before reluctantly letting go of Melissa's hand so that he could head into the room.
Melissa stepped back, sitting herself in a seat right outside the door. She continued to fidget with her hands as she waited in silence.
(Should we go through the session or just skip it?)
