"No of course not," Melissa insisted, holding onto him tighter. "I love you, I don't get sick of you."
"No of course not," Melissa insisted, holding onto him tighter. "I love you, I don't get sick of you."
"Are you sure?" Lucas asked softly. "I mean, I know I can be a lot to handle sometimes…"
"I'm sure," Melissa hummed, kissing him once more. "I can take care of you. I promise that I'm capable of doing so. I'll be just fine."
"Okay…" Lucas returned the kiss and held tighter to Melissa. He knew he'd have to go to therapy soon, and that meant leaving Melissa here.
Melissa cuddled up against him, wrapping her legs around his. She gently nuzzled against his cheek with a slight hum. “I love you… I love you a lot.”
"I love you too, Mel… I'll probably have to go soon…" Lucas closed his eyes and relaxed a bit.
“I know… but I want to cuddle for a bit longer.” Melissa mumbled, looking up at him. “Is that okay? I- I can let you go, if you want to get up.”
"Y-Yeah, that's fine… I'm ready to go whenever, so we can stay until it's time for me to go, okay?"
Melissa nodded a little, sinking down into his arms. “M’kay… is everything okay?” She asked softly, reaching up to play with his hair.
Lucas nodded a bit. "Yeah… kinda nervous about therapy, but I'll be fine, I guess…"
Melissa bobbed her head up and down a little, kissing the tip of his nose. “M’kay… do you want me to come with you? I- I know I can’t be with you, but like, I can be there. Even though I gotta get ready for work tonight…”
"You can if you want, but I don't wanna force you… especially if you're gonna have to get ready for work." Lucas sighed softly.
“Do you want me there?” Melissa asked softly, glancing up at him. “I’ll be fine to get ready, and still come if you need me.”
"I-I mean, yeah, of course… I'd love to have you there…" Lucas sighed softly. "But I don't wanna be a problem or anything."
"It won't be a problem if you want me to come," Melissa hummed a little. "I just probably need to get up and get ready."
"Okay… if you're sure you're really willing to come, Mel…" Lucas fidgeted nervously with his hands.
Melissa nodded a little, gently pushing herself up. "I'm positive. If it'll make you feel better, I want to be there. I doubt my dad would mind," She insisted, pulling the hair tie out of her hair to run her fingers through it.
Lucas nodded a bit as well and looked up at Melissa, his cheeks lightly flushed. "Thanks, Mel… it really does mean a lot."
Melissa gave him a gentle smile as she nodded, kissing him once more before getting up off the couch. “Of course, love… you don’t mind sitting by yourself for a couple minutes, do you?”
"No, I don't mind… I-I'll be okay for a few minutes." Lucas watched Melissa leave and huddled up more on the couch.
Melissa nodded a bit before disappearing upstairs. Around fifteen minutes later, she came back down the stairs, dropping both her bag and shoes by the bottom of the stairs. "Mm… you alright?"
Lucas nodded quietly, glancing up at Melissa when she returned. His knees were drawn up to his chest and he still seemed a bit tired.
Coming up beside him, she gently sat on the couch next to him. "You sure..?" She asked softly, starting to run her fingers through his hair.
"Mhmm…" Lucas closed his eyes and leaned into Melissa's hand, sighing softly to himself. "I love you…"
“Love you too…” Melissa hummed softly, nuzzling against his cheek. “You’re wonderful darling… I love you a lot.”
"Glad you think so, Mel…" Lucas murmured, kissed Melissa's cheek and huddled closer to her.
Melissa gave him a gentle smile, sinking back down into the couch. Humming a bit, she pecked his cheek before burying her face in his shoulder. "What are you gonna do when I go to work?"
"Not sure… might try to do some more homework, I guess…" Lucas sighed, wrapping one arm around Melissa to keep her close.
Melissa nodded a bit, resting her head on his shoulder. “M’kay… I guess that’s the smart thing to do.” Melissa hummed, kissing him softly.
Lucas nodded as well and huddled closer to Melissa. "Yeah… hopefully I won't freak out this time."
