(ahaha yeah sorry, I figure we'll follow soon X'D)
Mie raised an eyebrow, leaning against the stone gatepost. "Blood magic, huh? I've never heard of that….but maybe it goes by a different name where I'm from. Personally, I know and handle Avity. It's….a certain kind of energy, I guess? We mostly use it for healing and stuff. My species adheres to it naturally, although I was never the most powerful member of my family." Rubbing the back of her neck, she turned to eye their surroundings once again. "Maybe later we can talk more about each other's magic, yeah? Once we've got our feet under us a bit?"
“Ah, right.” Thought she was slightly disappointed, Arabelle knew Mia was being the voice of reason here. Still, her words left a print of confusion in her brain. Avity?
Species? Energy? These weren’t the terms she’d associate with a conversation about magic, at least, if you wanted to be scientifically accurate.
Her train of thought changed direction. She’s come back to it later. First, where was he…?
She searched the trees again, seeing if she could spot the glint of red scales. Nothing. She sighed, getting nervous again. She hoped he was okay…
Turning back to Mia, she chuckled. “Too bad, now I have a thousand questions. But yeah, we can talk later.”
"Don't worry, I have plenty of questions too," Mia promised. "I'm sure we'll get a chance to talk shop about magic sooner or later. In the meantime….." She bent down and helped Ariel to her feet. "I reckon we won't learn much by standing around out here. I say we give these other fine people five more minutes to wake up, then go try to catch up with Azami. Fair enough?"
(I actually gotta go to bed now, sorry I was gone for so long there)
(It’s fine :)
Arabelle sighed. Guess they were going in. “Might as well.”
Shivering slightly, she opted to heat her clothes up. Her gazed dropped as she began concentrating on the molecules making up the fabric, willing them to move faster. Once she’d gotten it to a comfortable temperature, she looked up at the other woman, who seemed slightly dazed. “Sorry about that, what’s your name?”
(bump? It's not really my turn otherwise I'd continue)
(Yeah I’d do that to if I could…)
(Ahh god this looks so cool, I'd love to join but if it's closed then it be like that sometimes, huh? I'll stalk tho :D)

His heart thumping in his ears and his cold blood slowly slithering through his veins, Cass ran through the trees, away from the body of his lover. Covered in blood and pain unimaginable rushing over his body before falling on the ground hard and hitting his head. His vision blurry , yellow eyes glowing in the dark of night as a being hovered over him before everything turned pitch black
Jolting awake and in a cold sweat, Cassius's yellow eyes opened. His face colder than usual on the dirt and rubble below his big body.
Groaning, he sat up and ran his dark fingers through his blonde hair. He already knew something was wrong, for he never slept. And yet here he is wakingnup from what felt like a good 12-14 hours.. He hadnt in about 50 years and the last time that happened it was only for about 30 minutes.
What was that dream? No it wasnt a dream. More….a memory. A terrible one he had gone to forget over these 242 years of his long life.
Looking down at his attire, dirt had lightly coated his white button up shirt and black pants. A golden watch rest on his wrist, looking quite expensive. He took pride in his appearence just as much as he did in his kindness.
But that wasnt the matter now. He slowly looked around, his mind foggy and his vision blurred by a thin layer of tears that hadnt escaped his eyes yet.
Blinking them away, the voices of mutliple females could be heard before he saw a girl in front of him unconsious. (Its my other character, dw im not controlling anyone elses character)
Nudging her softly, she rolled over with a soft expression, still obviously half asleep.
Long wavy black hair fell over her face before sitting up and looking up to a beautiful darker man, his yellow eyes and blonde hair quite the contrast to his dark complexion.
"Are you Tavian?" She asked confused, assuming she had fellen asleep on her journey to deliver a collection of fine blades shes made for a prince on the other side of the country. Her bag still lay on her back, filled with her self made weapons.
"Uhm…no ma'am. Im Cassius Sandoval. Call me Cass. Are you alright?" He asked gesturing to the dry blood on her forhead.
"Oh…uhm…yeah i think so." She says, though sounding more like a question than anything.
"I…dont remember how i got here. Wait wheres Moose?" She asked turning around, looking for her overgrown horse, aka her best friend basically.
"I…. uhm dont know. Are you from here?" Cass asked her softly, a kind aura radiating from him like a light.
"No? What is this place? Where am i?" She asked
Cassius stood, and standing tall to say the least. He looked over to the huddle of girls, realizing he was the only male awake there.
"Do you know where we are?" He asked, clearing his throat, his voice deep yet soft and an accent that sounded something like british but not quite.
(Hon don’t worry about it your characters more than make up for it)
(Awe thanks ♡)

(I will respond tomorrow as well, good to hear from you Write! ^^)
(Yeah! You too lol. Again in so sorry about the long disappearance. I love all of your guys writing and characters so far!♡)
(Thanks XD)
Mia glanced around when she heard voices, her eyebrows raised. "Oh hey, looks like the last two are awake. Hi guys, I'm Mia. And sadly, no, I don't know where we are or what exactly's going on. None of us do. But it's fine, an adventure's always more fun with some buddies." She was vaguely aware that she wasn't being very clear or very comforting, but this wasn't really her strong suit. She spent too much time alone or hanging out with random strangers, and had lost the ability to hold a serious, sympathetic conversation with someone. Hopefully Arabelle would be able to keep these two from freaking out, she thought.
"So what are your names?" she added, sticking her hands in her pockets.
”His name is Cassius,” Arabelle gestured to the man. “The question now is what her name is.”
Said the person who forgot to introduce herself. She found herself staring at the man’s watch and his yellow eyes. Then she took note of the blood on the girl’s forehead. Together, they almost looked like opposites, as if he was the sun and she the moon, added with their height difference.
She went silent, a faint lethargy being the main reason.
Cassius cleared his throat "yes…very comforting" he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
The girl looked around, a panicked feeling overwhelming her as she looked to the different beings. Were they human? She couldnt tell quite yet. It wasnt every day something like this happened to her.
Looking to the two girls, she cleared her throat "Vienna Springs. You can call me Vi if youd like…." she says still confused.
Cass's golden gaze locked onto the gate and the words above.
"Demise" he mouthed quietly, thinking to himself what this could be.
Seeing as all of these people were ladies…this was going to be quite the awkward adventure.
Of course he wasnt one to take advantage of the opposite gender, or any gender for that matter. He was a gentleman to the tippy top.
But that somehow made him feel more awkward.
"Nice to meet you both," Mia replied, watching them get their bearings. "Vi and Cassius, huh? Cool names. Now, me'n Arabelle and the lovely Ariel over here were just talking about going through the gate to catch up with the last member of our little group. She went in ahead of us and I think we should make sure she's still okay. Also, as I was saying earlier, I don't really think we have another choice." She stepped aside and waved at the gate. "What do you say? Sound good to everyone?"
Arabelle nodded to Vienna. “Nice to meet you.”
Then she sighed at Mia’s last few words. “Might as well.”
Her thoughts returned to what might be beyond the open gate. Well, it said Ravenmire Gardens… so maybe it’s a magical garden?
Which is definitely likely, but she also entertained the thought of a magical beast as well. She wasn’t as much of an expert in telling the difference between different animals’ magic though. If she had to guess, she’d say either some kind of dragon, a really powerful unicorn, or even some sort of intelligent cephalopod with magic in its blood.
Then again, Mia had said it was a someone, not a something. So why didn’t it seem like a witch‘s magic?
She rubbed her temple. She would really like a cup of coffee right about now.
Ariel sat down, and considered the message on the gate. Should she enter? Was there danger? She didn’t know, and was too scared to find out.
“Hey, what do you all think of going through the gate? I mean… it seems like it could be unsafe.” she said, looking down.
Cass sighed "like you all said. Do we have a choice? And hey, surely it wont all be that bad. Read the first half of the gate. I dont know about you but id like my greatest desire." He shrugged, stepping towards it and running a cold finger along the smooth black iron, thankful it wasnt pure silver.
He was trying to keep everyone in a postive state of mind so they didnt freak out.
But….If this was true and their greatest desire would be granted. There had to be a secret lying within this blanket of silk. Something as good as this had to have a dark side. And he was going to find out what it was.
Vienna stiffened up at the words. Her greatest desire? It wasnt possible anyway. So she wasnt phased by it.
But being the idiot she was, she strarted towards the gate, going through them and walking the path to….well wherever the hell itd take her without a care in the world.
Arabelle’s flicked to the gate’s words again. She supposed Cassius’ words did hold some truth. When she thought of her greatest desire, her mind immediately went back to that secret project of hers. She’d tried to suppress that silent mission for a long time since, in a way, it already caused her great ruin. But curiosity rose in her stomach, bright and burning. Maybe she could at least get some sort of information, and hopefully, maybe, she just might find the answer without hurting anyone else.
She watched Vienna walk towards the gate, a tired acceptance coming over her. “Shall we?” She turned to Mia.
Mia chewed her lip. What the heck was her greatest desire? She'd always thought she was content with her unpredictable, solitary life. Did the owner of the garden know something she didn't? Or were they merely bluffing to make her drop her guard?
There was that one wish…..the one she still wasn't sure how to vocalize…Mia shook herself. Forget about it. No point putting herself in a bad mood or getting distracted.
Well, she wasn't going to find out the truth by standing around out here. And she figured she could handle whatever the garden threw at her, after all these years.
Casting Arabelle a grin, she shrugged and nodded. "Why not? Who knows, maybe this'll be fun."
(I kinda just wanna wait for Pyro…)
(Yeah, that's fair)
(Hey, guys! Sorry, I've been on a short break. I'll probably respond today or tomorrow. Are your characters all going through the gate? Because I can't do anything before then.)
(yep, looks like they're all heading inside. And no worries! Take all the time you need ^^)
