He giggled cutely.
"It's fine! I just thought you should know…"

"Crap," Nyx muttered, brushing desperately at the lace. Her face was now carnation pink, and it clashed with the deep purple-red of her dress. "Do you mind if I go change?"

"Go ahead."

"By the way, don't ask if you can change. Just do it."

"Oh - okay." She dashed for the stairs, but tripped on the hem of her skirt and toppled, face flushing red.
Nyx, you klutz.
"I'm fine," she said to nobody in particular, before scurrying up the stairs, gown bunched in her hands so she didn't trip again.

He waited and vibed

Nyx came down a few minutes later in her pink silk nightgown, wearing her bathrobe lest she spill chocolate ice cream on herself again. This time, she ate more daintily.

He nosebled.
"Y-you look lovely…" He slightly stuttered

"Thanks. Your nose is bleeding." She handed him a napkin.

"Oh, right." He said, plugging up his nose.
Snap out of it! Just because she's pretty.. and nice.. and kind… doesn't mean shit! You're an Overlord of Tartarus for crying out loud! a voice said.
But she's nice! another voice said.
"Anyways…" He said

"Anyways what?"

"Oh, nothing…" he scratched his face

"You wanna stick with nothing?"

"I was just thinking…"

"About what?"

He sighed.
"I… don't wanna make this uncomfortable…"

Nyx raised her eyebrows. "Uncomfortable?"

"I was thinking about you…" He sighed again

"And?"

"How nice and pretty and kind you are…" He blushed

Nyx's cheeks flushed slightly. "I'm what?"

"Nice, pretty and kind…" He said, waiting to be smacked

She went pink. "Really? …You think I'm… pretty?"

"Yeah…"

Nyx went pinker. Nobody had ever, ever called her pretty before. Seven had called her "nice", and the occasional "super", but… pretty? No. Pretty was a word for Phoenix.

"I mean, have you seen your freckles? And your eyes, oh my god your eyes…" He swooned

Nyx stiffened slightly. She was not used to being cooed over like this, and it was strange to her.
But it felt good, somehow.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I've… never been complimented like this before." The words tumbled out of her mouth.

"That's shocking…" He said, surprised
