I walked with Crash back to the safe house. I was still a little wet but mainly dry. I knocked on the door “Nathan are you there?” I stood back from the door.
I walked with Crash back to the safe house. I was still a little wet but mainly dry. I knocked on the door “Nathan are you there?” I stood back from the door.
Crash tasted the air suspiciously. "I keep thinking I smell more humans around, but they must be pretty sneaky. I haven't seen anyone in a while."
“Yeah stay behind me lets go check.” I moved through the darkness, commanding cover. I walked all th way round the house. “One one that I can see. You?”
"Nuthin. Must not be here." Since nobody was there to stop him, he raided the refrigerator again.
I rolled my eyes at him and took my position on the couch, swinging my legs over the side. “Where do you think they are.” I asked
"Dunno," he replied, chewing with his mouth full. "Maybe they're off hunting or something. I have no idea what humans do all day."
I rolled my eyes at him “Well what do demons do?”
He sat down next to you, toting an entire frozen deer. "We guard our territories from humans and other demons. I found a territory last spring and it's way out in the mountains near a river. I like it. the den leaks a little when it rains, but I'll fix that. What about you? I guess the forest is your territory?"
“Yeah. I didn’t know this was here though.” I looked around. “I guess they had their reasons.” I sighed. “The lake is where I do most of my training and relaxing”
"If it was my territory," he remarked. "I'd chase 'em off. But whatever. You seem lonely, maybe one of them could be your friend."
“I’m to dangerous.” Was all i said.
He shrugged. "I'll bet I'm more dangerous. Dangerous is good. It means you're strong. If you were a demoness, you'd probably have a lot of friends."
“Maybe” I said
He frowned. "I don't get it. Do you not like being dangerous?"
“ It has its benefits but also I’ve had stuff done to me and no one helped beacuse i was dangerous” I looked away
"Oh." He pauses, thinking it over. "That's not right." he glowered at some point in the distance. "If anybody tries to hurt you again, I'll deal with 'em. But don't worry–" now he turned and smiled at you, a rare moment in which his face cleared and he looked almost adorable. "just because that happened doesn't make you a bad person. I like you, anyway."
I smiled back at him. “You’re not to bad yourself” I made a dingo again and sent it running round him
He jumped down and chased it, barking playfully.
I giggled then made it disappear
"It's so weird how you can do that." He yawned and stretched. "So now what do we do? I still have no idea how I ended up here, or how to get back."
“Me neither. And I still wanna know where Nathan is. He said he would be here when i got back.” I was starting to get a little worried about him. Where has he gone?
"Hmmph. Maybe we should look for him out in the forest. The sun's coming up."
“Yeah, but what if we don’t find him?”
"I'm not sure." Crash opened the door, letting in early morning light. "you ready?"
“Yeah” i made my way out the door.
It's a lovely morning. Crash sneezed at the bright light, then set off around the lake, headed for the trees. "How's your sense of smell?"
“Normal for a human” I said. I followed him.
"Darn it. I was hoping you could help me track him…oh well. Shouldn't be too hard." He pushed through the first layer of undergrowth, hunting for a path. "Hey, just wondering, do you have any pets around here? I know humans have those sometimes."
“No I don’t.” I made an orb in one hand and sent it up into the air and it went wizzing around. “I can see what it see so I can help in some way” I said.
"Thanks. I'm just making sure because I might need a snack at some point and I don't wanna eat anything important."
