He nodded. “Sweet dreams.” He gently set her back down on the nightstand before leaning over and turning off the lights.

Mia fell quiet for the time being. Astral didn't come in either, this night. He wouldn't for a long time, either.

Astral hummed to himself, sitting in the living room. It had been a few days since he and Simon had first gone down to the human world, and he was still in a good mood from it. He was in a good mood in general, though, because of his secret. He stood, humming. He wanted to show his appreciation some more, and what better way then to help out a friend of Simon's?

Simon was currently taking a nap. He’d been starting to get tired more easily. Not significantly, at least not yet, but he’d get there.

Astral quietly came into the room. Soon, he'd need to start hiding the symptoms from Simon. For now, though, he wouldn't do anything. He made his way over to the nightstand, looking down at Mia. The girl swallowed, looking up. She was just a little bit afraid. Okay, maybe a lot.
Astral reached out, touching her head lightly. It took a bit, but soon she was reshaping, forming into something new. A little doll, jointed and everything. She looked… human again.

Simon rolled over in his sleep, not being bothered enough to actually wake up. He’d wake up easily if shaken though.

Astral smiled some at the confused girl, leaving her to figure things out on her own. She stared down at herself, and after a moment, she tested to see if she could move. Yes! She grinned, looking up at the sleeping Simon. She did her best to get onto the bed, going on shaky legs. It had been a long time since she'd been able to walk on her own…
Mia made her way over to Simon, shaking his arm a bit.
"Simon, Simon!"

Simon woke up, yawning groggily. “Hm what’s up?” He sat up, and when he saw Mia he smiled so widely it looked like his face might be stuck that way. “Oh my god!! Look at you!!” He exclaimed happily.

Mia was grinning too, an actual grin Simon could see. She had deeper colored skin, with black hair. She had a simple white dress on.
"Yeah!! Astral just came in and did this!!" Mia was so, so happy to finally be able to be like this again, being able to move and speak and show emotions.

“Oh I’m so happy! Oh my gosh! You’re so pretty!!” He literally couldn’t stop smiling. He wasn’t sure why Astral had done this but it made him happy.

Mia blushed, she could finally blush again!. sitting down on the bed. She was still a bit wobbly, after all.
"T-thanks!! I just- I never thought I'd be able to be like this again." Mia couldn't stop smiling either, so caught up in the feeling of being able to move, to do things again.

“Well I never thought I’d be able to see you like this.” He laughed a bit. He was happy for his friend, he’d always felt bad that she couldn’t do more.

Mia nodded a lot. She loved her new body, she loved being able to do all of this. She ran her fingers through her hair, smiling so much.
"This is– I just–" She grinned more, sitting right next to Simon.

He nodded. “I know. It’s nice.” He couldn’t help but worry if Astral would demand something in return because of it.

Mia was still grinning. She was too happy to think about that, still just enjoying the feeling of moving again. She looked up at Simon, still so happy.
"This is so amazing…"

He was still smiling, happily watching her move around. “It is so amazing..I’m so happy you can move!”

Mia nodded enthusiastically.
"Yeah!!" She grinned up at Simon. "I… I just don't know what to do with myself now, I haven't needed to think about it in so long…" She hadn't been control of herself in a long time.

He laughed a bit. “Well that’s understandable.” He felt bad that she’d been trapped for so long though.

Mia looked happy, though, not thinking about that for now. She looked up at Simon.
"Thank you," she said softly. "I– I don't know what happened, but, ever since you've come here, Astral has been so much nicer…"

“Yeah I don’t know why that is but you know what they say, never look a gift horse in the mouth or whatever.” He laughed softly.

"Yeah…" Mia giggled a bit. "Still, thanks for being my friend." She smiled sweetly up at Simon.

“Of course! You’re my best friend now.” He smiled at her. And it was true, she was his closest friend, ever.

((Also I’ve decided that Alec and Emile are basically Simon’s parents now lmao))
