"Dr. Henry Jekyll, at your service. I run this little organization, and Dorian here handles the funding. Speaking of, Dorian, do you plan on staying for the gallery tonight?" Henry asked.
"Ooh, someone's clingy. Don't want our widdle Dowian leaving so soon."
"I can and will strangle you. I'll do it, don't test me."
"Violence from Mr Goody-Good?"
"That's Doctor to you, Mr Hyde. How can you become so evil you lose your degrees?"
The gallery was bustling, and noisy, and crowded. Henry needed out.
"Why don't we take this to my office?" Jekyll asked, voice strained a little bit.
Victor nodded a little bit, carrying his bag by his side. "I see." at the question, he shrugged faintly. "I don't see why not. Lead the way?" he ran a hand through his hair, making it even more messy. He had brushed it this morning, but his wavy locks refused to cooperate even on the best of days.
"Fantastic, it's just up the way." he pointed, traversing the room and then the stairs into his office. "Now, Mr. Frankenstein, what brings you here in the first place?" he asked, laying out his work and Utterson's-or Dorian's, if could have belonged to either-briefcase on the table. "You seem tired, I implore you to sit! Now, then, where were we? Ah, yes, what brings you here?"
Victor cautiously sat down, studying Henry for a moment. "I…don't really have anywhere else to go." he replied slowly. "It's…complicated and personal, as to why, but I really don't have anywhere else." he was indeed tired, and he had a sneaking suspicion that he was catching ill again.
"Most of our boarders like their histories to remain confidential, you wouldn't be the first. However, we do like to do background checks around here. There are people who do not wish for our society to remain standing, and, well… a brief account of your history would be helpful. Otherwise, I'll have to do more digging than I'd really prefer." he explained.
Victor hesitated. "I…created something that I should not have, and it…hurt the people that I care about." He replied slowly, looking away. His hands tightened a little bit, and he chewed on his lip.
"I'm going to need a little more detail than that," he chuckled. "Hey, if you aren't ready to tell me, it's okay. Just tell me where you're from, any family or friends you'd have us contact, just so we know who you are. Everything will be fine, alright?" he said consolingly.
"Wooow, way to console the guy. I mean, look at him, he's practically shaking in his boots!" Edward let out his trademark mocking laugh.
He shook his head a little bit. "I'm from Geneva. I attended a school for science but failed to earn my doctorate. I…only have one brother left. I can give you his name and address if you need it, but he thinks I'm dead so I'm not contacting him again." He said simply.
"Frankenstein, Victoooor…. from…. Genevaaa…." Henry hummed as he wrote down everything Victor had given him. "No, I don't think we'll be needing to contact your brother. If you're dead to him, it's probably for a reason. I'll set you up with a room and a boarder's pass so everyone knows you're staying here. Is there anything you'd be needing? Clothes, books, lab supplies?"
Victor nodded a little bit. "Uhm… I've got clothes and such, I've got them in my bag, but maybe…I don't know. I'll read anything I can get my hands on. Access to a lab would be nice; I can make a list f things I want or need."
"That would be useful, yes. If you need anything… specialized, contact the main office and ask for Mx. Blake. They help with procuring supplies a bit less, well… accepted." Henry explained. Leviathan's teeth, brimstone powder, dragon's tongue to newt's eye, they knew where and how to get more specialized components for the sciences, especially alchemy.
(Victor can still have powers of electricity, right?)
Victor nodded a little bit. "I see. My thanks, Dr Jekyll." He said with a faint smile. He still looked tired, but there was a touch of light in his eyes.
Kain and Rowan were just exiting their rooms. Kain's arms were shoving books into a bag whereas Rowan had everything tucked neatly into her bag and a folded up piece of fabric holding her tools. The two made eye contact and began walking together, not speaking at all, which to those around them, was a pleasant break.

Victor nodded a little bit. "I see. My thanks, Dr Jekyll." He said with a faint smile. He still looked tired, but there was a touch of light in his eyes.
(ye)
"Absolutely. And yo can contact me or the main office if you have any problems, we'll be happy to help." he said cheerfully. "I'll send for someone to help you with your quarters, and I'll get back to you in a few days after I've done some checking over." he confirmed.
Irene glanced up from her book, seeing Kain and Rowan right in front of her. "Kain, Rowan, good morning! How are you today?" She asked, smiling slightly as she closed her book, thumb holding her place.
Kain smiled wide and waved, Rowan just nodding her head as a greeting. "We're doing well, thank you! We're about to head down to the gallery showing. I'm doing a breakdown of a recent case and Rowan is doing a short lesson on one of her experiments." Kain exclaimed, pointing to the covered tools in Rowan's hands.
Irene nodded. "Lovely. I managed to get one of my own experiments in as well, though I'm afraid I won't be able to make the showing today."
Kain looked empathetic. "I think Henry is worried about this showing, something about funding, I think." He clicked his tongue. "Lots of signs of nerves, didn't even have time to debate." Rowan slipped her tools into her bag and nodded. "Heart palpitations when the showing was mentioned or around that time."
Irene smiled softly. "Yes, I can see why… I just hope it goes well." She shook her head slightly. "Well, I should be getting to the lab. I'll try to drop in if I can."

(:D yay!)
Victor nodded again. "Alright. Thank you." he said, running a hand through his hair and studying the other man for a long moment.
"You can leave if you wish, go to the main entrance hall and find one of the maids, tell them Henry sent you for a room. And Victor? Feel free to enjoy the gallery showing, which will be at two o' clock to ten." Henry smiled.
Victor nodded a little, picking up his bag. "I think I'll drop off my bag, then come back here." he replied, standing.
"Is there anything in particular you'll be needing here? I do, unfortunately, need to get going with my business as soon as possible. I don't usually do impromptu meetings." he said, with the greatest apology in his voice.
"Oh! Ah…not that I can think of right now, no." he replied. "I'm very sorry for just dropping in on you like this." he gave a tight smile.
"No, don't be sorry! Everything is perfectly in order, the gallery showing is just… a lot. And with the recent influx of boarders, things have been a little crazy around here." he chuckled, trying to keep calm and not just jump out the window and into the street to die.
(hWHAT–)
Victor nodded a little. "Still. I should have…at least tried to send word ahead or something. It would have been polite."
(Henry is me on a daily basis, what can I say?)
"It would have been, but you've also been very polite in coming here, regardless of circumstance." he said. That window was either looking incredibly attractive or he was just going insane with stress.
((Henry is a whole mood))
(That's either good or bad. Idk I just pretend to be polite to hide the pain.)
Irene smiled softly. "Yes, I can see why… I just hope it goes well." She shook her head slightly. "Well, I should be getting to the lab. I'll try to drop in if I can."
Rowan gave another nod of acknowledgement and closed her bag. "I wish you well." She nodded another time, this one as a goodbye before Kain waved enthusiastically and they started walking again. Kain rester his head on his sister's shoulder, humming thoughtfully.
"Do you think Henry would like if I offered to help him? Since he is stressed."
"I don't know, you're the people person, I'm the science one."
"You still know how people work!"
"I know how their insides work, not their thoughts."
