Finally, Korb stood up straight, momentarily to his full height of 7ft, but only to stretch. He soon relaxed, backing up to the wall again and lifting his scarf back up. Taking a seat, just as Gatzi returned back in the room, glass of water in hand.
“Hm, I assume the fighting’s done in here for now, then?” She asked, glancing around.
Oleander burst out laughing upon hearing Vozrael's full name.
"Damn it, my dear Rafters, you nearly made me choke on my wine!" he exclaimed. "Dear me, what were your poor parents thinking?"
I don't have parents asshole!"
She rolled her eyes at his exclamation (voz's) before glancing at Ole as he burst out into laughter, she did giggle a little but like, kinda fake. Lol nvm she did laugh at his outburst in response.
What's your name? Let's see… Oleander? Rather stupid…"
"your joking right?" She raised a brow in voz direction. "Who the heck chooses the name vozreal? Oleander is so much better then Vozreal." She rolled her eyes as if it was obvious.
A woman appeared into a bedroom, empty but filled with filtered voices from nearby. After a quick look around, her nose flared angrily and she stormed through the house to where she heard people.
"Why the hell am I here?"
She was gorgeous, even beyond her scars. Top model looks, with the 5'8 height to match. Memorizing dark gold eyes with little flecks of yellow that looked like sparkles; naturally thick and long lashes framing them. Her muscular body with a perfect mixture of curves and slimness that just enhanced her beauty. High and prominent cheekbones—except the one, which was caved in from an old wound—full and soft looking lips, sharp and defined jawline—even the faint scars that marred her seemingly flawless, naturally light tan skin highlighted her looks. Long and luscious golden red hair spilled around her shoulders to the middle of her back. She was the picture of beauty, and she definitely used to her advantage when she wanted to. She's seduced men and women alike with a simple touch and calculated look.
And not to mention her clothes. She wore a pair of high waisted black shorts that hugged her hips, as well as a black stylishly baggy off-the-shoulder long-sleeved crop top and knee-high black heeled boots. Flawless winged eyeliner lined her eyes, and that, paired with a simple nude lip gloss, remained her only makeup.
But despite her looks, she was very clearly pissed about being somewhere she didn't want to be.
He flipped both of them off, not wanting to deal with him today.
She flipped him off back.
"Firstly, I do not give one singular damn about whether or not you have parents," Oleander began. "Frankly, being some hellspawn explains your utter lack of–oh, how to put this delicately–personality. And secondly, my name–if you must know–is a family trait. The entirety of my family is named for toxic plants, which ought to tell you all you need to know about me. Now tell me, what meaning does your asinine name hold?"
Oleander took a smug sip of wine.
Oleander's eyes traveled up and down the new woman slowly, and he gave a low, appreciative whistle.
Real talk, I literally made the name up, and so it doesn't really have a meaning, but I will try to figure out 1 out. Also can we pause this? I have to go to sleep))
(The world does not revolve around your sleep schedule.)
Great job you know basic science
((parentheses are a thing my dude. they make the flow easier if you use them))
(I know basic writing skills as well! They're quite easy, actually :))
Oleander approached the new woman, a sly smile on his face. Her grace and poise reminded him of his first wife.
"Hello, dearest," he breathed, kissing her hand with a wink. "I did not expect to be graced by someone of your beauty today, but it is a pleasant surprise."
The woman glanced over to the male that blatantly checked her out and gave him a wicked smirk, returning the favor, then turned her smoldering gaze to the girl that answered her. She also gave her the same treatment, letting her eyes dart up and down her figure before settling on her face. "Fair enough, I guess. Still doesn't answer the why, but whatever. Doesn't matter." She waved her free hand dismissively, then twisted it into a twirl and dipped her head in a mocking bow, lips morphing into a smirk at the kiss to her hand. "The name's Theresa Hunt, since I'm stuck here with you lot. And y'all seem to be talking about names."
"My dear Lady Hunt, you seem to be here because pure fortune–be it Rin or some other deity or force–has deemed us lucky enough to meet. And this is quite clearly luck, as a bad fortune could not have such a lovely face," Oleander said, as if he was not an example of an attractive misfortune.
((the dialect difference between them is top notch. we have german-italian tess over here that's grown up all over the us, and then eloquent oleander))
Lady Hunt. That's new. Her eyes sparkled at that, and her grin grew. "Unfortunately, handsome," she purred, angling her head just so, "I am a being of misfortune through and through. This lovely face has quite the track record for leading poor men such as yourself into a fate they least expect." Her fingers found his chest, and she pushed him away just a fraction while keeping her near-predator's grin. "A weapon of war can be most beautiful outside the fire."
Oleander's eyebrows rose. Oh, he liked this one.
"I would not much mind being lured into a watery grave if the siren's face was half as lovely as yours," he said. "And I agree, as the sword is much more useful outside of the sheath. Although I suppose it does depend on the beauty of the sheath's owner."
Spectra was just kinda there, watching them interact mostly Tess. She didn't say anything because her confidence deflated like a balloon. She was just a kid in oversized clothes compared this goddess.
Her words were like a stream, flowing genly with bite hidden beneath the surface.
Gosh even her name was beautiful.
She didn't speak as too not make a fool of herself but see felt as though she already was.
She continued to mess her lighter while watching them.
After her words weren’t answered, Gatzi decided to let it pass. She wasn’t too bothered by it. It seemed that the people had more important things to attend to, such as the rather jarring - at least, it was to Gatzi - interaction that was unfolding in front of her. Though that probably wasn’t the worst thing that she’d witnessed at this house so far, it was enough for her to look away, slipping around and standing next to Korb; the latter of which was sitting on the floor.
Myra found a small niche and hid in it. Her hand slid into her pocket and she was surprised to find she still had scissors. Maybe they'd be helpful? Oh who was she kidding, she was going to die here and no one would even know.
Mashka hurried after Myra. "Good Mairel, what's going on?" Seeing the scissors in Myra's hand, she fell back. "Oh, good stars, don't hurt me…"
Peregrine had been doing her best to ignore Oleander's arrival, but his obnoxiousness had been wearing her down. She let go of Allison and stood up, sheathing her sword and glaring at the man. "Can't there be one normal person in this house?"
Peppermint had grown bored of her book, and pushed it to the floor, stepping around it as she left the library and wandered back into the living room. Her lollipop was still in her mouth as she looked up at the room's occupants.
