Melissa shrugged, nuzzling against him. “I don’t care. We probably have to get the last bit of school done, though. School starts up in the next couple days.”
Melissa shrugged, nuzzling against him. “I don’t care. We probably have to get the last bit of school done, though. School starts up in the next couple days.”
"Yeah…" Lucas sighed softly. "I've definitely still got a fair bit to do. I think I can handle it, though."
"I'm sure you can, love… you're pretty smart." Melissa hummed gently, still running her fingers through his hair. "I really love you…"
"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas murmured in reply, gently kissing Melissa again.
"You're wonderfully amazing… I'm so lucky to have you." Melissa hummed, nuzzling against him some more. "I'm glad you're so affectionate. I honestly would be sad if you didn't like it."
Lucas smiled gently down at Melissa. "Well, I'm a bit touch starved. I'm just glad you don't find me too needy."
“Of course, I definitely need it too. Not as much you do, but I still need it.” Melissa mumbled, kissing his lips softly a couple times.
Lucas nodded and returned the kisses, holding Melissa close to himself. "Should we get started on our work?"
Melissa looked up at him, shaking her head before burying it in his shoulder. “I’m sleepy. I don’t want to.”
Lucas sighed softly. "I know, but we gotta get it done before school starts back up again…"
Melissa huffed, curling up even more. “But school work is frustrating.” She mumbled, as she looked up at him.
"I know… speaking of, I should probably take my meds before I get started." Lucas rummaged around for his pills and took them when he found them.
Melissa nodded a little, reaching up to play with his hair. “Yeah… I love you…”
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas leaned into Melissa's hand for a moment before settling himself down at the table to work.
Melissa sighed softly as she got up from the table, clearing their dishes before wiping down the table. “Can I get you anything?”
"Nah, I should be good for now… do you think I'll finish today?" He asked as he scribbled down an answer.
“If I don’t bother you, I’m sure you could.” Melissa hummed softly, kissing him on the cheek. “I’ll probably go upstairs and clean my room, if you want to really focus on your work.”
"You can stay if you want, Mel… you won't bother me." Lucas shrugged a bit.
“I will though. I won’t do it intentionally, but I’ll get antsy and want to talk to you.” Melissa mumbled, playing with his hair some.
"Mel… you don't have to go upstairs for my sake. I'll be fine." Lucas smiled weakly up at Melissa.
"But I don't want to distract you. I'll be fine to be alone for a bit." Melissa insisted softly, pulling her back out of her face.
"I'm not saying you won't be, I just… I can work with distractions anyway. Not that you would be, of course, but since you're so worried about it…"
Melissa’s shoulders dropped some, a little smile pulling up on her face. Letting out a soft sigh, she sat besides him at the table. “Right… I’m being difficult again, I’m sorry I’m being argumentative.” Melissa mumbled, resting her head on his shoulder and nuzzling against him.
"Melissa, please don't apologize…" Lucas sighed softly. "You're fine, okay? I'm not upset or worried or anything."
Melissa looked up at him, fidgeting with her fingers as she mumbled a second apology under her breath. She glanced up at him, pulling back from cuddling against him.
Lucas held onto Melissa's hand with his free one, continuing on quietly with his homework.
Melissa kept a loose hold on his hand, gently rubbing the back of his hand with her thumb. She kept quiet best she could so she wouldn’t distract him.
Lucas worked pretty efficiently, even with only one hand. After working for a couple of hours, he set his pencil down and sighed softly.
Melissa had curled up in her chair at some point in the middle of his working, keeping a tight hold on his hand. When he seemed to be taking a break, she leaned over and kissed his cheek. “You alright?”
"Yeah, just tired…" Lucas sighed again as he looked over at Melissa. "I've still got a lot to do…"
