“He’s gonna be just fine. Don’t worry, he’s a tough pup.” Melissa hummed as she reached out to pet Cody.

"Yeah…" Lucas pet Cody gently and sighed, seeming both worried and content. "He's a good boy."

Melissa nodded, slowly starting to pull away from Lucas. “I’m getting kinda cold. Could we start walking, just for a couple minutes?” She asked softly, playing with his hair some.

"Sure, Mel. Where do you wanna go?" Lucas asked curiously. "I'm happy to go anywhere, so…"

“I just meant start walking. We can walk through the park, or the woods. My legs are just getting stiff.” Melissa shrugged as she got up.

(I'm looking forward to when we eventually force Lucas to visit his father in prison lol)
"Sounds good to me." Lucas got to his feet and picked up Cody's leash so he could keep walking with Melissa.

(The poor child-)
Melissa smiled weakly, gently starting to pull him along. She kept her eyes on him as they kept walking, gently squeezing his hand. “Thank you…”

"Of course, Melissa. I'm happy to go on a walk with you." Lucas kissed Melissa with a soft smile.
(Tempted to make him like, go o f f on his dad)

Melissa smiled softly, leaning over to nuzzle against him. "Mmm, my hands are really cold…" She mumbled, pulling her sleeves down over her fingers.
(Oh definitely- it would make things interesting.)

(Melissa just hears Lucas yelling from the other room lol)
"Mine too." Lucas laughed softly and held Melissa's hand a little tighter in hopes of warming her up.
(Lucas doesn't get angry much, but when he does-)

(Pfft, yeah. And really, angry Lucas is my favorite one-)
Melissa giggled, pecking his cheek and resting her head on his shoulder. "Mm… love you, darling. You're the best." She hummed softly.

(We must give him the anger asfgjhjk)
"I love you too, Mel. And you're the best." Lucas gently kissed Melissa's forehead and held her close.
(It's always funny when he's angry since he's so soft the rest of the time)

“Mm no you~” Melissa hummed, grinning as she leaned up against him. “You’re the most wonderful.”
(Lol yeah. Whenever he’s passionate.)

"Am not!" Lucas laughed softly, grinning as well. "I can't be the most because you are."

Melissa glanced up at him, rolling her eyes with a little smile. “Mm… how about this, you’re the best boyfriend. I can’t be the best boyfriend.” She insisted, stopping in her tracks and looking up at him fondly.

"Noooo…" Lucas whined in protest. "But then you have to be the best girlfriend." He huffed a bit and pulled Melissa closer to himself. "It's only fair."

“Mmm… fine.” Melissa mumbled burying her face in his chest. She hummed as she snuggled up against him. “But you’re better.”

"Nooooooo…" Lucas stuck his tongue out a bit and toyed with Melissa's hair. "Am not."

Melissa looked up at him with a big grin, kissing his lips. “You areeee~” She cooed as she nuzzled him.

Lucas whined louder and flushed, burying his face in Melissa's shoulder. "You're so mean to me, Mel~…"

“Mmm, maybe just a little bit.” Melissa hummed, standing on her tip toes and wrapping her arms around him. “But I do it in love.”

"I know, I know…" Lucas sighed and smiled fondly down at Melissa. "You're lucky I love you so much."

“Mmm… I am very lucky.” Melissa hummed softly, nuzzling against his nose with a gentle smile. “I appreciate how much you love me.”

"Mm~…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly and held her up against himself, seeming content for the moment. "I'm the lucky one."

Melissa kept a loose hold on him, resting her head on his chest. “But you just said I was the lucky one… you can’t take that back.”

"We're both lucky, how about that?" Lucas offered, gently running his fingers through Melissa's hair.

“Mm, that’s fair.” Melissa hummed softly, nuzzling against him a little. She started to relax in his arms, a sleepy look on her face.

Lucas kissed Melissa's forehead and hummed happily. "Do you wanna head back soon?" He asked gently.

Melissa yawned, and nodded a little. She gently reached up and started playing with his hair. “Yeah I guess so… we probably need to so you can do school work, huh?”

"Mhmm… and you've got to get ready for work pretty soon. We'll both be pretty busy." Lucas smiled weakly.
