Samul held Larkin right up to his chest, scowling some.
"He's the only monster…"
Samul held Larkin right up to his chest, scowling some.
"He's the only monster…"
Larkin nodded a bit as he buried his face in Samul's chest. "And… and he poured hot wax on me…"
Samul froze a moment. That would explain the burns.
"I… The sick bastard…"
Larkin sniffled a bit and nodded again. "Y-Yeah… it hurt really bad… I've got some burns on my thighs too."
"I'm- I'm so sorry, sweetie…" Samul held Larkin close, rubbing his back.
"How can we deal with burns…?" He asked weakly. "They hurt… I want them to go away…"
"I-I… I gotta look something up…" Samul closed his eyes a moment. He didn't know what to do…
"Okay…" Larkin sighed weakly. "And… and it kinda hurts to walk… he wasn't very gentle with me…"
Samul nodded just a bit.
"I… I'm so sorry, Larkin… I– why don't you try sleeping for now..?" He knew this wouldn't go away overnight, not any of it, but the rest might help some with the pain.
"Mm…" Larkin closed his eyes and huddled closer. "Can I have some pain meds at least…?" He asked weakly.
"Of course, of course sweetie." Samul felt stupid for not offering them. He kised Larkin's cheek gently, standing with the man in his arms still as he headed to get the pills.
"Hopefully he doesn't know where we live so he can't come back again, right? I-I don't wanna do that again…"
"Right! He doesn't, so- so you should be safe." Samul lightly kissed Larkin's head, offering him a glass and two pills.
Larkin nodded a bit and swallowed his pills. "Mm… might have to wait for these to kick in before I can sleep…"
"Okay, then…" Samul carried Larkin to the bedroom, sitting down with him.
"I love you… you'll never pour wax on me, right?" He asked weakly. "I really didn't like that…"
"Never, not ever. I'm not gonna do anything you don't like, and I'm always gonna ask permission." Samul gently kissed Larkin's head.
"And you'll never have to do something when you don't want to."
Larkin nodded a bit and weakly returned the kisses. "T-Thank you… I… I trust you, Samul. You always take such good care of me… I'm not worried about you doing anything bad."
Samul nodded some.
"I love you," he said softly in turn. "I love you so, so much, Larkin…" he held the man close, gently rubbing circles in his back. He knew it would take a long, long time to heal from this.
"I love you too…" Larkin sniffled and huddled closer to Samul, clinging tightly to him for comfort. "What time is it…?"
Samul looked around a moment.
"It's almost ten," he said softly. It had already been evening when they went out, and the man had taken his dear sweet time.
Larkin nodded a bit. "Uhm… I-I dunno if I'll be up for going to my classes tomorrow…" He whispered weakly.
"Don't," Samul said softly. "I'm not going to either. I'm not gonna leave you alone right now." He lightly kissed Larkin's head.
"T-Thanks, love…" Larkin sighed shakily and tucked his head under Samul's chin. "I-I just… I know I won't be able to focus or anything…"
"Mm…. It's okay, I know…" Samul carefully laid them both down, still rubbing Larkin's back.
"Why don't we go to sleep..?" He kept Larkin tucked under chin, keeping him.
Larkin nodded a bit and soon drifted off to sleep in Samul's arms, relaxing for the first time the entire evening.
Samul fell asleep soon after, holding the man close. He hated this, he hated how easily that man hurt Larkin…
Larkin was still asleep in the morning, although he'd been very unsettled during the night. It seemed like he'd been having nightmares about the man.
Samul was awake, making sure none of their alarms would go off. He kept a close eye on his boyfriend, frowning a bit.
"Larkin," he said softly, shaking Larkin just a touch.
Larkin whined softly and stirred, looking up at Samul weakly. "Mmm… d'you need something…?" He asked weakly.
