"Yeah." Nix laughed softly. "Cas can occasionally cook stuff with a recipe, but he generally doesn't."

"Oh, really?" The two were getting closer to the house, Derlik humming some as they did.

"Mhmm. Usually he would just make Ramen or sandwiches, though. He couldn't afford the ingredients for anything."

"Mm…" Derlik hummed as he thought, stepping up to the house door and opening it.

Nix looked up when Derlik opened the door, humming curiously. "Back already?"

"We were walking for a while," Derlik pointed out, chuckling.

"Oh… it didn't feel like very long." Nix hummed softly and rested his head back on Derlik's shoulder.

"Really? We can always go back out if you'd like to." Derlik hummed, pausing in the doorway.

Nix shrugged a bit. "I don't really care either way. It's up to you."

"I think it might be best to head in. I don't want you getting too cold." Derlik lightly kissed Nix's forehead, fully stepping in and closing the door behind them. He kept his jacket wrapped around the cat, just to make sure he was warm.

"Mmkay." Nix buried his face back in Derlik's shoulder and sighed softly, curling up a bit. "Mmm…"

Derlik carried Nix back to their spot on the couch, wrapping the jacket more around him with a soft smile.
"Tired?"

"A little, I guess, but I don't have to sleep…" Nix shrugged a bit and huddled up against Derlik's chest.

"Okay, sweetie." Derlik lightly kissed Nix's cheek, his arms wrapping around his waist. The god smiled some, moving to lay down so they could snuggle better.

Nix tucked his head under Derlik's chin, wanting to get closer to him as he purred contentedly. "Mmmm~…"

Derlik smiled softly, holding Nix close as he rubbed the cat's back.
"Warm enough?"

"Mhmm…" Nix nuzzled against Derlik affectionately, yawning and stretching out a bit. "Comfy…"

"I'm glad…" Derlik kissed the top of Nix's head, holding him close.
"I'm gonna keep you safe," he murmured quietly.

"Thanks, Derlik…" He murmured softly. "I just hope it won't go too bad…"

"We'll make sure it doesn't. Everyone is going to keep you safe." Derlik kissed Nix's head, hugging him.

"Okay…" Nix didn't seem entirely convinced, but buried his face in Derlik's chest anyway.

Derlik hugged Nix again, patting his back lightly.
"I've got you…"

Nix purred softly, holding tightly to Derlik for comfort. "What time is it?" He asked.

"It's almost five," Derlik said softly. The day was going so fast…

"Mm… that's late…" He murmured softly. Less than 24 hours until I have to be back with Halm…

"It is…" Derlik fell quiet a moment, then kissed Nix's head.

Nix curled his tail a bit and purred, trying to focus on the soft sound so that he wouldn't be thinking about Halm.

Derlik started to hum in turn, keeping his voice soft. It was just for Nix, just to help him be calm.

Nix seemed to relax a bit more at the humming, his tail swaying from side to side. "Mmm…"

Derlik kept it up when he saw Nix relax, his hands going to gently rub circles into the cat's back.
