The clouds were dark and angry. There was a soft drizzle, dampening the grounds and all that lived there. The normal happy atmosphere at camp was gone. In its place was a gloomy, dreadful feeling. Something was going to happen, something certainly unpleasant, and everyone at camp could feel it, even the new children at camp. Whatever it was would be revealed by the end of the day, they just hoped wouldn't be as terrible as this feeling was.

Amelia stood at the edge of the arts and crafts Pavillion, staring out at the grounds. She had occupied some of the younger campers with paintings, hopefully, able to keep them out of whatever was coming. Her arms were crossed, observing. No movement went unnoticed by her. Normally she left her personal dagger either hidden away or left behind in her cabin, but today it was strapped at her side, ready for a moment's use.

Nicholas was at the training grounds, sword in hand. He was practically by himself, only a couple of Ares' kids sparing a few meters from him. He wore a dark tank top and sweats. He didn't spar with people very often, preferring to by himself. So he was practicing with a dummy. Sweat and mist drenched his shirt and clouded his vision. He paused for a moment to swipe at his forehead and glance around him. Something was coming.

Winn was teaching some new hephaestus kids how to use the forge, and how to craft a weapon without any cracks or without it being so thin it could break easily, it didn't exacy distract from the off soon and gloomness, but hey, you could never be too prepared right?
He brushed a strand of hair to cover his scar and ear as he looked around the forge, he glanced at the exit debating if he should go look for amelia just to make sure she was safe.

Amelia walked back inside as some of the younger ones drew her attention away. They showed her their mostly awful little creations, and for once, she pretended to be a proud parent and say that they all looked amazing. She did something that she never did, and grabbed the beads. They were such a pain to clean up, but they would serve as a good distraction today. Amelia grabbed some string herself and started weaving a bracelet, with one particular person in mind.

He watched over the young ones, and the ones in there preteens make there weapons, they all had the natural nac for it but some of them were past natural talent and ability.
He smiled and ruffled all there hairs despite the groans of protest he got. However one of them noticed his distracted gaze, one of the older kids and walked over to him.
"so whats got you staring at the door? Or should I say who?'
He blushed a bit before clearing his throat.
"it's nothing, I'm just worried for nothing I'm sure.." he took a glance back at the door.
The older kid sighed, "Just go. I will watch over them."
He looked over, "No. I can't have you do that for me."
"Just go you dork, your no use to us distracted."
He sighed, walking out of the forge and smoothing out his hair.

Amelia got a lot of attention from the younger ones, demandong to know exactly what she was doing and how. Amd that led her to start all over again and show them how she was weaving and adding the beads into the bracelet. And while this did leave a huge mess of beads, at least rheir bracelets looked better than their paintings.

Winn shoved his hands in his pockets as he searched around the camp for her, getting tips from other campers but also getting the smirk or the eyes or some weird sign and he honestly hated it. I mean sure he liked her but didn't they know that teasing someone that will never get with someone like her was just sad and rude and mean?
He sighed, trying to not go into the deep end. He looked up and saw amelia immediately smiling and exhaling at her being safe. And although he always thought she would be good with kids she never seemed like she liked them much, it was nice to see her like that though.
He waved at her to try ans catch her attention, before just smiling at her and once closer saying a quick hey.

Amelia was finishing tying off her bracelet when she noticed Winn. She smiled softly at him. "Hey. I thought you were at forge. What brings you all the way to arts and crafts?" She made room for him on the bench to join her.

He smiled at her, a hand on his neck having moved from his pocket on the way over though he both knew and didn't know why he was so nervous to talk to her all of a sudden, maybe it was all the comments earlier. He just hoped amelia wouldn't notice.
He sat on the bench next to her smiling at the kids sitting at the table as well.
"well what if I said I was worried about you? Not exactly worried worried, i know you can fight, just worried in general something might happen. Hypothetically of course."

Amelia shook her head at him. "I'm fine. There's no need to worry about me. Just making a bracelet. Though you're welcome to help me clean up this horrendous mess. It might give me a pimple and that is something to worry about."
