@ElderGod-Icefire
He looked up at Gabe uncertainly, and nodded faintly. "Okay."
He looked up at Gabe uncertainly, and nodded faintly. "Okay."
"Let's get going," he mentioned. He was ready to go, making sure Alex was as well.
He grabbed the bag, looking around the hotel room for a moment.
Gabe let out a breath, letting his hand slip into Alex's.
"We'll be okay," he said again softly.
He looked up at Gabe. "Are you sure?"
"I am." Gabe offered a sweet smile, kissing Alex's cheek.
He smiled back, leaning into the kiss a little.
Gabe gave Alex's hand a gentle squeeze, beginning to gently lead him to the door.
He moved towards the door with Gabe.
Gabe didn't open the door, instead letting go of Alex's hand to go to his back.
"I'm right here," the ghost promised.
He nodded a little, and opened the door, swallowing faintly as he started walking.
Gabe kept right by Alex's back, kissing his head discreetly occasionally.
Alex headed to the front counter, checking out of the hotel.
Gabe stayed silent, not bothering Alex or distracting him. His attention was piqued, however, when he picked up snippits of conversation.
"Witch…"
"Let's you talk to ghosts…"
"…Evil."
Alex didn't pay any attention to the conversations, heading towards the place where he could get a small homestead.
Gabe followed after Alex, his hand lightly resting on the man's arm. They'd barely crossed the street when approached by a woman.
Alex looked up when the woman came closer, and he bit his lip for a moment.
"You're a haunted man," The woman said calmly. Gabe could have sworn she was looking at him, not Alex.
"Too many of you come here to escape, but you never do."
"What…what do you mean?" Alex asked softly.
"I can see him. What did you do to him?" Gabe took a step back, his hand still on Alex's arm.
(i gtg for a bit probably)
His eyes flicked to Gabe, then the woman. "What do you mean?" he asked again. Surely she couldn't mean Gabe…could she?
(Got it)
The woman was quiet for a moment, she herself letting her eyes flicker between the two men.
"Follow me," she said, motioning for them to come.
(back!)
Alex hesitated for a moment, then followed her, glancing at Gabe worriedly.
Gabe had no idea what was going on, letting his hand slip into Alex's with worry.
"What's going on with you two," the woman finally demanded when they were alone.
Alex followed the woman uncertainly.
Gabe didn't answer the woman's question either, staying beside Alex uncertainly.
"Speak up, will you? What's going on?"
"What do you mean?" Alex asked slowly.
"You know he's there," The woman said, waving at Gabe with her hand. "How? Are you like me? With… other powers, too?"
"I…maybe." he said, glancing at Gabe again, then at this strange woman.
The woman looked down, then back up at the two.
"You do," she said, not a question. "There's no way you could see him and not be able to do other things."
