Damien sighed, shaking his head, "Well, uhm fine." He said stammering, not really wanting to agree, but not seeing any other options just agreed with him. "But next time, at least let me pay for something." He said grumbling, as he adjusted his glasses, "I'm serious too." He crossed his arms, trying to act as tough as he was trying to sound, but sort of failing. After they were seated he stayed quiet again, sensing that Isaac's mind was in another place, and he didn't want to distract the other man. But, he wasn't going to sit in pure silence. Pulling out his phone, he checked his texts from his group chats and just some messages from friends. Not really seeing anything important, he just gave his usual minimal response, and then watched as his friends sort of ignored it, continuing whatever argument or conversation they were having. He knew that they would see his response eventually, but by then, he would have lost interest would take forever to respond, much to their chagrin, though. But after a few seconds, they actually responded to him, asking him if he wanted to go over to their dorm to just hang out. He quickly responded saying that he was at a restaurant. Then came the next annoying question, with who. It seemed to Damien that these people figured that he wouldn't go out to eat by himself, so he must be on a date or something of that nature. He responded with a friend, but they didn't seem to buy that. Fineee, a guy from my literature class, we just decided to get something to eat. Then, they began to pester him as to who it was in specifics as if they couldn't figure it out themselves. He rolled his eyes, getting slightly annoying by them, and just turned off his phone putting it back into his pocket.

Isaac noticed Damien’s reaction to the messages on his phone and frowned slightly. He hadn’t said a word to Damien yet for he was ordering food for the two. The waiter nodded to his order, saying that they’ll take some time to prepare the food. Isaac nodded and turned back to Damien when he finished the order.
“Something bothering you cutie—“ Fuck. He hadn’t intended to say that. But… he wasn’t going to correct himself. After all, he said that because it was the first thing that came to his mind…

@Calanthe

Damien jumped a tiny out of surprise as to what Isaac had said, but he decided to just act pretend as though he hadn't heard the last bit, "Uhm, it's nothing really, it's just my friends being annoying. They like to pester me a bit and bother me about some of the dumbest things, but I think that's everyone's friends. Right?" He said with a shrug, "I mean, it's no big deal to me, I'm used to it." He fidgeted a little bit with the edge of his cardigan, "What did you order?" He said with a curious smile, then it turned to a slight frown when his phone buzzed again, "Damn it." He murmured as he silenced his phone. He was getting a tiny bit frustrated that his friends continued to bother him, even though he didn't really give them a reason to leave him alone. Even if he did though, they probably wouldn't care, and it would be worse.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac sighed softly and shook his head.
“Honestly, regarding the friend thing… I wouldn’t know. Other than you, I don’t really have anyone else…” he noted ruefully with a gentle smile. Though, that smile seemed to have been hiding a couple of tears which he disregarded.
“Oh. The usual stuff; sirloin slices, shrimp wontons, tofu skin, sliced lettuce, and more. Yeah… Was there something special you wanted?” He’d asked, about to call for the waiter if Damien wanted anything at all. He took the small moment to glance up at the clock… 6:48 PM. In less than three-fourths of an hour from now, he’ll have to finish the meal and leave before Damien would question anything…

@Calanthe

Damien cheerful smiled turned to a confused frown, "I'm sorry about that." He mumbled, not exactly sure what to do. He wanted to make Isaac feel a bit better, but he wasn't sure what to say to him to make him feel better, or to do anything at all. "Oh, uhm, no no, that's more than enough, actual more than what I usually get since I'm basically broke." He smiled over at him, trying to cheer him up a little bit, "Thank you so much though, it's so nice for you to do all of this. I appreciate it."

@CasiCasino group

Isaac shook his head at Damien’s apology.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m used to being alone anyways,” he mentioned casually before clapping his hands together once softly.
“Anyways uh… I haven’t ordered drinks yet. What would you like?” He asked cheerfully, brushing off the topic about the money as he heard water drops coming from outside. Rain? He thought. He looked outside the window and there it was; the lucky star he’d wanted. The rain started to fall down, pattering against the ground and the walls of the restaurant. Now… his raincoat wouldn’t look so suspicious.

@Calanthe

Dominic felt even worse at this moment, "Isaac, I'm really sorry about that. I mean. . ." He sighed, not sure what to say about that. "Uhm, just a water would be nice, I really don't drink that much, I hope that's okay." Damien mumbled, being awkward again, "Oh look, it's raining!" he said cheerfully, "I love the rain!"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac breathed quietly, looking at the rain with a small smile forming on his lips.
“Yeah… I love it too,” He didn’t. Except for tonight.
He turned back to the restaurant when the pot and the food came. His eyes seemingly in awe with how the food was plated, almost perfect slices of beef and pork alongside the delicately plated vegetables. He couldn’t help but let out a soft ‘wow’.

@Calanthe

Damien smiled happily, "That's good, I mean, to me, it's so pretty and calming." His smile faded slightly, "I remember when I was little I used to sit outside one our families covered deck whenever a thunderstorm would come by, I loved hearing the rain, and just all the other sounds, well, until I nearly got hit by lightning, but that's a story for another day." He said with a slight shrug, then he turned back to look out the window, his mind lost in thought, all he could think about was the rain, and how peaceful it was to him. When the food came he looked down and smiled a little at Isaac's reaction, "It's nice, isn't it? Huh?"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac nodded to Damien. “It is quite nice. Well, it’s getting late now. Let’s just dig in.” He smiled as he spoke, dipping the vegetables in the steaming pot first followed by the fish balls and slices of meat. Of course, this was food for special occasions and was meant for sharing so when the meat finished cooking, he nodded to Damien.
“Don’t hesitate, I know you’re quite hungry,”

@Calanthe

Damien fell silent, again looking out the window. He wasn't paying attention to Isaac at this point and was lost in his thoughts. He started to think back to his home and family, and how much he missed them. He wanted to go home back to them and visit during his time that he had off, but he knew that they didn't want to see him, not anymore at least. He knew that in their eyes he had failed them. During high school, when he came out to them, they got upset and wanted nothing to do with him. Probably the fact that they were devout Catholics had something to do with it. He sighed again, and closed his eyes, trying to hide how he was feeling. He honestly felt like crying, just thinking about his family, but he knew that it would be weird to just start crying in a restaurant for no apparent reason. He figured that Isaac already thought of him as weird, to begin with, so maybe it wouldn't be too out of character in the other boy's eyes. He sniffled a little bit, then turned to look over at Isaac.

"Oh, the food's ready?" He said, trying to smile at Issac, "I mean, I'm not all that hungry, but okay." He said when his stomach growled, "Okay, I guess I am hungry." He said with a sigh, "Thank you." He mumbled as he began to serve himself some of the meat, then began to dip the meat into the sauce, "It's nice of you to invite me to go with you." He started to eat quietly, feeling a bit nervous again. Sort of like how he felt earlier around Isaac, he felt as though something was off, kind of like how he felt when they had spoken earlier about the murders before. Alsmost like he knew something bad was going to happen, but he wasn't sure of what. He looked over at Isaac, and studied the boy a little bit, trying to see if the other boy sensed it too, but if he did, he was hiding it very well.

@CasiCasino group

Unlike Damien, Isaac didn’t feel any fear nor any negative emotion, as a matter of fact, at the situation. Anyone would think, a rainy night at a campus not too close to the city seemed a bit dangerous but he disagreed. After all, it was only dangerous because of him. He smiled as he continued to eat, looking over at Damien and noticing the negativity his eyes showed.
“Something on your mind, sugarcube?” He asked with a warm grin.

@Calanthe

Damien nodded a little bit, "Nothing really, I guess, I'm just thinking about stuff like about my home and stuff. I kind of miss it." He said with a shrug, "But uhm. . ."He trailed off awkwardly, not even noticing the pet name Isaac had used on him, "I just feel a bit stressed in general, if that makes sense, I'm fine, really." He said with a smile, trying to reassure the other boy, "What about you?" He continued to eat, still feeling the nervousness from earlier. Maybe these killings are just getting to me, I just think it's so weird that they;re happening. He thought to himself, as he saw he continued to worry, Isaac said that I'd be fine, so i must be fine, even if he doesn't know for sure. He wouldn't know, he's not the killer, so how would he know for sure? But still, it's kind of calming.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac looked down after a bite when the question was asking, silently chewing and swallowing before he answered.
“Hm… I suppose the murders. I’m still thinking about them.” 7:12 PM Fuck… Time was running faster than he would’ve wanted and so he started eating more. Of course, the rain was still pouring down. And it was pouring down hard.
“Did you bring an umbrella?” He asked just now. The thing is, as much as he wanted to use the raincoat for the murder, he didn’t want Damien to get sick either…

@Calanthe

Damien shrugged, "I won't need one, I'm used to walking in the rain, and plus, I don't get sick from it. You don't need to worry about me!" He said with a cheery smile, honestly worrying about the murders more than about his health. "Are you alright?" He asked, seeing how fast the other boy was eating now, "If you need to leave or something, it's alright. I can pick up the bill and stuff." Yes, he was still on the whole paying for the food thing, even if it sort of annoyed Isaac, "Do what you need to do and stuff, I don't mind."

@CasiCasino group

Isaac, realizing his error here, looked up innocently to Damien.
“What? No no, I just— it’s really good.” He spoke very cheerfully, not wanting Damien to suspect anything. After a while, he looked back at the restaurant’s clock again… 7:18
Great. He still had some time to spare since he was nearly full and hopefully Damien was as well. The thing about Damien walking through the rain… although he’d said that, Isaac couldn’t help but feel a sense of guilt if he didn’t give Damien the coat.

@Calanthe

With this new addition to Isaac's behaviour, Damien now was really sensing that something was off, something the boy wasn't telling him, "Isaac, I'm serious, if you really need to go somewhere, or leave early it's fine, I understand. I'm used to people ditching me on dates and stuff. And I'm not saying that to guilt trip you or anything, but I can tell you have something more important that you need to go too. I'm not dumb, or that dumb." He said with a shrug as he finished up eating, "I'm uhm done." He mumbled and started to fish out his wallet, "Okay, uhm, I guess I'll see you later?" He said with a sigh, "I mean, well, uhm, yeah. . . Go ahead and go, I'll pay."

@CasiCasino group

7:21 PM
“No way, I’m paying Damien—“ he spoke almost forcefully, getting out his wallet and immediately calling the waiter. As the employee came over, he handed the money to the waiter along with the discount coupons he had.
“Okay, uh… I still have some time to run. I heard that there’s a discount at a clothes shop down the road so uh—“ he got his duffel bag “—I’ll see you back at the dorms?” He didn’t wait for a reply for he just ran out and put on his clear raincoat when he was sure that the cameras didn’t get an image of him. He then started to run down the road to where that woman would be tonight with the money.

@Calanthe

Damien jumped a little bit when he heard the way that Isaac had spoken, Okay, I guess I'll let him pay? When the waiter came back the change left over from the money Isaac had given him, he mumbled a quiet, you keep it and started to stand up, still in a bit of a daze from how the other man had acted. He quickly gathered his bag and things and started to walk out of the restaurant, heading to the dorms. He wasn't sure if he had done something Isaac before they had gone out to eat, or during the meal that had gotten the other man to behave like that. But, he couldn't think of anything that he had done that stuck out to him. Maybe I just weirded him out or something? But again, he couldn't think of anything gross enough either.

At this point the rain was pouring down, and Damien was getting drenched, but he didn't really care. He was just feeling depressed right now, not knowing what he had done to the other boy. By the time he had gotten to the dorms he was soaked. He opened the door to his room and headed to the shower so he could warm up. The poor boy was freezing, and just wanted to lie down.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac had found himself standing by the alleyway where the business woman said she was going to be at. He was masked, gloved, covered with the raincoat, and hiding the knife just beside his sleeve. He turned when he heard breathing sounds from the woman who just ran there and stopped there in the alleyway’s entrance.

“I brought the money… now return my child…” she spoke through the breaths, her face covered with water, either from the rain or from the tears.

Isaac, upon hearing the woman’s desperation, he smiled and walked over to her. He took the luggage of money and nodded to it before smiling under his mask.
“Say… where do you think your son is?” He asked coldly.

“With you… obviously…?” She answered, honestly unsure at this point.

Isaac then moved out of the way, revealing that behind the large trashcan was the woman’s son, his throat slit generously and his blood pouring down his body. As the woman stood there in shock and was about to scream, the knife Isaac had in his sleeve slid down to his hand and was stabbed through the woman’s torso as his other hand covered her mouth.
“Shh… rest peacefully…” he spoke before throwing the woman’s dying body to the ground beside her child. He looked at them for a moment before sticking the ‘Ace of Hearts’ sticker on their chests where their hearts were.
“A happy family… sadly, with a twisted mother. I’m sorry child… I had to take your life as well… you knew too much…” with that, he closed the eyes of the two and took off his raincoat, throwing it down so that it covered the two bodies. He then got everything he brought and left with the money. He quickly entered his dorm, locking his door.

@Calanthe

After his quick shower, Damien was back to where he was before, chilling on his bed and watching that show. He was curious about what Isaac had to do, and about what had made him leave so quickly, but he wasn't going to bother him just yet. The other boy was probably still busy with what he was having to do, especially since he rushed off so quickly. But then again, he wasn't sure, and it wasn't any of his business. But when he heard a door slam loudly down the hall, he figured that the other boy was back. He pulled out his phone and scrolledd through his contacts and messages til he found Isaac's contact. They had swapped numbers at the beggining of the semester when they began to talk to eachother, but Damien had never worked up the nerve to text the other boy.

He quickly typed up a simple message, checking if the other boy had made it back safely, and hoping that whatever he had needed to do had gone well. Then, he waited. He wasn't sure how the other boy would respond to him texting him, but he hoped that it would be alright. He turned back on his show to take his mind off his nervousness and began to relax. Soon, he started to fall asleep, completely forgetting about the text or the murders, or anything else that was bothering him.

@CasiCasino group

((I wanna see something where… Damien wakes up, turns on the TV, sees the news of the new murders, and recognizes the raincoat and the duffel bag.))

@Calanthe

((Then, would you want him to confront Isaac, or just stay quiet until it eats him up and avoid him, then just randomly say it to Isaac?))

@Calanthe

Damien woke up to the sound of his alarm going off and slammed his hand down on it, in hopes of shutting it off. He rolled over onto his side and eventually shut the thing off, but at this point, knew that he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. He pulled out his phone and began to scroll through his texts and notifications when he saw that there had been another murder by the Ace killer. He shuddered, wondering who the new victems were. He started to read the article on his phone when he noticed something odd. Number one, a child and his mother were the victims this time, not an older person, although the family was quiet wealthy. And two, there was a picture of the back of the killer as he walked off. At first Damien didn't pay too much attention to the picture, figuring that the authorities would probably be able to figure it out, but when he did a double take, he recognized some of the items. I-isn't that Isaac's duffel bag? And his raincoat? And those look like the pants he was wearing yesterday. The thought of that sent chills down his spine, It couldn't be, Isaac would never harm anyone. But the more Damien thought about, the more possible it seemed, He was in a rush to leave last night, and he knew so much about the murders, too much, more than anyone should know about that stuff. He started to get wash up and get dressed for his first class which was in an hour. As he got dressed, the thoughts continued to swim through his head, I don't believe it, but it does seem so likely, I don't want it to be true. . . As Damien met up with his friends as they were heading to their classes, he stayed silent as usual, and was just praying that Isaac wouldn't be there, but of course, the other boy was. Damien started to walk out of the room, but it was too late, the other boy had already spotted him and was waving him over. He slowly trudged over to his seat and sat down, quietly mumbling a good morning to Isaac, then pulled out his laptop.

@CasiCasino group

“Good morning Damien…” Isaac eyed the other boy’s expression for a bit.
“You don’t seem so lively today, did you catch a cold?” He asked, pulling out his laptop and scrolling through the news. Of course, everything in the local news were talking about what he did last night and how the killer had left things behind this time around. He was glad as hell that the security camera didn’t catch his face. Even if it did, with the hat and the mask he wore, the police shouldn’t be able to find him. He sighed softly to himself, regretting his decision of wanting the child to sleep in peace… to the point that he’d forgotten his duffel bag there. Should he thank himself for his weird behavior of usually putting on gloves even when they’re not necessary. He should also thank the rain and the blood from the child which helped cover most of the duffel bag, making it nearly impossible for the police to get his DNA.

He didn’t have any more murders planned this week… perhaps that was only for the best.

@Calanthe

Damien nodded his head slowly, as he pulled up his textbook for the class and quickly responded to a couple of emails. "I'm also tired." He mumbled, still not looking at the other boy. He had an idea though, the professor here really liked him, and was also good friends with the professor who taught Damien's other class that day. He stood up slowly and made his way to the man's desk, quietly explaining that he'd need to go back to his dorm for the day. The man finally gave Damien the permission he needed, and the boy walked back to his table, putting his things away. He was still avoiding Isaac's gaze, having seen how happy the other boy seemed, and how satisfied he looked. A chill went down his spine thinking that the other boy might be happy about his kills the night before. He hoped not, but he couldn't be sure. He mumbled a bye to Isaac and exited the room, going back to his dorm room. The second he got back he flopped down on his couch and then began to cry quietly, not knowing what to do. He wanted to turn Isaac in and put an end to all the murders, but he also cared about the other boy, and hoped that he might change.

@CasiCasino group

When Damien abruptly left, Isaac made a mental note of his leaving. Of course, he wasn’t as close to the professor as Damien was but the professor knew that he was one of the only people who Damien was willing to talk to. He asked the professor to give him permission to go take care of Damien, saying that the boy was probably having a panic attack. The professor was hesitant but eventually, he allowed it. Isaac nodded and left the room immediately.

He headed to the dorms, looking around for Damien’s. When he found it, he knocked softly on the door. Not saying anything, hoping that the boy would open. If he did, Isaac was going to go in without second thought, just to prevent the boy from shutting the door on him.
