"Thanks! I found it in miss Serna's magic closet." Nix purred happily at the petting, his tail swaying back and forth.

(Also I'm just gonna say it now, Derlik is the second biggest manipulating abusive pricks of all the gods, idk how he fell for Nix-)

Derlik was happy when he heard Nix purr. He hummed softly as he applied the makeup.
"You're really pretty, period," he continued.

"Thanks!" Nix flushed a bit at the compliment, keeping his eyes closed for now. "I try my best to look nice."

Derlik hummed, finishing up Nix's eyeshadow before moving on to the blush.
"Well, you do an amazing job of it."

"Thank you!" Nix purred a bit more as he flattened his ears back against his head. "Do I look prettier with makeup?"

"Yes, you do. But only because you were so pretty to begin with." Derlik smiled, finishing. He scratched Nix's head lightly.

Nix stuck his tongue out a bit, purring happily at the petting. "Glad you think so~" He leaned into Derlik's hand. "Should we go back out?"

"Sure! We can show the others." Derlik smiled, picking Nix up again. He was definitely more okay with physical contact with Nix now.

Nix rested his head on Derlik's shoulder and huddled close, his tail swaying back and forth beneath him. "We should do something."

"Anything particular in mind?" Derlik hummed, carrying Nix into the kitchen where everyone else still was.

"Mm… I dunno. Maybe we can go outside and get some fresh air? I think it's pretty nice out." Nix hummed.

"Sounds good to me!" Serna looked up when the two came into the room, still weary.

Nix looked up at Serna when they entered the room, still purring. "Are you okay, miss Serna?"

Serna looked up, nodding a bit for Nix's sake.
"Your makeup looks very nice," she said. Derlik grinned, looking at Nix.

"Thanks! Mr. Derlik did it for me." Nix smiled brightly and toyed with his hair a bit. "I don't really know how to do it myself."

Serna nodded slightly.
"I'm sure you'll learn." She glanced at Derlik, who was smiling softly as he held Nix.

"Probably, yeah… I'll figure it out." Nix purred a bit louder as he nuzzled against Derlik.

Derlik smiled a bit more when Nix purred more. He reached up, running his fingers through his hair.
"You still want to go outside?"

Nix nodded a bit as he leaned into Derlik's hand. "Mhmm! Maybe you can bring me somewhere I haven't gone before."

"I see! Well, why don't I take you to…" Derlik thought a moment, walking out of the house as he did.
"Why not go see the lakes? They're really pretty."

"Mmkay! As long as I don't have to get in the water. I can't swim." Nix rested his head on Derlik's shoulder.

"Good! I can't swim well at all." Derlik chuckled, setting off down one of the paths.

"You're tall, though, so at least you could stand up in the water." Nix hummed softly to himself. "I'm short. Taller than Cas, though."

"Yes, indeed. It seems everyone is taller than Cas." Derlik laughed lightly.

"Yeah, he's like five feet tall… he's nineteen, but everybody thinks he's twelve."

"Well- that included me." Derlik laughed lightly.
"It must be frustrating for him," Derlik mused.

Nix nodded a bit. "Yeah… it was kinda funny when miss Serna thought he was, though, since obviously he and Zachary were kissing."

Derlik snorted a bit.
"Oh god, that must have been!" Derlik chuckled more.

"She literally had Cas leave the room so she could have a stern talk with Zachary." Nix laughed. "She's like, 'you know better than that, he couldn't be more than twelve years old'."
