(lolol I know what you mean though)
Lachy couldn't help the faint smile that crossed his features, letting his eyes close. He liked this, more then he should. Making connections, more then friendship, was deadly.

((Oh thank god lmao))
For once, Aidan’s brain didn’t shut down, or get overwhelmed with negativity. Instead, it was quiet and peaceful. He let himself enjoy the moment, his hand tangled in Lachy’s hair, and Lachy’s head on his shoulder. He smiled softly. He liked this.
Lachy almost purred with content, however he managed to cover it with a sigh instead. He blushed softly, enjoying the attention and the comfort that radiated off of Aidan in the moment. If only life could be this peaceful.
Aidan would stay like this for a few more minutes, happy having Lachy close to him. It made him feel so peaceful. If this is what happened whenever he stopped being angry or stopped shutting people out, he really liked what resulted from it.
But, all things have to come to an end. Even though Lachy wanted to stay like that for hours on end, people started to look over, and rumors was something they didn't need right now. So he pulled away.
Aidan let him pull away but he really didn’t want him to go. But he knew as well as Lachy did that rumors were something they didn’t want. “Do you wanna go back inside? Or would it be better for us to stay out here?”
Lachy shrugged a shoulder. It might be best if they headed inside, just so people would stop staring at them. Just knowing people were looking made his skin crawl, "Inside. Just for now."
He nodded, standing up. He offered Lachy a hand up, just to be polite and then he realized that might look a bit too suspicious, but left his hand out for Lachy regardless.
Lachy took his hand, however as soon as he was standing he let go. He mumbled a thank-you before heading inside the house.
Aidan followed Lachy inside, honestly still wanting to be around him. He closed the door behind them with a loud sigh. “Hopefully we didn’t end up starting too many rumors….”
He immediately relaxed once the door was shut, collapsing on the couch face down, "They gave us one bed," Came the muffled reply, "I think they think we're together already."
“Oh yeah they most definitely think that.” He crossed his arms, sitting down on the couch near Lachy. “This is gonna be fun to deal with.” He looked over at Lachy, poking him gently. “You okay?”
Lachy raised an arm and gave a thumbs up, "Peachy. I just don't like people staring." It made him feel like he was back at school when everyone would stare and make fun of him, "Nothing big."
“That makes sense. Anyway, I really don’t know if we’re going to be able to get rid of the rumors but we can try I guess.”
"Rumors tend to stick around. And if they already think that something is up trying to get rid of them are just useless. I think we just… be ourselves and go from there."
“That’s true….this is going to be a real bother for us isn’t it?” He said, releasing a long sigh. Aidan wasn’t used to being in the center of attention so this would be hard for him.
Lachy nodded, rolling onto his side and curling round one of the outrageously soft pillows, "Mhm. Unless we make it explicitly clear like… yelling at each other in front of everyone that we are not together then they're always going to believe it."
“Yeah But I don’t want to yell at you, and we need to be a good team, so I guess we’re just going to have to deal with it.”
"I guess so." He sighed, drawing patterns on the pillow he was holding, "Hopefully no one makes too many comments about it, though."
“I don’t think they will. At least I hope not. And if they do make comments we can just ignore them.” He leaned off the back of the couch, his bangs falling up over his head.
Lachy rolled over all the way, pillow to his chest as he stretched his legs out across Aidan's lap, "Ignoring them might be hard when it seems like there's so many of them here."
“True. We’ll just have to do our best then.” He said, looking over at Lachy. He wasn’t necessarily angry about the rumors. There were a lot worse people to be accused of dating.
Lachy sighed softly, glancing at Aidan before back to his pillow, "When did Mike say he was coming back?" He asked.
“No idea. Maybe a few hours or so?” He said with a soft sigh. He didn’t mind having to be around Lachy. But being in confined space together for awhile meant things would get awkward between them eventually.
He nodded a little. It then dawned on him that he barely knew anything about the other male. If they were supposed to work together, they had to be friends, and friends knew what the other was like, "Wanna play 21 questions?"
“Sure.” He suddenly sat up, finding that all the blood was rushing to his head. He readjusted himself on the couch. “Umm…you ask first.”
Lachy hummed, thinking for a moment. Start with the simple questions and work his way up, "Favourite hanf out spot back home?"
“Mm..there was this kinda secret spot near the back school parking lot. Kids used to just go and make out but then I took it over.”
"Define 'take over?' Like did you just scream at them until they went away or did you actually drop kick 'em out?"
“I didn’t even have to do anything, although I wish I drop kicked them. But no one wants to make out when there’s just some dude standing there staring at you. So yeah, I was that creepy kid at my school.”
