Cas placed down a few more pieces and soon finished the puzzle. "Done! Should we ask miss Serna for another or just go to bed?"

Zachary thought a moment.
"B-Bed," he finally said. It was getting late.

"Alright, let's go to bed, then." Cas kissed Zachary's cheek with a soft smile. "Wanna take us there?"

Zachary nodded. He wheeled them out of the kitchen, leaving the puzzle on the table. He hummed softly, kissing Cas back as he lifted them up onto the bed. At least his arms were a lot stronger now.

"I love you~…" Cas murmured, huddling up against Zachary with a soft smile. "G'night, Zachary…"

Zachary hummed softly, kissing Cas's head.
"Love you~," he said softly in reply. "Goodnigh, Sass…" Zachary smiled faintly, kissing Cas again before closing his eyes.

(Time to skip to trauma aha)
Cas was still asleep the next morning when Zachary awoke, but Nix seemed to have gotten up at some point before Serna woke up and was now throwing up in the bathroom.

Zachary blinked, thinking he was the only one up. That, of course, was proven wrong when he heard someone throwing up. He pulled away from Cas a bit, shaking him slightly to awaken him.

"Mm… what…?" Cas stirred and yawned, whining a bit in protest upon being awoken. "What's going on…?"

Zachary motioned to the bathroom, looking very worried. He wasn't able to help Nix on his own, and it didn't look like Serna was up to help.

"Ah, shit…" Cas sighed and got up. "I'll be back." He headed into the bathroom to where Nix was still throwing up. "Hey, Nix… what's going on?" He asked softly. Nix didn't reply, just panting hard as he hovered over the toilet. "I'll go get miss Serna for you, and some water, okay?" Nix nodded a bit and Cas left. "Miss Serna?" He called out as he knocked on the door.

Serna slowly awoken, sitting up.
"Yes, sugar?" she asked, looking around when she didn't see Nix.This worried her, so she stood, opening the door to find Cas standing there.
"What's wrong?"

"Nix is throwing up in the bathroom… I'm gonna get him some water, but I figured you could do something too…" Cas led Serna out of the bedroom and filled a glass with water.

Serna listened carefully, then nodded. She hurried to the bathroom without a word, kneeling down next to Nix.
"Hey, sweetie," Serna said gently. She moved her hand to his stomach to help with the throwing up, the other going to his back to rub him gently.

Cas soon returned with the water and held it out to Nix, who accepted it with a weak 'thank you'. He sipped at the water and rubbed at his teary eyes, drawing in a few wavering breaths.

"When did this start happening this morning, sweetie?" Serna said gently. She moved her hand over his stomach, doing her best to help with whatever was causing this.

"I-I dunno… half an hour ago, maybe…?" Nix replied weakly, drinking some more of his water as he slumped against Serna.

"Oh, poor baby…" Serna wrapped both arms securely around Nix, hand still on his stomach. "Why didn't you wake me up?" she asked gently.

"W-Well, I was a little preoccupied with trying not to throw up on the floor, and I haven't had an opportunity to go and get you… I've mostly been throwing up." Nix sighed shakily.

"Okay, okay sweetie…" Serna held Nix closer. Her rubbing his stomach seemed to be easing the tension there, taking away any urges to vomit for now.

"I don't wanna be sick anymore…" He whined softly. "I'll go grab some medicine…" Cas headed out of the bathroom and soon returned with medicine.

"Okay, Nix," Serna said softly. She accepted the medicine from Cas, offering it gently to Nix.
"Here, this will help…"

"But it tastes bad…" Nix whimpered, huddling a bit closer to Serna. Cas sighed and left again, returning a minute later with some milk. "Here. You can drink this when you're done with it." Nix sighed and hesitated before downing the little cup of medicine, quickly starting to drink his milk as soon as he was done.

Serna patted Nix's back when he was done.
"You did a good job," she said gently. "You're gonna get better, okay?" She gently patted Nix's head now, holding him close.

Nix nodded weakly and soon finished off his milk. "I just wanna feel good again…" He whimpered. "I know, Nix… you're gonna be okay."

Serna ran her fingers through Nix's hair lightly.
"We're gonna get you all fixed up, sugar. It'll just take some time."

"Mmkay… can it be soon, though? I don't wanna do this again…" Nix whimpered shakily, huddling a bit closer. "Can you fix it with magic?"

"I… Can try," Serna said gently. "We'll have to go back to the lab, okay?"

Nix nodded a bit and held his arms up to Serna to be carried. "It won't hurt, will it?" He asked meekly.
