"Okay…" Nix toyed with his hair a bit, his face lightly flushed. "When are we gonna do them?" He asked softly.

"We'll do them after you've gotten better from this," Serna said. She checked his forehead after a moment, still concerned the fever might come back.

Nix nodded a bit and leaned into Serna's hand. His forehead was still a tad hotter than normal, but he was definitely doing better.

Serna took the blanket from around herself and Nix, but she still let him stay on her lap. She left her hand on Nix's cheek, humming faintly.

Nix yawned a bit and swiveled his ears around whenever he heard a sound from around the house. Cas had his eyes closed by now and was relaxing in Zachary's lap.

Zachary was content to sit with Cas, close to sleep. Serna rubbed Nix's back slightly.
"Do you think you can eat something?" She asked gently. "Don't worry if you can't."

"Um… maybe? I'd probably be able to if you did you thing that makes it so I don't throw up…" Nix huddled a bit closer to Serna.

Serna nodded.
"Do you want to try to eat?" She placed her hand on Nix's head, gently scratching behind his ears.

"Mm… not really, but if you think I should, then I can try…" Nix sighed. "As long as you don't try to force feed me again…"

"There won't be anymore force feeding," Serna said gently. "And I'm so, so sorry I did that to you. And I won't ask you to if you don't feel you should."

Nix nodded a bit and huddled a bit closer. "O-Okay… I'm… I'm not really hungry right now, but maybe we could try again at dinner?"

"Okay then. We'll keep it light, too." Serna ran her fingers through Nix's hair lightly, humming gently.

Nix nodded again and leaned into Serna's hand. "Mmkay… thanks…" He sighed softly and curled his tail around himself.

"You're welcome…" Serna let out a soft breath, the television still playing in the background.

Nix didn't seem to have any interest in the TV, far more occupied with cuddling. "I'm tired… do you think it's because I'm sick?"

"That could be one thing," Serna said. "It could… also be because of what's been happening to you." She patted Nix's head lightly. "Do you want to take a nap?"

"Mm… sure. My head kinda hurts, though… I dunno if I'll be able to fall asleep." Nix yawned a bit and purred when Serna pet him.

"Do you need help with that? I'm sure I could do something about it." Both the headache and falling asleep. She gave a faint smile when Nix started to purr.

Nix nodded slightly and nuzzled into Serna's hand. "If you can help, that would be nice…" He murmured softly.

Serna nodded.
"Of course…" She left his hand on Nix's head, closing her eyes a moment. In a moment, her powers had kicked in. It slowly melted away the pain as Serna hummed softly.

"Mmmmm~…" Nix purred softly and relaxed as the pain went away, melting into Serna's arms. It didn't take him too long to drift off to sleep after that.

Serna sighed faintly. She laid down with Nix, closing her eyes as well.

Cas looked up when Serna lay down with Nix and gently kissed Zachary's cheek. "I love you~…"

Zachary let out a hum, opening his eyes.
"I love you~," he countered quietly. He turned, kissing Cas on the lips lightly.

Cas kissed Zachary a little more eagerly, moving closer to him. "Wanna head back to our room, love?" He asked.

Zachary nodded a bit. He wheeled them out of the living room, kissing Cas again and leaning into him a bit.

Cas smiled softly and pressed closer once they were alone. "I'm really glad I have you, love. You're so good to me."

Zachary blushed a bit, wrapping his arms back around Cas.
"I…" he trailed off, letting his smile speak for itself.

Cas flushed a bit as well and kissed Zachary passionately. "I really love you, you know that? You're so great."

Zachary raised one hand to Cas's head, holding him close even when they weren't kissing. He blushed a bit more, nuzzling into Cas lightly.
