Asa slept peacefully, finally feeling safe. She hadn't had this feeling since she was with her mother, but even now it was different. It wasn't a bad difference, of course, but she didn't feel the same for Ashera as she did her mother.
Ashera wouldn't say that she was exactly maternal, but she certainly felt protective of the young halfling and refused to let anyone hurt or take her. She was confident that she would be able to use her magic would help keep Asa safe. At least as long as they stayed together.
Asa hummed in her sleep, letting out a little trills and hums. She pushed closer to Ashera, feeling content in her warm. The small dragon tucked her head against the elf.
Ashera smiled softly, only half asleep and enjoying the happy little sounds Asa was making. She gently held the young dragon girl close to her.
(feel free to do a time skip to when they wake up, if you want.)
(Yeee <3)
Asa was asleep for a good hour, her soft sounds of content continuing even after she awoke. Her eyes fluttered open as she looked around with a yawn.

Ashera only rested for thirty minutes, maybe a little longer. The soft sounds Asa made lulling her somewhere between sleep and awake since she wanted to hear them.
”Hello, sweetie.” she said softly when she noticed the little dragon wake up.
Asa hummed softly in response. For a moment, she forgot she was allowed to speak. When she did, though, she smiled ome.
"Hey… how long was I out?"
”About an hour.” she chuckled, stretching her arms over her head. ”Sleep well?” she hummed.
"Mhm…" Asa smiled. She stretched herself, wings unfolding as she yawned.
"Did you rest well too?"
”Oh, yes. It was very nice.” she smiled back, not moving to get up yet. ”I haven't had a nap like that in a long time.”
"Mm…" Asa nodded some, resting her head back on Ashera.
"Well, it's good you got one then. Naps are amazing…"
”Yes, they are.” Ashera nodded, draping her arm back over the young dragon. ”I don't know why people try to go all day without one.” she chuckled.
"Me either… I like to have two or three…" Asa nuzzled against Ashera, giggling some.
”Sleepyhead.” she teased, lightly kissing her nose. ”I think one is enough for me. Being a working girl and all.” she smiled.
"Mhm… dang right I am." Asa giggled some at the kiss. "I'd work, but I'm too adorable."
”Yes, you are.” Ashera giggled in agreement. She yawned a little and smiled at Asa. ”You hungry?”
The dragon thought a moment, then nodded.
"A bit, yeah," Asa said.
Ashera nodded a little and slowly sat up, gently pulling Asa onto her lap. ”Ok. How’s a berry salad sound for a light lunch?” she asked. It seemed that was the young dragon's favorite food.
(I back for a bit :0)
Asa settled into Ashera's lap contently when she was placed there, still comfortable because she was still with the elf. She lit up a bit at the mention of berry salad, nodding some.
"Sounds great!"
(Welcome back! 😁)
Ashera giggled a little and hugged her close. ”Ok.” she agreed, standing up with Asa still in her arms. ”Oh! Do you want me to carry you?” she asked blushing a little.
"I'm perfectly fine with it!" Asa grinned up at Ashera, relaxed in the woman's hold. She let out a happy little trill, resting her head on Ashera.
Ashera gave a small sigh of relief and smiled back at the young Dragon before walking downstairs. She was glad that Asa didn't mind being carried though she was still a little embarrassed that she hadn't asked at first this time.
(Hey, uh… I think I'm going to have to drop this. I have too many rps at the moment, and I have to cut everything down to the ones I'm fully devoted to. I'm really sorry ;-;)
(I’m sorry to hear that… but I understand. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.)
(If you ever get bored enough to pick this back up again, I’ll be happy to join you 😉)
(Oh yeah, this is definitely the first one I'd pick back up when I'm able to!)
(Yay! Well, take care of yourself till then.)
(Hey, Swim! Look what I found!)
(:000 it's been forever aha)
(It really feels like that, doesn't it? :))
