A couple tears rolled down Nix's cheeks, but he tried his best to keep them hidden. He was happy for Cas and Zachary, of course. Especially Cas. But seeing them like that just made him feel so lonely and empty.

Serna picked Nix up, holding him close and turning her back to Cas so he couldn't see. She rubbed Nix's back gently, keeping him close. She nuzzled his head gently.

Cas didn't seem to notice, far too preoccupied with Zachary to care much. Nix buried his face in Serna's shoulder, curling his tail up between his legs.

Zachary kissed Cas's lightly.
"I love you," he said softly, the stuttering hesitation mostly gone. Serna rested her head on Nix's head, keeping him so close.

"I love you too~…" Cas smiled, gently returning the kiss and resting his head on Zachary's shoulder. Nix turned his ears back, trying to stifle his soft cries.

Zachary rested his head on Cas's, humming softly in happiness. Serna eventually just carried Nix out of the room, theses the bedroom so he could have some time to cry.

Nix started crying harder once he was away from Cas and Zachary, hiccuping and clinging to Serna. "I'm s… I'm s-sorry…" He stammered.

"No, don't be sugar. You've been through so much, of course you can cry over this." She rubbed his back gently, sitting down with him.

"It just— h-hurts… they both have each other and they love each other even though they're both hurt and I'm happy for them but it makes me feel so lonely…" Nix sobbed.

Serna nodded.
"I know how you feel, Nix," Serna said softly. "And you're not always gonna be alone, I promise."

"H-How do you know?" Nix hiccuped a bit, rubbing at his teary eyes as he looked up at Serna. "What if I'm just gonna— b-be alone forever…?"

"No one is alone forever, Nix, especially some one like you. You'll be able to find someone, I promise." Serna reached up to gently cup Nix's head.
"You'll be okay, I promise."

Nix closed his eyes when Serna cupped his cheek. "H-How am I supposed to find somebody I like when I'm stuck down here?"

"We'll find a way. There are other gods, and I'm sure I can get you up to the surface for a bit." Serna rubbed Nix's cheek gently.

"B-But Halm said claimed can't go to the surface because it's dangerous or something… it… it wouldn't be safe for me to try and date someone on the surface, would it?"

"It only is it your alone, Nix. If I come with you, they it'll be okay." Serna held Nix close, wanting to comfort him.

Nix sighed, burying his face in Serna's shoulder again. "If you say so… another person probably wouldn't like a third person being there all the time, though… but I wanna be safe…"

"I won't have to be right next to you, and I can make it to where they won't see me. It'll be okay. Nix." Serna rubbed Nix's head carefully.

"O-Okay… what if I can't find anyone, though?" He asked. "What if I get broken up with? What if I get raped like Cas did?" He whispered shakily.

"I'll make sure you don't get raped," Serna promised. "And… We won't know until we try. We'll find someone eventually, though."

Nix sighed, hiding his face again. "I-I'm scared, though… I don't wanna get broken up with and I don't know how to figure out what guys that I'm attracted to are gay…"

Serna nodded softly.
"I'll help you, okay? I'll keep you safe, and we'll find someone for you to be happy with."

"O-Okay…" Nix hiccuped as he tried to stop crying. "Where are we supposed to find people who will like me?" He asked.

"Well, something people use to meet is a website. I could set up an account for you?" Serna offered.

"Sure, I guess…" Nix huddled closer to Serna. "Is that something you can do on your fancy computer thing?"

Serna nodded.
"We'll make sure you're safe that way." She smiled softly.

"Mmkay… do you wanna go ahead and do it now, then?" He asked softly, turning his eyes up to Serna.

Serna nodded.
"I'm going to take a picture of you, okay?"

"Okay… should I do anything in particular?" He asked, cocking his head to the side a bit.

"Just smile for me," Serna said, pulling her phone out. Yes, gods have phones.
