Asa watched Ashera as the woman worked, letting out little hums and trills occasionally.
Ashera started humming as she gathered more herbs.
Asa listened quietly to Ashera hum, smiling gently and closing her eyes a moment. She set her head on her paws, smiling gently and keeping next to Ashera.
Ashera smiled at Asa and continued to hum, taking a moment to pet the young Dragon.
Asa leaned into the petting, letting out a quiet hum of enjoyment herself. She opened her eyes sleepily.
Ashera giggled lightly. ”Tired, little Dragon?” she asked, her eyes holding a small spark of teasing at the nickname.
"Maaaybe," Asa said, yawning a bit. She hummed just slightly, leaning her head against Ashera's leg.
Ashera giggled again and lightly bopped Asa's nose with her finger. She looked at her garden and back to her friend. ”Would you like to go inside and take a little nap?”
Asa shook her head a bit at the nose boop, smiling. She'd like it. She looked up, nodding a bit.
”Alright.” Ashera smiled and gently picked her up. ”I’ll take you to my room and you can take a nap in my bed. I might join you after I deal with my last customer.” she said, standing up and using her magic to lift her basket.
Asa nuzzled into Ashera's arms contentedly. She frowned a bit when she found out Ashera said she wouldn't be joining her right away.
"Okay," she said, nuzzling a bit closer.
Ashera hugged her a little closer. ”I’ll try to make it a quick appointment.” she said as she let the basket settle on the counter and continued to carry Asa upstairs.
Asa rested her head on Ashera's arm, nodding a bit.
"Okay…" She smiled faintly.
The Fae girl smiled softly at the little Dragon as they reached her bedroom. She had to admit she was a little reluctant to leave Asa alone… but her next customer was due at almost any minute. ”Sleep well.” she whispered, kissing between Asa’s horns before she gently set her on the bed.
Asa nuzzled Ashera, smiling at the kiss.
"Mm…" She curled up, head resting on her paws as she closed her eyes. "Thank you," she mumbled softly.
”You’re welcome, sweetie.” she smiled, standing up and very quietly walking out of the room. ”I’ll be back soon.” she promised, sincerely hoping that her next client would be a quick one.
"Okay then…" Asa yawned, mouth opening wide, then curled up again. She hummed faintly.
Ashera quietly closed the bedroom door, so Asa wouldn't be bothered while Ashera was working, and headed downstairs.
The customer only had to knock once before she welcomed them in.
(Had to go back and check for this but Happy Birthday!!! 🎉🎂🎁)
(are you there?)
Asa smiled some just a bit to herself, shifting a bit more so she was laying on the pillow. She hummed, eyes closed. She listened quietly what was going to on downstairs, close to falling asleep already.
This customer was a young woman who was just here to pick up an order for her grandmother, a long time client. Ashera actually remembered when she first started coming in for her arthritis. It took only a few minutes for the two to exchange pleasantries and the transaction. Once the young woman left, Ashera’s smile grew and she hurried quietly upstairs.
Asa was still curled up on the bed. She let out a little hum, head resting in her paws. She was breathing deeply, little trails of smoke coming out as she did. Her eyelids fluttered a bit when she heard Ashera coming, but they didn't open yet.
Not wanting to disturb the young Dragon, Ashera slowly and quietly opened the bedroom door before entering. She smiled at the adorable sight on her bed and joined her trying not to cause to much movement.
Asa let out a little rumble in the back of her throat when she felt someone join her. She opened one eye just to check, then closed it again. She shuffled just a bit closer to Ashera, moving her head to rest on the elf.
“It’s just me.” Ashera whispered, smiling softly at her sleepy friend. She hummed a little when Asa rested on top of heI and lightly ran her fingers down her back and between her wings.
Asa let out a soft purr, arching up just a bit into the touch. She nestled herself against Ashera securely, letting out a soft little sound of content. She didn't bother saying anything, content just to snuggle and nap.
Ashera smiled and held Asa close as she continued petting her. A small rest sounded pretty good to her too right now.
Asa tucked her head under Ashera's chin, a low purr rumbling in the back of her throat. All cuddled up like this, with Ashera patting her, it was easy as the small dragon slipped off to sleep at last…
Ashera giggled softly and closed her eyes as she continued stroking the dragon’s back, soon dozing lightly herself.
