"The kids haven't eaten yet. And I figured you might be hungry too." Lysander explained. "I just have to figure out how to take three bottles upstairs with my crutch. After this morning, I shouldn't put too much more strain on my leg."

" you shouldn't be on it at all you know Betty wouldn't like it" she said

Lysander sighed a little at that. “Someone has to take care of the kids. And with Betty not here, it's my responsibility.” he pointed out, not planning to ask her to do this while she was still expecting.

" Lysander " She said

“No, Tyler.” he replied firmly. “You can't talk me out of this. But if Henry gets back here in less than five minutes… I’ll sit down and let him do it. Ok?” he added with a sigh… mostly in an attempt to get her to calm down.

"Are you worried about her?" She asked

“Of course, I am.” he said, not bothering to hide it. “I… I shouldn't have let her do that. I had a plan…”

" Betty is always gonna put your life before hers " she said

“I know.” Lysander sighed. “I guess that happens when you're in love because I'm willing to put her and the kids’ lives before mine.”

She nodded softly

Lysander looked at her and smiled softly. “I’m sure Henry feels the same about you.” he assured her.

" I look at you and Betty and see an unconditional love a love no one else could have a love where you'd die for each other "

Lysander felt himself blush at Tyler's words but managed to give her a small grateful smile.

" I see the way she looks at you " Tyler said

“It… I've never had anyone make me feel like that… When she gives me that look.” he agreed with a loving smile at the memory, before an unwanted thought came to mind. “Does… Does she, look at Evan that way too?” he asked softly.

Tyler sighed closing her eyes

“I’m not asking because I'm jealous. I just know they care about each other a lot.” he tried to explain. “I… I know that she shared her heart and that's practically a love spell, right?”

" not exactly " Tyler said

Lysander looked over at her, a brow raised slightly hoping for more of an explanation.

" they were already in love with each other " she said

Lysander sighed, nodding a little. “I know that. But after, I mean… it strengthened the feeling and they still love each other.” he pointed out.

"The love is real it isn't forced" she said

“But they were in love before. And I doubt there's anything to undo it.” he said, sounding a little tired.

"She does love you Lysander " Tyler said

“I know. I just…” he sighed. “Nevermind. I guess I was being a little jealous.”

" why are you so jealous?" She asked

“I… I don't know.” he admitted. “Maybe because Evan’s my brother?” he shrugged.

Tyler sighed
