"I can do it, Cicada…" Phoenix whispered, giving her a soft look. He started pushing up off the couch, trying to get to the door first. "I really don't mind, you should just sit."
"I can do it, Cicada…" Phoenix whispered, giving her a soft look. He started pushing up off the couch, trying to get to the door first. "I really don't mind, you should just sit."
"If you say so," Cicada responded sitting back down on the couch. She gave Phoenix a soft smile as sherelaxed once more almost curling up on herself, but she stayed seated like a regular person.
Phoenix pulled out his wallet before pulling the door open, ready to tip the guy when given the pizza. After a minute or so of quick small talk, he took the pizza and shut the door behind him. "Mm, how much do you want?"
"Don't know, maybe half," Cicada replied looking over at him. She was leaning against the couch and appeared relaxed, "I ordered a large since I didn't know how hungry you were with your headache and all."
Phoenix nodded a little, pulling a plastic plate up for Cicada. Setting the food on her plate, he brought it in the other room to her. "Do you want something to drink? I think I saw a soda machine out in the hall."
"I can just get water from the kitchen," Cicada responded taking the plate from him. She gave him a little smile and tapped the water bottle, sitting nearby, "And I have a little bit left in this. If you want to get soda though, go right ahead."
"If you don't want it, I'm skipping it. I don't need the sugar." Phoenix told her softly, kissing the top of her head. He gave her a soft smile, picking up her water bottle. "Want me to go fill it?"
"I, if you wouldn't mind, sure," Cicada replied smiling a little. She hadn't expected that, but she really should with Phoenix. It was definitely a change of pace from her ex, "Make sure to get yourself water too okay?"
Phoenix nodded a little, unscrewing the lid as he walked back into the kitchen. He grabbed a glass of water for himself, and brought both of their waters into the living room. "Mm, I'm gonna wait to eat. I will eat, though."
"Okay," Cicada replied before taking a big bite of one of her slices. She patted for him to sit next to him, if he wanted to of course, "Do we want to watch a movie? I think we can rent one off of the Tv."
"Mm, whatever you want. I really don't care." Phoenix shrugged a little, setting his glass down before curling up next to her on the couch. He yawned a little, before resting his head on her shoulder. "I'm probably gonna fall asleep, anyways."
Cicada leaned up against him as she relaxed again. She let out a tired laugh before going to her pizza again, "I don't blame you. If I wasn't hungry than I would probably be about ready to fall asleep as well."
"Mm, I also know I won't be in pain if I'm sleeping." Phoenix mumbled, nuzzling into the crook of her neck. He was growing more and more dopey by the minute, growing numb as well.
"No you won't be," Cicada responded allowing herself to be Phoenix's pillow, basically. She leaned up against him and rested her head on his, "So go ahead and sleep, I'll be joining you soon enough."
“But I need to eat…” Phoenix whispered, not making an effort to move. He did need to eat, but he really didn’t feel like it right now. And sleep was oh so tempting. “You need to tell me to get off my butt and go eat. You’re tempting me to just skip it, and I really shouldn’t.”
“If that’s how you fee,” Cicada reached for one of the slices on her plate. She offered it to him with a little smile, “Then have one of mine. I’m not telling you to skip a meal, I’m simply suggesting you sleep first.”
"But that's your food… and I'm not sure I'll wake up until morning, if I go to sleep now." Phoenix mumbled, kissing her cheek softly. "I really need to make myself get up. Maybe take some pain-meds…"
"If you want to get up and then go right ahead," Cicada hummed a little as she held in the small bit a laughter that was bubbling up inside of her, "Even though I'm offering you my food, and I have painkillers over here."
"But it's your fooood…" Phoenix whined a little, attempting to get up but not making it very far. He was clearly too tired to try and get up, but was trying anyways. "I don't want to take it from you…"
"It's not taking if I'm giving it to you," Cicada argued back not moving from her position. She even pulled him back down a little, "I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat it anyways and we still have more pizza."
"Mm, why must you tempt me so?" Phoenix groaned dramatically, giving her his pout. He was starting to cave into her, glancing at her food. "I shouldn't, but I'm too tired to get up…"
"I know," Cicada told him softly as she contained her laughter. Phoenix was so damn adorable right now. She hummed a little and offered him the slice once more, "And I really don't want you to leave me right now."
Phoenix huffed a bit, finally taking the food she offered him. He was still pouting as he slowly started eating. "Mm… thank you…" He muttered still, eating in silence. Though a little smile was pulling up, which he was trying to suppress.
Cicada gave him a little smile as she went back to her own slice. She hummed happily seeing him eat, "You're welcome." Once done with her few slices it was harder to supress the tiredness that came from such an emotional day, and she didn't need to fight it off did she?
Phoenix finished off the slice, reaching over to sip from his water. "Mm… I know it's early, but we have all day tomorrow. Do we just wanna go to bed?" He asked softly, yawning a bit.
"That's probably a good idea," Cicada mumbled a little before she let out a yawn. She nuzzled up against him a little, "Should we move to the actual bed or jsut fall asleep here?"
"Mm, the bed would be more comfortable…" Phoenix mumbled, smiling a little when she nuzzled up against him. Carefully, he tried to pull her onto his lap to stand up and carry her. "You want me to take you?"
"If you don't mind," Cicada mumbled as she wrapped herself around him so she didn't fall off of him. She nuzzled her head up against him being happy with the moment, "It would be nice."
"Mm, if I can manage to get up… I didn't think this through." Phoenix laughed softly, scooting to the edge of the couch. "This should be fun…" He muttered, adjusting his hold on her before attempting to stand up. Eventually he managed to get to his feet, and carry her over to the bed.
Cicada laughed softly with him and held on tight. She let out a little cheer as he managed to get her over to the bed and ywaned ever so slightly, "Yay, you did it! And neither one of use dropped on the way there."
