"I'm hungry…" Cas mumbled, huddling close to Zachary. "Is Halm gonna make food soon?" He asked.

"I'll ask," Zachary mumbled. He touched his wrist, nuzzling Cas again.
Halm let out a small sigh, patting Nix's head.
"Cas is awake," he said.

"Mmmmm… but cuddles…" Nix whined, huddling closer to Halm. "Can't Zachary make food instead?" He asked.

"Last time he tried to cook the house nearly burned down," Halm said with a soft chuckle. "Com'on, we can't stall forever." Halm reached up to Nix's cheek, waiting for the okay.

Nix huffed a bit and looked up at Halm. "…Fine… just do it…" He sighed, closing his eyes in resignation.

Halm nodded a little, and in a moment Nix was back to his cat form. He sighed a little, holding Nix in one arm as he slipped off the bed.

Nix curled up in Halm's arm, clearly pouting. He turned his ears back and huddled close. He meowed at Halm quietly.

Halm sighed softly, reaching over to lightly scratching Nix's head.
"You're the one who wanted this," he said again. He made his way into the kitchen, still holding Nix close as he started to cook.

Nix climbed onto Halm's shoulder and buried his face in the other's neck, huffing again. He curled his tail around himself.

Halm turned to glance at Nix a moment, then turned back to the food. He finished it soon enough, so he picked up the plates and made his way to Cas's room.
"Breakfast is ready," he called out softly.

"Okay!" Cas slid out of bed and shivered a bit at the sudden cold. "Why's it so freezing here all the time?" He asked, sighing.

"We are underground," Zachary said. He stood, wrapping his arms lightly around Cas's waist.
"I can help keep you warm, though." He smiled softly, chuckling as he nuzzled Cas's cheek.

"Yaaay…" Cas hugged Zachary tightly, smiling a bit as he huddled close. "You're definitely warmer…"

"Mm, I bet." Zachary smiled, bringing Cas along with him as he opened the door to bring the food in.

Nix looked down at them when the door opened. "Nix? What're you doing like that?" He asked curiously. Nix meowed at him.

"He figured it'd be best to be like this for a bit,"Halm explained. He stepped in, offering Zachary and Cas their food. Zachary was a bit off put by Nix as a cat, but he was less intimidating like this.

Nix yawned a bit and glanced around the room. "Er… alright." Cas figured he shouldn't ask. He let Zachary take the food and headed back to the bed.

Zachary sat next to Cas on the bed, offering him his plate with a soft smile. Halm set Nix's food down as well, on a table, for him to eat.

Cas smiled gently as well and started eating, careful not to spill anything. Nix looked up at Halm expectantly, yawning again.

Zachary started eating as well, sitting right next to Cas.
Halm set Nix down next to his plate, Halm taking a seat on a chair next to the table. He started eating, expecting Nix to do the same.

Nix pushed a fork towards Halm with one paw, wrapping his tail around himself. He also pushed his plate to Halm with his nose.
(He's still demanding lol)

"Nix," Halm said with a chuckle, "you can eat perfectly well on your own like this, and the fork will hurt your teeth." He smiled softly, taking a bite of his own food.

Nix meowed loudly at him and batted the fork closer. He nuzzled against Halm's hand affectionately to try and convince him.

Halm did his best to ignore Nix's pushing, but he sighed.
"Fine, fine," he said, giving in. He picked the fork up and cut off a small bite for Nix, offering it.
"Spoiled," he mumbled. Still, he was smiling.

Nix purred happily and ate his food off the fork, careful not to scrape his teeth against it or anything. He closed his eyes and seemed to be content.

Halm sighed a little, gently patting Nix's back.
"You're completely spoiled," he said with a soft smile, going to get another bite for Nix.
