"I…" Fun wasn't sure what to make of the invitation. "Alright then." He climbed into the car, holding Evan on his lap carfully. He wasn't sure what to make off all of this, period. But, he was going with his new user, so he didn't mind much at all.
The 4 took off to Crystal's rather large house. Alex was in the back, doodling in his notebook, hiding in his big hoodie. The only real noise in the car was Evelyn and Crystal chatting away and the quiet sounds of the radio in the background. Now then, Evan had 12 other siblings, all of them living under the same roof, so one could only imagine how big the house was. Crystal got it for cheap since the basement is haunted but since no one really lives down there it isn't that big of a deal
Fun was used to big houses. Over thirty people lived in the home of the woman who… Adopted him? He still wasn't very sure. He held Evan close during the drive, glancing at the others a couple times but keeping to himself. When they pulled up, he got out carefully, rubbing Evan's back slightly as he stood there. He was waiting for instructions.
Evelyn looked back. "What the fuck are you waiting for? Get him the fuck inside!" She shook her head, yanked open the door on Fun's side after getting out of the van, and stomped off inside, Alex shyly trailing after her. Evan mumbled a bit in his exhausted painful sleep, and Crystal stood there, holding open the front door for Fun to carry Evan inside, and then place him on the couch so she could get to work on fixing him up. (Sorry if it's a little fast paced.)
Fun set Evan carefully down on the couch, electing to stay by his side while his mother was tending to him. He still didn't want to leave Evan's side. Evan might still need to use him.
"How bad is he?" He asked softly.
"Hmm…not as bad as I thought. His knees got the worst of what his ribs were supposed to get. A few bandages a bit of magic, he'll be okay. Now then dear, what would you like for lunch?" She asked, looking at Fun. "Luckily Alex is the only slightly picky eater but you're the guest. I'll cook anything, I don't mind." There was a groaning as Evan sat up, felt his head get heavy and laid back down. He then croaked out. "Mom can…can you get Farra?" She nodded. "Yes dear. Evelyn! Go get Farra for Evan." His sister ran upstairs and came back with a stuffed fox. Evan hugged it close, and settled into the couch, slightly chewing on it's arm. (Another thing. Crystal knows that some of her kids are littles, and after she did research 110% accepts them for it, and always makes sure to put a little item in their gifts whether it be a blanket, stickers, or a coloring book. Or something else of the sorts. She'll even let them act little when less judgemental siblings are around. Crystal is the best mom.)
(Crystal really is best mom of the year)
"I- I couldn't bother you for lunch," Fun said, stuttering a bit. "I'm just intruding on you and your family…" He looked down at Evan as he snuggled with the stuffed animal, letting out a soft sigh and a little smile.
She laughed. "Nonsense! Really dear. Sit down it's okay! I'm a stay at home mom so really, you being here is just me doing my job." (How she has so much money to provide for her kids is a really long story) "Sit down. I could make burgers, or spaghetti, or…hmmm…not the roast I'm saving that." She was already searching the shelves for food as Evelyn curled up in an arm chair and played on her phone, Alex tucking hmself away in his room. Suddenly a Tuxedo cat hopped up on the back of the couch and crept into Evan's arms, pushing away the stuffed animal. "TUX!" Evan squealed happily, hugging the cat and kissing it's head. "Hi baby. Missed me huh? I bet you're happy I'm home so early." The cat just purred and nuzzled Evan, then leaned out and licked Fun's hand. "Oh! Feel free to pet Tux. He's not mean and loves everyone. He's my lover boy isn't he? Yes he is. Yes he is!" He began to pepper the cat in kisses despite his busted up face. His cat had always been there for him.
Fun hesitantly sat down next to Evan, looking from Evan to Tux before petting the cat gently.
"I… Anything is fine with me," he said to Crystal. He looked at Evan a moment, smiling softly. It would be hard to think Fun could take down so many people easily as he had before. Even with all of his scars.
Crystal nodded, stuck a pizza in the oven, and then headed up to her room. She came down with a green goop and some herbs, and a small book of incantations. She sighed and dusted Evan with the herbs, then slathered Evan with the goop all over his face and body. She then read the incantations, and the goop turned red and gave off a pungent smell. She sighed and put it all back in the vial, and immediately everything was healed. "There, damn kids. I will be having a LOT of choice words with that lazy no good principal!" She then walked off as Evan sat up and gave Fun a small hug. "Again. Thank you."
Fun watched Crystal heal Evan. It was different then his aunt's healing. That came from herself, she had said. He was startled by the hug, tensing up and freezing. He didn't handle sudden touching well.
"Y-you're welcome…"
Evan noticed and sat down. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that to you or anything…" His face looked down cast as his cat wiggled his way into his lap and pawed at his nose. "Ahck Tux quit that!" He picked up a mouse off the floor and threw it, watching the lengthy cat chase after it and bring it back. He continued this game of fetch while Evelyn watched carefully Fun's mannerisms. Usually Evelyn was the oblivious one and Evan paid attention to details but, she dismissed it since he did have the crap beaten out of him today.
"I-it's fine," Fun said quickly when he saw Evan's down cast face. "I just… Need to know when people are going to touch me." Fun drew in on himself a little, have folded in his lap. Was Evan upset with him? Had her done something wrong by not returning the hug? Had he fucked up already? He watched Evan play with his cat, shifting in his seat a little.
"I get it. I used to be the same way. Really I do apologize I just didn't know." He said this with a warm smile, and ran a hand through his hair. Crystal on the other hand was on the phone with the principal and was trying her hardest to be as polite as possible, but such a thing as easier said than done as her tone got stricter and angrier. Evelyn got bored and hit up one of her friends who was in college, and decided to go hang out with them. "Mom I'm gonna go see Kali. We're gonna go get lunch at the ramen place downtown probably." "Alright dear. Try to be home when everyone else gets home so you can get started on your schoolwork!" Evelyn nodded and headed out the door and biked off.
Fun gave a tiny smile, glancing at Evan before looking away again. He really didn't mind hugs, really. He enjoyed physical contact. He just needed warning.
"I-it's alright. I… I enjoy hugs."
"No it's not alright. You've obviously gone or are going through trauma in your life, and then I go ahead and impose upon your boundaries. And while I may not have had prior knowledge of said boundaries, it was still rude of me to just go ahead and give you a hug without asking. I apologize." He bowed his head and tossed the mouse a few more times, the cat adoring this game. Another cat came along, an orange tabby cat. "Oh hi Taffy. I wouldn't pet her, she really only likes mom. Grumpy and mean to everyone else."
"Gone through," Fun clarified. He sighed softly. "My… Mom, she's getting me therapy." He looked over at the new cat, nodding.
"Alright then. I won't." He stayed where he was, starting to doubt whether it was okay to stay here. Maybe he should call his mother to come get him.
Crystal hung up the phone as the pizza timer beeped and she said in a sing song voice. "Pizza's done!~" She smiled and cut it up, after setting the table with plates and cups, letting the kids get whatever they wanted out of the fridge. Evan bolted straight for the kitchen, grabbing a can of soda and putting away the cup as he grabbed himself a few slices. Alex sat across from Evan shyly, too anxious to say anything as he ate a single slice and picked at his sleeves.
Fun was a bit surprised by how quickly Evan ran to the kitchen. He made his way out as well, sitting close to Evan. He didn't really feel like he would belong anywhere else. He got a single slice of pizza, nibbling at it without really eating.
Evan noticed. "Not hungry? I'd think your appetite would be bigger with how strong you are, and considering your muscles you must work out a lot." Evan said while looking over Fun with a meticulous look. He then looked into his eyes and for a moment got lost in them. Alex only ate half the slice and was about to get up when Crystal made him sit down and eat the other half, and then he ended up grabbing another.
"I…" Fun shook his head a little. He was caught up to much in looking at Evan's eyes. They were so pretty. He shook his head again, breaking the eye contact as he looked away.
"I don't," he said quietly. "It was just… Necessity." Fun hadn't been able to eat much while… In captivity. Just scraps.
"Ah. Me and Evelyn couldn't fight…" Evan then shook his head. "Still! You beat those assholes up pretty good! Eat as much as you'd like you deserve it! You must've wasted a lot of energy today." He said this with a certainty to his voice and before Fun could complain, Evan had set another slice of pizza on Fun's plate. He then pushed up his glasses. (I forget that he wears glasses so we'll just say that he had taken off his glasses at the lunch table to read something on his phone and that's why they didn't get smashed and shattered to a gazillion pieces)
Fun watched Evan, letting out a soft sigh.
"Okay then," he said, doing his best to eat the food given to him. He fell quiet, occasionally glancing at Evan as he ate. He took on a small smile, if just to keep Evan happy.
Crystal smiled as she ate. "Oh Evan! I think your friend here should spend the night as a treat and a thank you. We'll have root beer floats and a really good pot roast, honey smoked ham with carrots, celery, and little red potatoes. Which reminds me I need to go get a second ham…" She then snapped back. "Right. And we'll watch movies. The Goonies, The Princess Bride, maybe some Monty Python as well if we have time. We have a rather large box of hand me downs that I bet you could find pajama's and clothes to wear, and I'll run you too school tomorrow dear, don't you worry none." She smiled brightly, as Evan listened. "Mom I'd love him too, but I'll let him decide. In case he has plans tonight. He goes to therapy too so maybe he has a sesh or something." He shrugged, draining his soda. (Do it for the snuggles. For the gays. For the little space that is bound to happen.)
(I shall do it for the gays XD)
Fun was a little shocked by the offer.
"I-I, I would love to," he said with a smile. "I… I'll have to call my mother, though. I'm sure she'll be fine with it." She had always been encouraging Fun to make friends. He smiled a little.
"She'll probably stop by to check on my, though."
"Oh that's quite alright! Just let me know when she's coming over so I can get a proper pot of tea going!" She said with a smile. Evan nearly hugged Fun again but stopped himself and cleared his throat. "May I have a hug please, Fun?" He asked quietly, already learning his place. (Oh yes Evan is a big sub as well. And with the way Fun looks and is in his eyes weeeellll he's already majorly crushing.)
"She does enjoy tea," Fun said. He even have a small chuckle, but it wasn't much. He looked over when Evan asked for the hug.
"You may," he said, holding his arms open for Evan. He smiled softly. Evan was learning.
Evan smiled and hugged Fun tight. "Are you sure it's okay with you staying?" He asked, trying his hardest right now to not slip into sub space. A lot of this was involuntary which sucked. Maybe if he went up to his room and did some chores with his collar on he could snap out of it. He could only hope for so much though. He sighed and stood upright, straight backed, and began to do the dishes for his mom, unable to stay out of the sub space. Why bother fighting who he was? He just kept silent so Fun wouldn't think he was weird or push him away. A lot of his friends and lovers had done just that, thinking him as weird for having so much too him.
Fun smiled as he hugged Evan, letting his arms drop when Evan pulled away. There was something strange about how he was acting, but… That didn't mean Fun didn't like it. He watched Evan closely, leaning back in his chair as he just enjoyed the view. Of course, he want just blatantly staring at Evan. But he wanted to.
Evan blushed as he felt Fun staring, but didn't bother doing anything about it. He sighed as he finished loading the dish washer, and then turned around. Normally he'd challenge Fun by staring back but instead he simply bowed his head and walked off in perfect poise to his room. Alex watched and giggled as Evan's door shut. Even Crystal new, and often would ask those in sub space to do extra chores. She wanted her children to explore them selves and she got a bit of extra work out of them. A win win situation in her book.
