"Mhmm…" Nix finished the rest of the chicken and nuzzled against Halm's chest. "Less hungry, anyway…"
"Mhmm…" Nix finished the rest of the chicken and nuzzled against Halm's chest. "Less hungry, anyway…"
"That's good at least," Halm chuckled. He picked Nix up again as he stood, putting the plate away.
"Mmmmm…" Nix nuzzled against Halm's cheek affectionately, purring and smiling gently. He curled his tail around the other's arm and seemed to be content.
Halm was glad Nix was doing better, but he wondered if Cas ND Zachary would be back for their dinner any time soon. He sat down on the couch again, rubbing Nix's head.
(Time to switch over lol)
Cas and Zachary soon reached the caves, Cas clinging tightly to Zachary's hand. He looked up at the cave, relaxing a bit.
It had taken longer to get there than with Halm, but it was worth it. Zachary looked at Cas a little, keeping close as he turned on the flashlight.
"Ready?" He asked with a faint smile.
"Mhmm." Cas followed Zachary into the cave, always sticking close to the light. "I'm ready…"
Zachary held Cas close, leading him into the cave. Eventually, they made it to the first crystal room. Zachary let out a breath, smiling. Gorgeous, as usual.
Cas looked up at the crystals, his eyes wide with awe and sparkling with color. He quietly stepped forward to reach out and touch the crystals.
Zachary grinned at the look on Cas's face, carfully wrapping one arm around him. The crystal was as warm as the last time.
Cas gently ran his fingers along the colorful crystals, smiling gently for what felt like the first time in ages. He relaxed a bit and leaned his head against Zachary.
Zachary was glad Cas could relax here. He nuzzled Cas's head, his version of a kiss for now. He just couldn't bring himself to yet.
"I'm glad you like this," he said gently.
"Mm… yeah. I really do." Cas smiled a bit more brightly. "It's nice here. Especially the room with the pool.
Zachary nodded.
"You want to head in there?" He asked, looking down at Cas. Things were peaceful here.
Cas nodded and started walking. "Yeah, let's go." He headed down the path carefully, clinging to Zachary's hand.
Zachary kept the flashlight pointed ahead of them, keeping Cas close as they walked. This was nice.
"Feeling good?" He asked as they made their way into the room.
Cas nodded a bit, sitting down beside the pool of water once they entered the room. He didn't touch the water like he had the last time he had come here.
Zachary sat down quietly with Cas, gazing out at the water before them. He was still a fish, after all. He was just more used to being a human than Nix. He reached out with one finger, touching the water lightly.
(when you realize the dude with the fear of water is dating a fish)
(Lmao)
Cas eyed the water warily, seeming a bit nervous. Even though he'd touched it before and it hadn't hurt him, it made him uneasy now. What if the water had changed? What if it could kill him now too?
Zachary glanced over at Cas, lightly resting his not wet hand on Cas's.
"You're okay," he said gently. "It's healing water. It could never hurt you. I should know, I'm the one who makes it like this."
Cas nodded a bit. "I-I know, I just… it makes me nervous…" He sighed softly. He hesitated a bit before stretching one hand towards the water, not quite touching it yet.
"I understand completely," Zachary said softly. "You don't have to touch it, Cas. Not if it scares you." He watched Cas carefully.
"Mmkay…" Cas huddled close up against Zachary's side, holding his hands close to his chest. "Sorry I'm such a wuss…"
"You're not a wuss," Zachary said gently. He made sure his hand was dry, then wrapped both arms around Cas.
"You have every right to be afraid of water. I'd be more concerned if you weren't."
Cas nodded a bit and pulled himself into Zachary's lap, tucking his head under the other's chin. "I guess so… thanks, Zachary." He sighed softly.
"It's alright," Zachary said gently. He held Cas close, lightly rubbing his back. "I love you, you know,"he said quietly.
"I love you too…" Cas relaxed a bit at Zachary's touch and closed his eyes, smiling gently. His ex boyfriends had said the same thing to him, but they never meant it. It felt genuine from Zachary.
Zachary smiled softly as they sat together in the caves, light bouncing off the crystals and the water. Zachary lightly rested his head on Cas's, eyes closing for a moment.
(I'm drawing Cas on stream rn :0)
Cas looked around the cave from where he was sitting, sighing contentedly. "It's really pretty here…" He murmured softly.
