(It's ok)
Laura-Beth looked up at her daddy. ”Papa strong again?”
Lysander blinked a little at the question. ”Stronger, ma fille. I'll be better soon.” he nodded, though he didn't get the impression that was what she was really asking.
"Daddy's a little sick still" she said
”Not sick, just still sore.” he said softly.
Laura-Beth shook her head. ”No. Strong like grandpa and Uncle Evan.”
She shook her head " oh sweetheart "
”Is he?” she asked again.
”No, baby girl.” Lysander answered gently. ”Not yet. I have to get much better before that can happen.” he explained before looking at Betty. ”Plus your maman has to say it's ok.”
She smiled softly and looked at him
He smiled softly back and rubbed her shoulder. He did want to be with her forever… again, as he promised so many times but he didn't want to do it without her permission.
She let a single fall and looked away
He reached up and gently wiped the tear away. ”We can talk about it later, mon amour.” he whispered. ”No rush. I still have a ways to go first.”
Laura-Beth nuzzled closer to her mother. ”Don’t cry, mama.”
She smiled softly at her daughter
Laura-Beth yawned a little, though she wasn't really tired anymore.
Laura-Beth smiled a little and hugged her when her stomach growled.
Laura-Beth nodded a little. ”Yes, mama.”
" ill make you waffles" she said
”Yay!” Laura-Beth smiled brightly at the idea of waffles.
She kissed her head softly " how about you head downstairs "
“Ok.” she nodded, slowly pulling back from the hug.
she smiled softly " im gonna wake up evan" she said leaving the room she went out of the room and sped to evans room onto the bed so she was hovering over him
Laura-Beth grabbed her daddy's hand and started pulling at him, to go downstairs with her.
Lysander laughed a little at his daughter's effort. ”Hold on a minute, sweetie. I left my crutches in my room.”
Evan smiled and looked up at Betty. ”Good morning.”
" Hi" she said smiling down at him
“As wonderful as it is to wake up to your beautiful face, didn't you have to work today?” he asked smoothly, still smiling at her.
"Lysander isn't feeling well " she said
Evan nodded. ”At least he's recovering. Though sometimes I almost forget how slowly humans take to heal.” he admitted.
”It’s ok. He's far over the halfway mark. I know that much.” he encouraged softly. ”He should be back to normal for a human soon as long as he takes it easy and doesn't strain himself with those exercises.”
She gave him a shrug and layed her head on his chest
He smiled gently and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. ”So what brings you to my little guestroom?” he asked softly.
" to wake you up " she said
