Zachary hesitated a moment.
"She's able to do anything," he said. "And if we don't do what she wants… it's bad. It's worse than… than what happened to me. She's sadistic, Cas. She…" Zachary shook his head a little.

"She what, Zachary? Can I threaten her too?" Cas asked, huffing a bit. "I don't like it when people hurt you, Zachary."

"No," Zachary said quickly, quietly. "If you try to threaten her, she'll punish all of us. You, me, the cat, Halm, everyone down here. Please, we… no matter what, we need to keep her happy." Zachary held Cas closer, so very worried.

Cas sighed softly, huddling close. "But that's stupid…" He huffed. "You deserve to be happy too."

"I'd rather be safe," Zachary said gently. "The things she does… please, Cas, don't make me explain." Zachary patted Cas's head lightly.

"Alright, alright…" Cas sighed, huddling close. "I won't. I want you to be safe, Zachary."

"I want you to be safe too," Zachary said gently. He held Cas close, nuzzling his head gently.

"Mm…" Cas returned the nuzzles and curled up against Zachary. "I love you, Zachary…" He murmured softly.

"I love you too, Cas," Zachary said. He held Cas close, resting his head on Cas's and humming a little. Today had been a long day, and it was barely halfway over.

"Mmmmm…" Cas sighed softly after a few more minutes of cuddling. "I'm bored…" He whined. "Can we do something?"

"Is there anything you want to do?" Zachary asked, lifting his head away to look down at Cas. There really wasn't much to do in the Underworld.

"I dunno… something. There's just nothing to do here…" Cas sighed, burying his face in Zachary's chest. "I'm going crazy here…"

Zachary rubbed Cas's back, sighing.
"I see," he said gently. "What about the caves?"

"That would be fine, I think…" Cas sighed. "Do we need to ask Halm to go or can we just go?"

"We can just go," Zachary said. "I'll grab a flashlight as we leave." He held Cas close a moment, then shifted to get out of the bed.

"Mmkay." Cas slid out of bed behind Zachary and held tightly to his hand, staying as close to him as possible.

Zachary looked down at Cas, wrapping his other arm around Cas while still holding his hand. He led Cas out the door, turning to the kitchen to grab a flashlight as he avoided looking at Halm and Nix.

Nix looked up at them when they passed by, but kept quiet. Cas avoided looking at them as well, just cowering up against Zachary's side.

Halm watched Cas and Zachary walk by, holding Nix close. Hopefully, this wouldn't upset Nix again. Zachary held Cas a bit closer, grabbing the flashlight before turning to head out.

Nix sighed as Zachary and Cas walked out the door, burying his face back in Halm's chest. "They definitely hate us…" He mumbled.

"Cas is upset we hurt Zachary. He won't be upset at you forever," Halm said gently. He wrapped his arms around Nix, holding him close.

"Mm…" Nix huddled closer, keeping his face hidden. "I'm starving… feed me?" He asked, his voice a bit muffled.

"Sure," Halm said gently. "Is there anything you'd prefer to eat?" Halm stood, holding Nix close as he moved to the kitchen.

"I don't care as long as it won't make me sick or something… what foods are poisonous to humans?" He asked.

"Well," Halm started, deciding just to make some chicken, "Humans can't really handle uncooked meat. Except fish, for some reason."
