Halm sat down on the couch, wanting to snuggle with Nix a bit. He sighed softly, relaxing.

Nix nuzzled against Halm, purring softly in content. "Mmm… I'm tired." He murmured. "Busy day, huh?"

Halm pet Nix's head, sighing softly. "Very," he agreed. Of course, that didn't mean it was anywhere close to done. A very, very pissed of Gloria climbed out of Halm's pocket.
"What the absolute fuck was that?!" She demanded.

Nix jumped and hissed, puffing up a bit in fear. He was clearly startled by Gloria's sudden appearance. "What do you mean?"

"What do you mean 'what do I mean?!' You just assaulted the one person Cas trusts the most!! This is not okay!! Do you know how much this could hurt him?! Zachary will end up too afraid to get as close to Cas as even before he 'pushed to far.' We're trying to help Cas stop having abandonment issues you absolute idiots!!" Gloria was standing, hands on his, on Halm's arm to be closer to both of their faces.

Nix winced a bit. "Zachary is going to hurt Cas if he continues down this path! Even kissing could potentially set Cas off. He's had bad experiences with relationships and he's not stable enough to be entering another one. Zachary is pushing him into something that's going to be stressful and emotionally draining for him."

"Then you should of had a discussion with him about that! Not beat him to a body pulp! If you had explained it to him, he's obviously the kind of man to respect what you say!" Gloria scowled deeply. Halm blinked a few times, completely shocked.

"Well, I told him to stop touching him when he was getting too touchy feely, but he didn't stop. He just tried to ignore me and got even closer. I'm not going to stand for something that could hurt Cas."

"Did you forget I was there?" Gloria said. "I've been here, for the entire fucking ordeal. Not of my own volition, of course," she said, giving Halm a dirty look, "you terrify to poor man, even before you brutally attacked him. Of course he'll want to ignore you! Paying attention to you would have mortified him, and I doubt he wanted Cas to see that. Unlike you, who have the highly injured Zachary and are making him lay with Cas without letting him be treated for his injuries, specifically to make him feel pain with he's with Cas, and threatening him with more violence if he lets Cas know in any way he's in pain. You're all a bunch of sadistic fuckers, is what you are."

"You haven't seen what other men do to Cas the way I have. You haven't watched firsthand as he was abused and raped and been able to do nothing about it, because you were just a fucking cat and they just pushed you away whenever you tried to intervene. You haven't seen Cas falling to pieces after they left, trying to kill himself because they only wanted him for his body. Because they never really loved him. The only reason he didn't follow through was because no one else would feed me if he was dead. I cannot trust Zachary. I cannot allow him to break him or scare him or hurt him, regardless of his intentions. If we can't keep him in line, he will hurt Cas. I refuse to let Cas experience that again."

"You said it yourself-" Gloria said, jabbing a finger towards Halm, "-said he would be careful with Cas. If you had sat down with him, and had a calm conversation, he would have backed down. He couldn't have known what he did could hurt Cas that way."

"He was in the room during our little therapy session! He heard every word. He knows Cas's past, and he's not being careful enough with him." Nix crossed his arms and huffed. "His ignorance puts Cas in danger."

"His ignorance could have been easily taken care of by a calm conversation. And last I check, he was paying less attention to the conversation and more to taking care of Cas." Gloria huffed, nostrils flaring a bit. "But no, you had to beat him, and now there's a definite likely hood that Zachary won't be able to be close to Cas anymore, and he'll either end up abandoning Cas or be too terrified to actually have a relationship of any kind with him. Any way it goes down, Cas gets hurt."

"We're protecting Cas. He can't be in a relationship again so soon. It's not safe for him." Nix insisted. He'd decided he wasn't going to budge no matter what Gloria said. He felt like his actions were justified. "It is my job to protect Cas, and if I need to do that to Zachary to keep him safe, I will do so without hesitation. Cas is my top priority."

Gloria sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose and closing her eyes.
"Look, it's obvious I'm not going to change your crazy, murderous mind about this. Just know you're the one who's going to hurt Cas in the long run." Gloria climbed down from Halm's arm, moving to head to the bedroom if no one stopped her.
And next time you have one of these sexually charged cuddle sessions, leave me to fuck out of it. And I'll be damned if I'm going back in that pocket. I'll be staying with Cas from now on so he'll be able to talk to me whenever he needs to."

Nix rolled his eyes and huddled up against Halm. He flushed a bit when she mentioned the 'sexually charged cuddle sessions' and seemed rather confused. Once she was gone, he turned his gaze up to Halm and whispered, "What does that mean?"

Halm had blushed deeply when Gloria had said what she had about them.
"I.. uh… it means…" Halm floundered a bit.
"It means she thinks us cuddling and me petting you is… um… gonna lead to sex."

Nix flushed now as well, turning his ears back. "… But I'm a cat? I don't know how to have sex! And I kinda just like getting pet… and I'm also a really small person, especially compared to you, so that would hurt a lot."

"Well, you don't look exactly like a cat right now," Halm pointed out. "And yeah, it would definitely hurt if we did it just as we are now. Thankfully, that's not really gonna happen." Halm smiled just a little. "I'm more than happy to pet you, though."

Nix nodded and nuzzled against Halm's chest, purring quietly. "She's strange. I don't know how much I like her, but she seems to be helping Cas at least to some extent, so…"

"So we'll just have to deal with her for now. Maybe she's not so bad." Halm went to lightly scratching Nix's head, humming softly in content for now.

Nix nodded again and leaned into Halm's hand, purring a bit louder. He closed his eyes and relaxed with a sigh, turning his ears back again.

Halm finally relaxed into the couch, holding Nix gently as he scratched his head and back.

Cas was still asleep when Gloria came into the bedroom, huddled up with Zachary on the bed.

Gloria climbed up onto the bed as best she could. Zachary noticed, carefully reaching to help her up. He was still withdrawn from Cas, letting him snuggle without putting his arms around the other.
